I watched and Randy did a great job sharpening the blades, doing the oil changes and generally fixing and cleaning both mowers. Now they are clean inside and underneath. He gave me pointers on how just washing and putting mowers away may leave stuff clumped and not cleaned out. The fee was very reasonable for all the work. I like not having to take my rider out to a shop. All was done on my driveway. He has all the tools. He didn't grease the front end. The mowers are now in running shape. Quicker than taking out. Trimming and clean up had become nonexistent and their mower tire tracks were cutting deeply into the turf of our front yard. Communication between us became nonexistent. Sad Running through Yelp we found Chief. Their response to our query came almost immediately! Within an hour a representative was here discuss our needs. I could see that Their equipment was we'll maintained and transported in a covered trailer. Our discussions were respectful and meaningful. The bid was reasonable and fair to both parties. In the back there's piles of different rocks, different sizes. They allowed me to hand pick what I needed, and I paid for it at the cash register. They also have a plant area and beautiful metal work. Landscaping rocks are their specialty. They also deliver locally, which is good to know, not many places do. There's no where in Independence that does this sort of service and have landscaping rocks available. I selected Missouri River Pebbles and will return when I need more.

Or maybe you need PVC pipe, or a stock tank, animal feed, coveralls, a lawn mower, or affordable hand tools, they are there for you. It is kind of like what hardware stores used to be - before they became "home centers." Looking closely, you might notice that while there might not be a large selection of brands, there is a great selection of useful hardware items. And those items are usually good quality and at a reasonable price. I have always been greeted at the door, and if I appeared lost someone would come to my aid. Being less than a half mile from my home I have come to think of it as my other work shop when I need that one item to finish a project. While you might not be able to order a full kitchen remodel, you will easily find the faucet washer you need to stop that leaking faucet in your current kitchen. So do not think of it as some kind of farm store, think of it as your savior when your tool box does not contain the specific piece of hardware that it hold you up.
