So instead of fitting my dog in since it was their mistake, they pushed my appointment. Thank goodness there was a cancellation a week later... Well that didn't go as planned either. My dog is not use to belong locked in a room with 20 other dogs jumping and barking so she was out of her comfort zone and probably terrified considering it was her first groom. so needless to say she did not respond well when a guy walked in to grab her. Well before I even pulled into my driveway which was less than 10 minutes away they called and said they won't groom her because she TRIED to bite their groomer. She's NEVER tried to bite anyone before so something wasn't right. Here's the deal, as groomers you should know how to ease up to a dog who is scared but instead of trying they just gave up. I ended up going to Pet Sense to get my dog groomed and they said she was as sweet as can be and was even snuggling with them. So is it my dog or is it the people at Paradise grooming?

Then we get a call this morning, day of drop off, that says he needs to have Boarding Shots. Obviously, now we're in a panic because we're leaving town tomorrow (early). So, we've called every Vet we've found on Google, and surprise, nobody has any openings for shots until mid-December. I've reluctantly used them in the past because they are cheap. Beware... you get what you pay for. Their service is anything but friendly. The last time I went to pick up my dog, I rang the bell several times and waited in the lobby for 20 minutes before somebody came to ask if they could help. In this instance, we're asking friends if they can watch our dog for the weekend. Otherwise, we get to tell our kids that we won't be taking our little trip as planned. That should be fun to explain to our 4 year old (who LOVES hotels).

I dropped my dogs off inside her grooming area, 15 minutes later I received a call telling me my dog was running on highway 98. She had the nerve to claim that this dog who stands less than 1 foot tall on all fours managed to open a storm door with push button function, an exterior door with turn knob, and a privacy fence latch that sits eye level to me at 5 foot eight inches tall and let himself off her property. Although Aussies are very intelligent animals none of this possible. He was thankfully found after hours of searching, covered in burrs ,soaking wet, with bloody paws and legs, he was terrified, the pads of his feet were so torn up he wouldn't walk on them for days. Please care enough for your animals to find a groomer that will show the same level of care for your pets that you would. This groomer is not that person.

She does well with fur babies with special needs which a few of our dogs were before they passed. Colleen does well with dogs that are easily stressed that may not have fun at a groomer. She always makes them a personalized bandanna and takes very good care of them. My dog used to be very scared of going to the groomer, but with Margarete he is always very happy to see her. I'm feeling neutral to suspicious about this place…read more Now we take Wesley here each month to get groomed. They do a beautiful job at that. No problems. Wesley seems happy when we pick him up. My problem is we started to use them for his shots. It only made sense to us since they had to call his previous vet to get his medical history. But when we took him in, they did not want us to come back and be with him while he was getting his shots. Now this seems odd to me since with all my other animals and vets, we were always allowed to go back with them. Never has a vet refused to allow us back so we could comfort the animal during that stressful time. Something seems off about this. I think while I'll continue to get him groomed there, I'll take him back to his previous vet for his shots.
