This guy who has been my gardener for a couple of years, suddenly accused me of not paying him. I…read morepay him by Zelle, and my bank takes 3 business days to pay, every time. I later found out that it was because I don't have a debit card with my bank, only an ATM card. Anyway, basically, if he doesn't get paid that instant, he can't figure out 3 business days later that he indeed got paid. Just this past week, he keeps sending me screenshots of his bank transactions saying he didn't get paid, and he says he doubts that I've ever paid him during past couple of years. I'm like WTF... first of all, it was never an issue for the past couple of years. Why all of a sudden? Second, I told you the Zelle status is indicating that it's pending. Third , here are all these past transactions in my bank account showing the transfers out. Where the f is money going, if you didn't receive it? I confirmed the phone number associated with his Zelle. There is no other logical conclusion than that he's been paid all this time. Here's the kicker. After Zelle confirmed the payment, I asked him to confirm receipt. He says he still didn't get paid and showed me screenshots of the account showing expense transactions only. BUT, the beginning balance was higher than the day before! There were transactions into the account, but he conveniently didn't show what those transactions were to make this ridiculous claim that he didn't get paid. I'm so done with this guy... The actual job he did this far has been ok. A few little things I found annoying. He kept mowing the tops off my lawn sprinklers, so I've had to replace them a few times. No biggie. Less work than mowing the lawn myself. The other thing, he keeps blowing the flipflops I keep in the backyard all over the place when he uses the leaf blower. I'm Asian. We don't wear shoes inside the house. When I want to go outside, I wear those flipflops. Every time Segundo comes around, I open the sliding glass door to the backyard and the flipflops are nowhere to be seen. I have to go out through the front door all the way to the backyard to find them in some corner where he blew them into. Annoying... But, whatever. Overall, I can deal with it. I just got tired of doing my own yardwork. That was until he accused me of not paying him. Ugh... that's it. Don't come around anymore, dude. I'm hiring a different guy who knows how to look up banking transactions. Or, maybe accepts checks. Seriously, I'm so offended after all this time that he thinks I'm defrauding him.

I needed alot of front and backyard work done on a house prior to showing the property for sale,…read moreand after wasting time with several other places that wanted a continuous service or subscription setup, even though it would only be a 1 time event, I found Andrade's Landscaping, and after I provided some pictures of the work I needed done, I was quoted a very good price for: front and back lawn edging and mowing, shrub trimming, weed removal from ground planters all around the house, and weed removal and mulching along a long walkway to the house. On the day of service, the landscaper that arrived was very friendly, professional, and pruned my many rose bushes, sago palms, and removed a huge amount of plant material free of charge (I did not even ask for this additional help, but was very happy to see it done). The final result exceeded my expectations and turned the overgrown front and backyard into a very nice looking property. I will be using Andrade's Landscaping for any and all future similar projects. We discussed him mowing, edging and weed eating each week, and he said he would come out before the first service to make sure the irrigation worked. We hired him and he send an invoice that specified all 5 dates. The problems started right away. The day he was supposed to come to house to check the irrigation he called and said he couldn't make, but that the yard was so nice he didn't feel he needed to now. I figured he was busy and wrote that off as he trusted the yard was good. We paid the invoice in full. While on vacation we didn't get any alerts on our cameras for him showing up the first Thursday. We had to text him from the UK, and he said he would go out the next day, Friday, which he did, but the video showed he didn't mow. He raked, used a weed eater, and blew the yard is all. The next week the same happened. No show Thursday and we had to text. He explained Fridays were better and we said fine, but Friday he didn't show. We texted from abroad again Saturday and he apologized and said he'd be out that day. That personal stuff had come up. But nope. He didn't show. Sunday - 3 days late (2 from the day he said was better) he texted a screenshot of a map saying he was on his way. After over 2 weeks he finally mowed The next Sunday we came home and no word. It appeared he was going to wait 2 weeks again and maybe come that following Friday, but at this point he'd missed every date, changed the schedule, and not performed the duties he'd agreed to. We fired him and, even though the 2 on site visits he didn't actually fulfill his job we asked for a refund. To be fair and easy we asked for only half, not 3 of 5 days, but he has since refused to answer. I sent a message saying that at that point he could keep 2 days but wanted a refund for the 3 he didn't do. Again no answer. I called and he did answer but hung up on me. Jr charged me for 5 days barely did 2, and seems to intend to steal 3 days worth of my money. Money he didn't earn. Do not trust him.

He came by the same day and gave me an estimate to replace my back yard with Marathon Sod. His quote was not the cheapest nor the highest, so I decided to accept his quote. A couple of weeks later, Juan and his crew showed up and removed my existing ugly grass, redid my sprinklers to ensure proper coverage, and installed my new sod. He graded one section to accommodate for a flooding issue I had and installed the sod. It looked beautiful for three weeks until a portion of it started to die. Turns out a part of my back yard behind the garage did not get enough sunlight with the required watering that caused the grass to die. I called Juan to let him know what had happened to the grass, and he came back out to assess the problem. He confirmed the parts that had died were from the suggested watering, but not enough sunlight. Soo he agreed to replace the dead parts of the sod. Took a while because all the rain we had, but he replaced the sod that died and hopefully will survive. Can't say enough about his professionalism and customer care!!! Would highly recommend Juan and Summerset Landscaping.

This review has been long overdo. Eric was an absolute pleasure to work with. Back in June, my…read morefamily was looking to sell our house in Ontario and purchase another one, but if we were going to do that, we would have to drastically change the outside appeal of our front and back yards. We had basically left our plants to die, and everything was in bad shape. I had gotten quotes from a few other companies, and then Eric came through. Not only did he beat the competitors' prices, but he was able to do it in a timely manner. He gave us a timeline, and stuck to that timeline. Not only that, one of his guys was able to do some electrical work for me. As far as the landscaping, Eric knew exactly what we were looking for, as we found him through our realtor. He was able to give us advice as to what would look good to possible buyers and when he was done, the yards looked brand spanking new. Eric was completely professional throughout the process, easy to communicate with, and we absolutely loved the final product. Because of his efforts, we were able to sell our house with no problems at all. We hope to use Eric's services in the future at our new house. I hired Smart Landscaping owned by Eric to install sprinklers in my backyard…read more He started his initial dig to the left (see enclosed photo) where you can see exposed pvc, and worked his way to the right before locating the main line approximately 5-6 feet away. As you can see in the enclosed photo, the area is less than 6x6. The problem from my perspective is that he did not bring any help and became frustrated (lazy also) when he couldn't locate the main line after digging initially for less than 1 hour. Our issue arose when he decided to pass off the extra expense of having a to hire someone with a jackhammer to me, by attempting to amend our initial contract. I refused to allow him to do so, and he simply became upset, condescending and unprofessional in every way imaginable. He then refused to finish the project packed up his things and left with my $400.00 cash down payment. Not only did Eric take my money and not finish the job, but he also left uncapped pvc pipe.....which he did eventually return to complete, but not the open trenches which can be partially seen in the photo. The worst part of this entire experience is that when he did actually return to cap the lines, he brought the actual POLICE to watch. What ever you do don't hire this guy. I didn't realize when I hired Eric that he is not only unprofessional (had to borrow my shovel, does not own a jackhammer and does not have a contractors license), but also lazy and extremely dishonest. You've been warned!!
