It's too bad there aren't more reviews of medical services on Yelp. Clearly, it's more exciting and fun to review last night's dinner out vs. treatment of an ingrown toenail or getting a prescription for the flu. I've been coming to Dr. Sosinski of IMG since 1983 when I moved to Lawrence. He's served me so well over this time. As a family practitioner he strikes me as an exceptionally intelligent physician that listens well, has few words, but is compassionate and caring for his patients. About ten years ago they moved to a new facility and it's state of the art and includes its own pharmacy plus offices for several other physicians that are part of the group. Most of them have also been with the firm well over 20 years. I had the unfortunate chance to meet Dr. Sosinski today after waiting 3 months for my first apt. What a waste of time. He tried to opt out of seeing me from the moment he laid eyes on me because supposedly I was out of town. When do doctors not want to see patients simply because they do not live in their city but 20 miles away and this was only one of many excuses. He neglected to give me any meds for an ear infection he diagnosed after comparing both my ears. He did not ask to see my diabetic feet even though I told him about a sore on my toe. He did not want to look at the problems with my back, legs, or neck. And I was diagnosed from the hospital with decaying of the 6th vertebra of which he was informed. Is there anything this doctor does want to treat? I will do him a huge favor and look for a better doctor who will be happy to have my business. read more

My mother has been seeing Dr stuever for 5 years now. I was unsure of him at first, not due to him personally, it was just years of years of diagnosises, hospital stays ect. But he has been absolutely phenomonal. He has supported her every step of the way in her journey with her breathing issues. He goes above the call, even helped carry tanks out to our car. My only complaint are some of the secretaries who answer phone calls and schedule visits...they can be a bit rude..I've had to check em a few times for trying to get mouthy...of course they can't win against the queen! This facility is clean, well staffed, and most of the employees strive to help. However, one huge negative, is the extremely difficult means of communicating with your doctor(s). All information seems to go thru your doctors nurse, who is naturally rarely sitting at the phone to take your call. So instead, you leave a voice mail, not knowing when, or even if, your call will be returned. Then 4 hours later, when you sitting comfortably at lunch with a new lady friend, or golfing with your buds, you'll get the call, and this is when you can finally discuss your gonorrhea test results, your hemorrhoids, or your concerns about anal cancer. I like my doctor and am very satisfied with the treatment I have received. However, they do a very bad job supporting patients. They no longer send notices when tests are needed, the voicemail much too long and time consuming. I want a medical home where I feel like my health matters. read more
