We spent a considerable amount of money with this company last fall and we are very unhappy with…read morethe results. The job called for weed removal, mulching, and a native planting over a fairly large area. The job looked okay at completion before winter set in but I was concerned about how sparse the plantings were and this spring we have NOTHING but weeds. Per our contract with this company, they were to weed three times a year for the first two years or until the natives were firmly established. Kenny arrived in May and completed the first weeding, but within two weeks the weeds were thicker than ever. We then contacted a horticulturist to examine the work and we were upset with his findings. The weed remediation was inadequate as well as the number of natives planted. When I reached out to Kenny, he sent me an estimate for additional weeding and the cost to add more plants. Aside from the cost of weeding, the lack of plants should have been covered in our contract and he had no idea how to remedy the weed situation. Then, he just stopped communicating altogether. I would be very cautious to do business with this company.

Butterfield's is usually my go-to flower shop in Farmington. I have had some really great customer…read moreservice moments there, like when I needed some last-minute blooms for my sister's bridal shower and someone there brought me into the flower cooler and we put something very special together. However, this last time I called, I did not get what I ordered and I'm rather disappointed. My sister just landed her first real job and I wanted a small arrangement that included peonies, nothing too. difficult. I was told that they did have some peonies in stock, despite it being just after mother's day, and that they could accommodate my request. I paid about $60 for a 10" tall arrangement, which I felt was fair. Turns out, the arrangement she actually received was almost all carnations and not a single peony, worth maybe like $40 maximum. It was clear, after seeing it myself in person, that this was a pre-made floral arrangement and they did not take my request whatsoever. To make matters worse, they spelled my sister's name wrong. I would sort of expect them to double-check something like that if they don't feel like they heard me correctly. Anyway, I still think they normally provide great customer service, but I was just very disappointed this time and hope they can learn from this mistake. I'd also like to encourage the floral designers at Butterfield's to look at some stylish modern arrangements. The one I got looked like it it was cool in 1995. Not in a good way.
