I watched and Randy did a great job sharpening the blades, doing the oil changes and generally fixing and cleaning both mowers. Now they are clean inside and underneath. He gave me pointers on how just washing and putting mowers away may leave stuff clumped and not cleaned out. The fee was very reasonable for all the work. I like not having to take my rider out to a shop. All was done on my driveway. He has all the tools. He didn't grease the front end. The mowers are now in running shape. Quicker than taking out. And I got some tips.

I try to support local small businesses when I can and I gave this kid a LOT of grace. While he had my equipment he moved locations. After a couple of moths of contacting him several times, I finally went to get my equipment. The generator was in pieces, the lawn vac was never worked on (and the bag was lost in the storage/move), and my mower was given to a different customer even though I had the numbered service tag ticket stub. His suggestion to resolve the issue was "I guess you'll have to take me to court"! I stand firmly on this review and suggest that NO ONE DO BUSINESS WITH HIM.

Chief to the Rescue!…read more While our former lawn service had started out very good, the last few months they had become a disappointment. Trimming and clean up had become nonexistent and their mower tire tracks were cutting deeply into the turf of our front yard. Communication between us became nonexistent. Sad Running through Yelp we found Chief. Their response to our query came almost immediately! Within an hour a representative was here discuss our needs. I could see that Their equipment was we'll maintained and transported in a covered trailer. Our discussions were respectful and meaningful. The bid was reasonable and fair to both parties. Scheduling went smoothly, and they followed up after each cut Communication flowed quickly and clearly. To say we are satisfied would be an understatement! I highly recommend them without reservation.

I found Randy's Lakeview Nursery and Stone in Lee's Summit. It's a beautiful facility near Lake Jacomo, It is a brown wooden barn and cute. They also have a plant area and beautiful metal work. Landscaping rocks are their specialty. They also deliver locally, which is good to know, not many places do. There's no where in Independence that does this sort of service and have landscaping rocks available. I selected Missouri River Pebbles and will return when I need more.

It Is What It Is Did…read moreyou ever wonder when it became not unusual to find hand tools and lawn chairs in your local grocery store? Well, Tractor Supply is a hardware and a store for folks who work outside. That's it, it is not trying to be anything else. When you need just 3 lock washers, and not a prepackaged assortment on a sealed package of 12 lock washers, Tractor Supply is there for you. Or maybe you need PVC pipe, or a stock tank, animal feed, coveralls, a lawn mower, or affordable hand tools, they are there for you. It is kind of like what hardware stores used to be - before they became "home centers." Looking closely, you might notice that while there might not be a large selection of brands, there is a great selection of useful hardware items. And those items are usually good quality and at a reasonable price. I have always been greeted at the door, and if I appeared lost someone would come to my aid. Being less than a half mile from my home I have come to think of it as my other work shop when I need that one item to finish a project. While you might not be able to order a full kitchen remodel, you will easily find the faucet washer you need to stop that leaking faucet in your current kitchen. So do not think of it as some kind of farm store, think of it as your savior when your tool box does not contain the specific piece of hardware that it hold you up. Most any home owner or shade tree mechanic should have Tractor Supply loaded in their GPS.
