It was about to rain, so I didn't have a chance to explore too much. HOWEVER, I'll be back to dig around in the dirt, so to speak. Their annuals were on sale -- so I got some great deals to supplement the plants I've already killed halfway through the summer. LOL The staff were super helpful in assisting me to take the plants to my car and provide a box to carry everything in. She was chatty and friendly. She also commiserated about my insane squirrel problem -- she agreed with me how pesky they are. However, none of these things are unduly influencing this review -- no quid pro quo here for a good review. She had no idea I'm a Yelper. :) The only drawback - and it's not a huge deal - is that the parking lot is smaller. If it was full, it might be difficult to maneuver in. The lot entrance also sneaks up on you. Look for the road sign by their mailbox! When I go back, I'll try to capture some photos and more details. This place should be fun to keep checking into, adding to my little apartment flower garden! I love my little container garden. Unfortunately, so do those dang squirrels.

Butterfield's is usually my go-to flower shop in Farmington. I have had some really great customer…read moreservice moments there, like when I needed some last-minute blooms for my sister's bridal shower and someone there brought me into the flower cooler and we put something very special together. However, this last time I called, I did not get what I ordered and I'm rather disappointed. My sister just landed her first real job and I wanted a small arrangement that included peonies, nothing too. difficult. I was told that they did have some peonies in stock, despite it being just after mother's day, and that they could accommodate my request. I paid about $60 for a 10" tall arrangement, which I felt was fair. Turns out, the arrangement she actually received was almost all carnations and not a single peony, worth maybe like $40 maximum. It was clear, after seeing it myself in person, that this was a pre-made floral arrangement and they did not take my request whatsoever. To make matters worse, they spelled my sister's name wrong. I would sort of expect them to double-check something like that if they don't feel like they heard me correctly. Anyway, I still think they normally provide great customer service, but I was just very disappointed this time and hope they can learn from this mistake. I'd also like to encourage the floral designers at Butterfield's to look at some stylish modern arrangements. The one I got looked like it it was cool in 1995. Not in a good way.
