Today my Toyota Corolla turns 14 years old. I bought it brand new with just 4 miles on the odometer, and after Toyota Care ended at 24,000 miles, I've trusted Lawrence Auto Shop with every service ever since. More than 326,000 miles later, my Corolla is still running strong thanks to the exceptional care and attention to detail from Sam, Moe, and Lawrence. Their honesty, expertise, and fair pricing have earned my trust for well over a decade. I've recommended them to my family, friends, and coworkers because I know they'll be treated with the same integrity and professionalism I've experienced over the years. Thank you, Sam, Moe, and Lawrence, for helping keep my Corolla on the road for 14 amazing years. Here's to many more miles together! read more

I trusted this shop for 12 years, but this experience ended that relationship. I hope no one else has to go through what I experienced. My car was towed to Lawrence Auto Repair on 11/11/25 for installation of a used transmission with 78,000 miles. I paid $2,863.72 on 11/17/25, which included a 90-day warranty. On my drive home, the car immediately began jerking while cruising. I contacted Sam and was told to bring the car back. Because I was almost home, I returned the vehicle the following day. I was told the car would need to stay a few hours while they waited for a part, and transportation home was provided. Later that same day, I was told the car was ready. At that time, I was told the transmission was still not right but advised to drive it 300-400 miles and return if the problem continued. Not feeling comfortable with that advice, I took the car to a different shop on 11/21/25 for a 70-point inspection. That inspection revealed burnt, milky transmission fluid and metal on the drain plug, indicating internal transmission failure and contamination. After receiving this information, I immediately contacted Lawrence Auto Repair and requested a refund, as I no longer trusted the repair. Sam then offered to have the transmission rebuilt by another shop at no additional cost, with a 3-year warranty. I returned the car on 11/22/25. Sam was apologetic at that time. I picked up my vehicle on 12/5/25. The final invoice reflects a 36-month / 3,600-mile warranty. While the shop ultimately corrected the situation, this issue should never have occurred in the first place. While I appreciate the final resolution, this experience permanently damaged my trust. read more

I'm from NorCal and ended up stranded in Anaheim when my engine completely gave out. Luckily, I found this auto shop nearby. They replaced the entire engine, and while it took about two weeks, they really came through. Naseem was incredibly kind--he even offered to help me get a hotel, which I truly appreciated. The team kept me updated and worked through all the issues with my car. A year later, my car is still running strong--honestly better than when I first bought it. Huge thanks to the team here. read more

We had an issue with a cover underneath our car dragging. I found Lawrence on Yelp and boy was I not disappointed! We just drove in and they immediately were friendly and said they had time to take a look. We were given cold water bottles while waiting and all staff were so kind. In 10 minutes they had secured the cover and had the car ready to go. We had a long drive back to the Bay Area so the speed on this turnaround was amazing. Great service!! read more

We are in the middle of a huge summer road trip from northern AB to Cali and our power steering system broke down. Talk about panic and stress. So thankful for Yelp and finding Lawrence's shop just a few blocks from our hotel. They open at 8am but I popped by earlier to drop my vehicle off. Sam, at the front desk, greeted with me patience and a warm smile. He gave me and my kiddo refreshing cold bottles of water which honestly helps a lot when you are overwhelmed and over heating. They repaired my vehicle in a flash and even let me keep it there overnight so that I wouldn't have to miss out on Disney time with the fam jam. When I picked it up, Sam had the broken piece ready to show me and the mechanic to answer any of my questions. The write up was clear and he highlighted the warranty part through NAPA and the roadside assistance that comes complimentary with the fix. Of course I wish this had never happened but I sure am thankful that it did happen in town (and not on the desert highway) and that I was able to lean on my fellow Yelpers to find somewhere close by and trustworthy. Two thumbs way up for Lawrence's shop and their fabulous staff! read more

I needed an oil change expeditiously and I called the day before seeing if it was possible to do before or after work as I drive a lot for work. I came close to closing time and Sam helped me out with no problem! They took 20 minutes for my oil change, the fastest I've ever had it done! Thank you to Sam and everyone for helping me out! You guys are the best! read more

I love this shop and thankful it's near my house . Mohammad and Steve I believe his name was really went above and beyond for me last week . Went in for an oil change , ended up needed more work. I was there with my 1 yr old daughter so didn't want to be there for hrs so he had a very nice mechanic drive us home and pick us up. I thought I was gonna have to walk home with her but so thankful I didn't have to. Their prices are soooo reasonable and don't ever feel haggled here. I feel comfortable and can trust that everything they recommend is valid . I have never found a place I can trust because I worked in auto for 5 years I know behind the scenes and always been skeptical of car shops . And because I'm a female they would always try to rip me off because they thought I didn't know about card. They don't try anything like that here. Will continue to service my two vehicles here. read more

Love love love these guys! I went in last minute today for a smog & was met at the door with a bottle of water, told there was fresh coffee & a hand reaching out for my DMV info & told it would be done right away. I came here a long time ago because my old Toyota Avalon was having issues. They were super welcoming and kind. They actually refused to work on my car saying it would be better I go to the dealership for a fix instead because they wanted to ensure that I get a proper fix with my car. I was very impressed and pleased with the honesty and transparency to forego the chances of making a quick buck. Really really express my gratitude to these guy's professionalism and integrity. read more

I had Lawrence help/fix my car on and off. Sam and the crew are kind and always quick to offer water, etc. But the last service broke my trust and was dismissed with many questions. Unable to fix my Prius after trusting his diagnosis, trustingly paid the amount asked but the car was not fix. At the end, i was advised to bring the vehicle to Toyota dealership because they have the complete tool to check the vehicle. They should have told me that in the beginning before order/replacing parts that does not fix the problem. Anyways, they have provided me happy service in the past but not the last time. I wish them luck and hoping their approach change. read more

I have been here a few times and I absolutely love this auto shop. The team was honest, resourceful and helpful that is something not easy to find for an auto shop. Will continue to service my vehicle here and recommend it to others as well. read more

This auto repair shop is a gem. If I lived closer, I would have all of my cars serviced here. I live in another county but travelled to Anaheim. On my way up, my battery light pops up. After recently swearing off dealerships, I searched for auto repair close to the hotel and found this place. They are closed on sundays but I called with plans to leave a message. Mid message, they answered and I explained what was going on. Being that I was out of town, I just wanted to make sure it could be repaired efficiently wherever I brought it. They were confident they could fix it so I brought it in as soon as the opened the following day and by noon it was fixed Thank you so much Lawrence auto repair! The customer service and the auto knowledge was amazing! read more

This place deserves even more than 5 stars for their customer service! The guys were so nice and helpful. I worked nearby and my splash guard underneath my front bumper came undone and it was dragging so I had to find the nearest shop. They helped me so quick and wouldn't even let me pay them because it was a quick and easy fix. They also gave me one of their homemade chocolate chip muffins that I would also give 5 stars! Overall just good people and I would 100% recommend! read more

The only auto mechanic I go to where you feel more than a customer. My sister used to drive from Hawthorne here for a oil change but recently relocated so the distance is too far or else she would come. I remained loyal to them due to a issue I thought was bigger than it was and they took me the same day. There was a small pebble lodged in the tire and break that made the worst sound. At the time many years ago Mohammad looked it over and gave me a honest analysis and I remained loyal ever since with three other vehicles I have purchased along the way. I have always appreciated their honesty which has led me to return as a 10+ year customer. read more

Took a trip to LA from the Bay-area and my rear brakes went out before the grapevine. I was with my family and it was point of no return. I was metal to metal from the grapevine, thru LA bumper to bumper traffic and made it to Disneyland. Searched yelp and found Lawrence auto repair. He took me in the same day and got me in and out within a few hours. He looked over the vehicle, replaced what was needed and I was back on the road to finish my LA vacation. I do not believe I'll ever find a mechanic I trust and appreciate more than I do Mohammad and his team. I first reached out to them on Christmas Eve in 2014 with a need for an oil change on my Subaru to drive home to Santa Cruz. They took care of it that day, and kept my business for the following 6+ years for services including brakes, battery replacements, fuel sensor fixes, serpentine belts, and probably more that are slipping my mind as I write this review. Mohammad is direct about the things he can't help with, and gave me advice on how to avoid being swindled by other mechanics. He does his research for product recalls at the expense of earning more money. We occasionally brought Lily, our 55-lb husky-akita mix, to the shop while we waited. Mohammad would give her a bowl of water and a can of cat food to pass the time (please don't expect this level of service! This is an anecdote!). They do keep a clean shop, so if you do bring your pets, please try to vacuum pet hair from your car so they can keep their shop and clothes clean! But I digress... If you live or work in Orange or LA counties, these guys are worth your business. They work with integrity and honesty, and will make you feel taken care of. I moved from Anaheim, CA to Brooklyn, NY a year ago, and Mohammad lands easily in the top 5 people I miss from home. read more

The team at Lawrence's Auto Repair absolutely saved me! I took my car in earlier today after the red oil can light turned on as I was pulling into my hotel here in Anaheim. I'm here just until tomorrow morning so I started to panic a bit just thinking of having to take my car in and having to deal with being overcharged and treated as women tend to be treated when going to a mechanic. Well, after reading one of their sparkling yelp reviews and speaking on the phone with one of the team members, I can honestly tell you that I have never EVER had a more pleasant experience at an auto repair shop than the one I had today. As I walked up to the counter, I was warmly greeted and offered an ice cold bottle of water while I waited. Turned out, all I needed was an oil change. I couldn't believe that they didn't take the opportunity to try to upsell me/ scare me into paying more for a service I may not have needed. What started out as an inconvenience of having to pause my disney trip to take my car in, turned out to make my day even better just being in the presence of these warm, kind gentlemen. I wish all auto repair shops would be this pleasant to visit and I really wish I had them closer to home! So thank you to everyone today at Lawrence's Auto Repair, from the bottom of my heart you have no idea how much you brightened my day! read more

I've been going to Lawrence's Auto since 2018 and they have consistently again and again have been hospitable, helpful, and genuine in helping out with my car repairs and oil change. This is my second time to Lawrence's Auto Repair and they have a loyal customer in me! They were kind, quick, and took the time to patiently instruct me on what I needed to know and watch for to take good care of my car in between visits. Since I don't know much about cars, I hate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of due to that lack of knowledge, rather than cared for and educated. It always frustrates me, because as a pediatric nurse, I give the same level of care to every patient, regardless of their knowledge, and I educate them when they don't know how to best care for their child. I feel like they are honest and give good care, I'm grateful that I haven't worried about that here :) Plus, they always make sure that you have a cold bottle of water while you wait! read more
