Dr. Suber is an excellent doctor who cares about patients and takes the necessary time with you…read morerather than rushing you in and out. Her staff are friendly, professional and efficient unlike many practices in town who seem to care less about patients and drop the ball when it comes to personal attention and professionalism. The practice is small enough that you get the individual attention you need while offering ancillary services such as lab work on site. They offer electronic check in using a tablet where you can even pay your bill by swiping your credit card as well as a patient portal where your electronic record can be updated and checked. My only complaint being the fact I that after one week I was not notified about whether or not my lab work was complete, causing concern over the results. Went for about a week thinking my intestine had blown a hole. Finally I could no longer stand it…read moreso I went to the ER. Before I could even sit down I was taken in, given pain medication, whisked off to get a cat scan and returned to the ER. They found the problem and it got fixed. The Doctors, the nurses, the radiologist were just so understanding, professional and just all around great people. I would recommend the EK VA Medical Center Emergency Room every day of the week and twice on Sundays. I use the EKVAMC on a regular basis for Physical Therapy, regular medical treatment and for my Pharmaceutical needs. The Physical Therapy section is absolutely fantastic. They have helped me fix problems that I have lived with for years. I am sure there is no better place to go for PT. The Red Team is absolutely responsive, you are taken care of in a very reasonable time frame. I use the My Healthy Web Site to communicate and always get a response within 24 hours but mostly less than 4 hours.

They have refused to refill some of my meds that are for a lifelong illness and have been inconsistent with my husbands mental health medication which is quite dangerous. It seems they are holding it over out heads to make an appointment, but we are doing fine with CONSISTENT access to our prescriptions. It's also not the time to make unnecessarily appointments... Ultimately, it's okay if your in a pinch. But don't expect speedy responses or general accessibility. I know covid is making things a bit bumpy, but the least they can do is make sure we have our time sensitive medication without having to tell them face to face that nothing has changed.

For two years, I struggled to find a doctor who would take my health concerns seriously. After…read morebeing repeatedly dismissed as a hypochondriac or drug seeker at other hospitals, my trust in the medical system was completely gone. Then I found out that DeSoto had an Urgent Care of Kansas clinic that opened in my hometown of De Soto, and I decided to give it a chance, though I was still incredibly anxious and skeptical. From the moment I met Dr. Saboor Rashid, the experience was different. He didn't just listen to my long list of symptoms; he really listened. He was attentive and took the time to examine me. He confidently diagnosed my issue and assured me, "I know what that is, we're going to fix it." When I left the office, still filled with doubt, I returned to ask him to confirm my diagnosis. His compassionate response, "Let's not worry about the diagnosis--take the medicine and come back to your next appointment. I do believe you," was exactly what I needed to hear. Just as he predicted, I started getting better. He has since put me on a path to healing, and my chronic conditions are improving. The severe rash that tormented me for so long is finally gone. My arthritis is under control. I'm looking into different ways to lose weight. I have also been able to get off medications like Xanax, pain pills, and Suboxone. It isn't just Dr. Rashid who makes this place special, although he could be, is that amazing. Tony, who man's the front desk,( I do need to set an appointment) answers phone calls, provides technical support with the tablets and is right on with his ability to handle insurance and patient questions all while keeping everything else in order to not once has shown if he was frustrated or makes me feel like I'm annoying if I ask questions. He is amazing. In all my visits to both the De Soto and Gardner offices, I have yet to encounter a single person who is rude or condescending. The entire staff is knowledgeable, truly wants to help, and will help. I've never trusted a doctor more and can't recommend this clinic enough. When my kids need urgent care, who are 4 and 5 years old; one of them has a brain injury, they come here too. I can't give this place enough stars and I'm not exaggerating if you're looking for a new primary care doctor or you just need to get urgwn, this is the place to be you won't find a better team! Thank you Dr. Rashid Saboor, we're having such great bedside manner alongside of your knowledge and compassion, Tony and the whole Urgent Care of Kansas team, you're fabulous!

I was so excited to find a direct care provider that didn't take insurance. From what I had heard…read moredirect care meant a bit more free thinking and open minded from the pressure of big pharmaceutical. Boy was I was wrong here!! Before being released from the hospital after my baby was born I had to have a follow up appointment with a pediatrician. My baby was less than a week old when we were seen here. The doctor did the assessment which went fine. However as soon as she was done she asked "does he have all his shots" I said no and the whole tone changed. She became incredibly irritated in tone even slamming her laptop closed when we tried to explain our stance. I actually started crying in the office and she said to me " are you going to tell me why you are really crying or will you just say it's after pregnancy emotions". My husband and I could not get out of this place fast enough. I was so traumatized by the treatment, and still think about it to this day and get sick to my stomach. I cried for days after and believe me have told whoever will listen! A friend ended up finding a pediatrician in Topeka who truly lives by what I expected from direct primary care. Who treats me with respect and never pressures my stance. So I cannot recommend enough, if you are an outside the box thinker DO NOT COME HERE!
