He took the money and only completed a rough install of the door and deck framing. He then said he needed more money for the rest of the supplies. That is the last time we saw him. He said the supplies would be delivered on June 6th 2021 and he would get back to work. He has not responded to any calls, texts, or emails since. He completely abandoned the project and took our money. After a google search of his name I found that this is not the first time he has done this. DO NOT HIRE THIS SCAM ARTIST!

Recently we had a handyman doing some work at my home and he had an issue and thought he put a screw through a wire so he stopped work on the ceiling fan, we called Billy Beard Electric to come out and assess the situation. The staff that visited the home said there was no issue and no screw through a wire and installed the fan but said that the handyman had burned up the motor in the fan and it would need to be replaced, and then gave me a $125+ dollar invoice for the service call. Then after a new fan motor was purchased we called someone to come and install the new motor and found not only one but two screws were through wires in my ceiling. I called Billy Beard as I was frustrated that his crew was told there was a possible screw through a wire and they said that wasn't the issue, after informing Billy Beard of the issue and asking if he thinks I should owe this bill or not the response was "pay what you want but maybe Billy Beard Electric shouldn't do anymore work for you". Not the resolution I was hoping for, I will pay for this bill as it is obvious that Billy Beard believes I should pay for this and I agree that his staff did spend time at my home but they also left an issue that could have easily burned down my home. In time I may change my mind and use Billy Beard Electric again but for now there is no way I can recommend them to a friend or family member. Disappointed in this service.

The list of things he did or didn't do: -hired for a 11/2019 end date, they stopped showing up around March or April of 2020 -cut in to our 8 in basement concrete (had to pay him extra), now we have water damage/basement that leaks -refused to put a sump pump in that we paid for -never returns calls, doesn't finish a job when paid in full -messy shower/caulk work -shower tile was directly placed on drywall -broken shower door/didn't fix or replace -placed shower tile that we didn't even ask for -hired an outside contractor to complete drywall, then asked us for more money (we agreed due to the work being done) -claimed to have his plumping certificate, our shower completely flooded the bathroom where we had to pay for someone else to fix it -we also had to pay for bathroom underlayment and floors twice due to the water damage -custom doors he built has multiple gaps throughout them, made with different size boards, and are all different length -ruined our $2000 bathroom vanity counter by screwing holes in to it without asking for permission Stay far away from this contractor...he will lie to you, take your money without finishing a job, and has no idea what he is doing! Better Business Bureau has similar reviews with this contractor (posted after we hired him).
