Customer service so horrible, I'd think my friends were pranking me if I didn't know better. The girl who answers the phones is an idiot. They no showed me for mower pickup twice, then called another day and asked if they could come that day instead. I said "if you can come RIGHT NOW because you've already cost me 8 hours of work time." She stated they were 8 min away. I called back 50 min later because they weren't there, and she defended herself saying that she was merely stating that their business was located 8 min from my house. I asked to speak to her manager, she said the owner would call, never did. read more

My husband and I bought our riding mower there a few years ago and they were absolutely wonderful. So when it was time for a tune up we called again. They put us on a schedule and said they would call prior to pick up. They wait until they're ready to work on it so you're not without it too long. They called and gave me enough time to cut the grass before picking up the lawn mower then had it back in 5 days. Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I've also bought a couple of fountains from them and stopped to browse other times. They've always been great! Highly recommended. read more

Within the past 7 months I have purchased a new Toro lawn mower and a new Toro snow blower from Lawn Barn. In addition, I had my portable generator serviced there. Nick, the owner, is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. They picked up and returned my generator and lawn mower (which I had tuned up ) and, yes, they charge a fee for that but the fee is fair. Nick is delightful to talk with and, since I find his pricing to be competitive with the big box stores, a pleasure to do business with. Gotta love Nick! read more

I tried calling in to Lawn Barn. Once I finally got someone on the phone, after 2 days of trying, the woman I spoke with was very rude, and pushing me off the phone. This was after saying they are doing their business through the phone. I have heard good things about Lawn Barn, and am very disappointed with the lack of customer service at this establishment. I went into Lawn Barn the day after Christmas to see if they could order a new wheel for my Troy Built mower. Let me first say I had a cold. The gentlemen who was waiting on me said I needed to order the wheel. He passed it on to a women and let me say an idiot. She wouldn't let me look at the picture on the computer cause she didn't want to catch my cold. She didn't even find the part, I think she didn't know how to use the computer. I wasn't touching anything, all I wanted to to do was look at the picture of the Troy Built riding mower, she kept pointing me away and telling me she didn't want to catch my cold. Another gentlemen came and said I could go to Lowe's and buy it. The two Lowe's I went to didn't have the wheel. I contacted Troy Built and ordered it over the phone. So if you need to order from Lawn Barn don't have the blonde women wait on you, clueless. read more

If I could rate lower I would, talking to the guy is very hard as If you are bothering him. He always talks down to you as if you are a small child. The girl there doesn't know anything, you are better off talking to the wall. Their prices are way to expensive and they never have what you need in stock. I went here last saturday to make over a $250 purchase, but decided to go elsewhere. I went there to buy a attachment for my echo weed whacker, it takes various attachments that go on the shaft. I wanted a power pruner with an msrp of $189.99 and a 3ft extension for $39.99. I found the power pruner there with a price of $220 on the tag, the power pruner was also a couple years old, it had been sitting on the shelf. I took it to the register and spoke with a man that I presume was the owner, I told him I'd like to buy the pruner but at the actual msrp, which was $30 cheaper, he started to negotiate with me, ended up offering me to sell it to me at $195. I said no, why should I pay over msrp for the item. His response was that he didn't make that much money on attachments and that was the best deal he would offer me. I said thanks but no thanks, and told him i wanted to buy about $250 this time and another couple hundred in the coming months and asked him why i should over pay for items eachtime i go to his store. I got no answer. Instead I went to lawnbarn in jamison, and had a excellent experience, items were in stock and below msrp, i ended up buying other items as well and spent about $300. read more

It's unfortunate one cannot give a less than zero rating on Yelp. It's amazing how poorly a business can be run and still stay in business! If business owners are so miserable with their existence that they consider customers objects for abuse, then they're in the wrong business; or shouldn't be in business at all. If this is their 'public' persona, imagine how pleasant their 'private' life must be. Blissful, I'm sure. I was calling to ask the price of propane. The man, barked, "$17.??" and started to hang-up. I said, "Wait, I have a question". His response was, "What is it? I have a long line of people here waiting". I asked, "can you fill my RV tanks"? Answer, "No". And the man (certainly, no gentleman) abruptly ended the call, without so much as a 'thank you', or kiss my ass. Obviously, y'all have enough business that you don't need mine (which I wouldn't give you now, anyway!), but imagine how much more business you would have if you stopped treating potential customers the way I was treated this morning. read more

I write this review with regret. Three years ago I bought a mower at the lawn barn. I opted not to go to one of the big box stores and support a smaller dealer both on principle as well as a false belief that if something went wrong there would be representation on my behalf in dealing with the manufacturer. In three years the power train / cruise control broke, and the wheels literally fell off twice. (I did not abuse the machine and I had it serviced in the off season). I don't believe this is the dealers fault. but the machine I bought was a lemon. I will never buy another Toro product. After less than three full cutting seasons the power train went for the second time and the engine seized. Now the machine is in the dumpster. I have no recourse. The sad truth is if you buy from a big box store and it breaks in the warranty period they exchange the product. My experience with the dealer is that the product was patched until it was out of warranty. Then I was stuck holding the bag on a lemon. There was no representation on my behalf with the manufacturer. And I am thoroughly disappointed. The predecessor to my Toro (from the lawn barn) was a craftsman purchased at sears. It lasted ten years. I should have went back there. read more

Iwent there to get my lawnmower tuned up.They said on the phone it would be 65 dollars but when i droped it off they said 65 plus parts,$4 FOR OIL,$3 FOR NEW PLUG,$3 FOR NEW AIR FILTER and $30 dollars down before they worked on it.They called the next day and said the crank shaft and the blade was bent.I pickup the mower the next day and they kept my $30 even though they did no work on the lawn mower.They are money hungry and I would never go back there again. read more

I called this pathetic place about a part for my pressure washer and gave the moron lady the engine model. She said she needs the engine serial number which I didn't have, I called 13 other places and told them the engine model and they said hold on I'll check, unfortunately nobody had it in stock. I went to this pathetic excuse of a business and gave the moron the engine serial number and she walks in the back and comes out with 5 different parts and matches it up( why would you need an engine serial number to do that?) Oh right she's a complete moron). So they have the part and I asked for the part number and the idiot covered it up and asked why I wanted it, I said so I can make sure it's the right one she refused to give it to me so I simply typed in the part I needed for my engine into my phone and said it should be this part number and she said yes it is do you want it or not, you're wasting my time. I've dealt with the old guy there a few times he was nice and helpful. Despite the price being 20.00 more then other places I would've bought it because I needed it, however that miserable ***** lost the sale.
