I watched and Randy did a great job sharpening the blades, doing the oil changes and generally fixing and cleaning both mowers. Now they are clean inside and underneath. He gave me pointers on how just washing and putting mowers away may leave stuff clumped and not cleaned out. The fee was very reasonable for all the work. I like not having to take my rider out to a shop. All was done on my driveway. He has all the tools. He didn't grease the front end. The mowers are now in running shape. Quicker than taking out. My most recent purchase was a small Kubota tractor bought from an individual. Their service personnel have been generous regarding information regarding adjustments and maintenance items I perform on my own. I plan on taking my newest tractor to Louisburg within a few weeks to have it checked out before I begin using it in earnest. I feel that everyone I have spoken to at Romans truly cares about me getting the best I can from my equipment. My brother also purchases all of his parts from the same location, driving from the Merriam/Shawnee/Overland Park area for parts for the tractors he uses within his own company in lieu of using the Kubota dealers closer to us. I truly believe they all are well versed with Kubota products both current and older.

They lied to me, trying to charge me $170 to replace the carburetor. I said, "Why don't you clean it?" They said it was too damaged. So I took it to Don. Don is the best and most reasonable repairman in the Kansas City area, and most likely in the world, too.

The circumstances of purchase and warranty were not questioned when I dropped the unit off. However, after two months and multiple follow up visits because they would not answer their phone so I could check status, I was finally called and told that the unit was ready for pick up. Upon arrival I was informed that there would be a charge of $174 dollars for what was supposed to be a routine warranty carburetor replacement authorized by Ryobi, yet I was told that my apparent lack of maintenance on the unit was the root cause for the problem of it not running properly. When I disputed this claim and noted that at no time was I notified that this was an out of warranty or unqualified service that would result in a charge I was treated rudely to the point of abusive language and told to leave the premises with my equipment and to not come back. Needless to say under the circumstances, I did just that. I fully suspect that they were trying to get service revenue out of me, but at the same time they were going to file warranty claim paperwork with Ryobi and essentially double dip, although that was not substantiated in any way.
