Because it's in the boonies of Westford (30 minutes from home and far from the hustle and bustle of the Market Basket area) we left early. Got there 20 minutes before noon, which was when the listing said the raffle started. A comedy of errors ensued...no idea where to go inside, tried a Members Only door to no avail, stood outside looking silly for awhile, and finally decided to enter the Hall door only to learn the raffle was actually at 1. Fortunately the beers were cheap and the members bar was open to us "outsiders" during the raffle. Looked like a good place to hang out/join if you're a local.

They were always available to answer questions (I'm sorry to say I called a lot) and would find ways to make your vision come true. We had our ceremony on site and the planning couldn't have been easier. They also decorated the place exactly how we imagined it (without much direction!!) and we had very little to do on the final day. If the amazing service, beautiful gardens, and clean, open space isn't enough, the food is also delicious! I honestly could not have asked for a better venue. They far exceeded my expectations and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

There are chandeliers everywhere. Some of the decorations outside of the hall were a bit 80's gaudy and the bathroom needed a complete makeover, but that hardly changed my impression. The staff was excellent and the food was edible. What more do you need?

Bartender was angry with my daughter for bringing in a can of seltzer water and whipped it off the table. I don't know if she thought it was alcohol but it was just a Spindrift. She didn't have an issue with others having Dunkin Donuts drinks, just the can. We didn't order any additional drinks that night, nor did we point the huge amount of desserts and pizza she packed to go from the buffet table.... Overall it is a lovely room, great parking, beautiful view and the location couldn't be better right off the highway. We were looking for a local wedding venue and couldn't have been happier with Teresa's Hillview…read moreCountry Club in North Reading and their wedding coordinator, Sharon Shaugnessy. The function area had plenty of room for our 175 guests to mingle, with a large dance floor and a great spot for the DJ with his giant video screen. Their bartenders and serving staff were very professional, fun, and there was never a wait at the bar. There is a large deck overlooking the beautiful golf course and a side room that provided a nice place for our guests to enjoy the amazing appetizers, drinks, and music while we took our photos. Teresa's also provided a huge private area for the wedding party to relax and enjoy appetizers prior to being announced, and a safe place to store changes of clothes and other personal items. There was also plenty of parking and Teresa's provided an attendant as well. Sharon was easy to work with, was extremely supportive during the planning, and was in control and calm during the reception to ensure our day went as planned! We had some unique needs and special desires and Sharon was very accommodating. For example, we decided to have a dessert table in lieu of a wedding cake; we put our trust in Sharon to take care of that for us and she far exceeded every expectation! Our dessert bar was absolutely amazing and our guests raved about it! Additionally, she was so helpful with our request for food stations instead of a traditional sit down meal. The biggest hit...a mashed potato bar, with loads of toppings and served in martini glasses! Our guests couldn't get enough! Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be because of the planning and facility offered by Teresa's Hillview and Sharon Shaugnessy. If you are looking for a wedding venue in the North Reading area, we strongly recommend Teresa's and Sharon!

It could have used more seasoning, and the medium steak was well done, but everything was fresh, so we appreciated that. The views and grounds were incredible, but what I wanted to focus on was the Service. It more than made up for the food! We have traveled all over and eat out quite a bit (too often), and this place has the best staff we have had the pleasure of dining with. We were greeted by Diane, and Patti was our server. Both were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Diane, the hostess, greeted us with the biggest smile and was so welcoming. She walked us to our seats and even offered to move our table so we could have the best view. We closed the place down, and we decided last minute to get a gift card for friends we knew would love the experience. She restarted the POS system to do this for us, even though it was late, she could have asked us to come back another day. Patti was so helpful with food and drink selections. She checked on us often but was not intrusive. Even the younger staff moving tables at the end of the night smiled a lot and made conversation with us. There was an acoustic guitarist playing in the background at just the perfect volume. It enhanced the experience. Some places we've been the music has been obnoxiously loud. Clearly their focus is on top-notch service and they seem to enjoy working together. We were so impressed and look forward to going back.

GUEST REVIEW: Attended a wedding here on a Saturday in September…read more I assume most wedding parties have a similar setup consisting of: - Ceremony outside in the designated area with an artificial grass/turf to the right of the building. - Happy Hour/ Cocktail and Light Apps upstairs and to the left with deck access and some outside seating. - Reception Dinner & Dancing upstairs and to the right, also with deck access. As a guest, everything seemed great and to go well. They were well staffed and everyone was friendly and busy with their tasks and stations. They were timely with moving us between spaces and activities, and had everything set up and ready to go. The only real "waiting" was between HH and Reception which can take time, but there was light bites and drinks to keep guests occupied. For this wedding it was a beautiful day and the weather was pretty good. It was a little chilly outside and a non-complaint was that it was a little windy.. just something for brides to consider but that should be expected when choosing an outdoor venue, and one that is beach/water front! The outside ceremony area was nice. They have some fake grass down that helps with shoes, so ladies can wear heels without the "beach" concerns like sand and rocks. The musicians were set up to the left and it was a nice area with the bride/groom sides and aisle in between. It is "enclosed" along the back and side with a wall and pretty doorway - doors were closed and opened for the brides entrance. The microphone/speaker had some interference - unsure if that was quality, connection, or wind reasons - likely a mixture but it was more "cutting out" then static or ringing, etc. The building was nice and simply decorated. Downstairs had the restrooms and I think also the bridal suite. The stairs are to the left as you walk in and there is also an elevator. It did get a little crowded to get in after the reception as everyone is trying to get up stairs. The bathrooms were a little tight with only 2 stalls in the womens, but it was manageable. As mentioned, there are two rooms upstairs and the hallway area where the seating chart and wedding items (decor, envelope holder, sign in book, etc. - and later party favors) were placed. The HH room is a little smaller and had a long barstool seating table down the middle, a cute little corner with sofa and chairs, plus tables set up along the perimeter. There was also some seating on the deck which was nice for fresh air as it did get crowded, depending on the guest size. The bar was on the far end of the room. The reception room was larger in comparison and had sliding doors - those were kept closed during HH and then opened once it was time to transfer. The layout had the tables right as you entered, and then the dance floor and "stage" at the far end. There was a door or two to access the deck from the reception room on the left-window side at both ends. The only complaint I had with the setup is that there wasnt really a proper "aisle" or entry way for the bridal party to make their entrance - they had to weave through the space between tables... not a big deal though. We were seated in the middle - only one table between us and the stage but it was a little difficult to see the happenings on stage at times - but all in all, it was a nice space with enough room where it was needed. They had a bar only in the HH room, so you did have to go between the two rooms for bevs - outside of red and white wine, which was conveniently on every table. I did not see a water station which I think is one thing I would recommend they add... The staff was very good about getting the courses out and tables cleared to keep the night going... but almost too good during the after meal/party time... i understand wanting to have an easy or quick cleanup for the night end but for example, they started removing the wine and water carafes and glasses... and again, with no water station that I could see, when you went back to your table to drink your water or wine, and it was gone, it left you surprised and thirsty! The food was pretty good - we had option of a chicken, steak, and maybe pasta? dish. Everyone at our table got the meat... they were all cooked slightly different temp/doneness wise, so mine was a little more well done than I would have preferred - still tasty though.. lots of flavor and seasoning! They had the cake slices put out at a table up front so guests could help themselves... and they set up a coffee/tea station in HH room. All in all, I thought it was a nice venue. Well staffed and the staff were friendly and all where they needed to be doing what they needed to do! The space was decorated nicely (base) and I'm sure each bridal party has the ability to decorate to their style and liking. And it was a pretty decent size allowing for a good group of guests.

As a wedding guest, I'm going in with the assumption that all food was provided by The Oceanview…read more Our friends wanted to get married at The Oceanview, and they were so booked that the wedding ended up being a weekday event, beginning before sunset, when the sun was just drifting behind the trees. Talk about great timing for avoiding the possibility of any sunburns. This was just my second beach side wedding experience, so it is a very real risk. The wind was a silent participant, blowing the bride's veil as it wished, and then declining to blow when it would have been helpful. Nothing Oceanview could do about this. More of a warning to future brides with an eye to an outdoor wedding. The outdoor wedding ceremony space is covered in fake grass and faces the rocky beach. So it is safe for heels. But anyone planning a walk on the beach should be aware. Parking is along the beach side of the road as their across the street neighbor is a golf course that needs its own parking spots as well. Stairs lead to the lobby of The Oceanview, where a two stall ladies room resides. However, the indoor party space is all up on the second level, up a flight of stairs, where the cocktail hour was set up in a room to the left, down a couple of steps. The open bar at the end had printed drink menus which included mocktail options. The room also opened to an outdoor patio where smokers were welcomed with ashtrays. There was a boat of jumbo shrimp cocktail and shucked shellfish, and passed appetizers, of which the short rib quesadilla was my favorite. Later, doors opened to the space to the right, to expose a grand dining room. Everything looked nice. Indeed it is a pleasant setting for a wedding! Water and champagne toasts were already poured out, with one empty wine glass apiece for us to pour our choice of white or red. The champagne was a nice one. An assorted bread basket arrived warm with seasoned swirls of butter, followed shortly by the salad course. Which in our case was a tasty spinach salad with fresh sliced pear, goat cheese, dried cranberries and walnuts. My entree was short rib, served as two hearty slices of tender beef on a bed of pilaf, and 4 spears of asparagus. I later discovered an assortment of desserts displayed in the cocktail room along with self serve coffee and tea. Whole sliced cakes, along with mini cakes, cream puffs, cannoli, and cookies. The cake was tender, and perhaps was the same cake base as the wedding cake which was lastly served. Our drink glasses were cleared from the tables all too soon. It left me without water to drink when enjoying my slice of wedding cake that I retrieved from the corner under a screen with the wedded pair's names, and still dancing guests without a way to sooth their parched throats.
