This summer, my daughter was house-sitting in the Westminster area through her Rover business, and while I was staying with her for a couple of nights, we both needed haircuts. Since I used to live in the Boulder/Broomfield/Westminster area, I knew there were some really talented hair professionals there, so I decided to look for a salon close to where my daughter was house-sitting.
That's how I found Lavish Vibe Studio.
At the time, I fully expected this to be a one-off haircut. We had moved to Northern Colorado the previous summer, and I had been struggling to find someone who could cut my hair, and my daughter's hair, the way we actually like it and not charge $90. Finding the right stylist for women's hair can be surprisingly difficult, and I had been through enough hit-or-miss experiences that I was honestly getting tired of looking. I was over the price gounging at salons.
Then we met Arely.
Arely is fantastic. She trained at Paul Mitchell, and you can absolutely tell that she knows her craft. One of the things I appreciate most is that she can take an inspiration photo and actually translate it into something that works beautifully with your own hair. She doesn't just give you a generic version of the picture, you can tell she understands the technique and knows how to make the inspiration become reality.
She did an amazing job on both my hair and my daughter's hair.
Because my daughter was house-sitting for three weeks, I decided to come back and stay another night with her and booked a color appointment with Arely about a week later. Again, she did not disappoint. I absolutely love the way my color turned out. She did an incredible job, and the whole experience was enjoyable. Arely is personable, warm, and genuinely lovely to talk to while you're sitting in the chair. She has created such a nice, welcoming vibe in her studio.
We loved her so much that we decided she was worth the drive from Northern Colorado back to Westminster. We returned in early September, and at that point I knew: we had found our stylist.
I'm done looking.
And honestly, the pricing is another huge reason I'll continue going to Lavish Vibe Studio. Her haircuts are $60, and my color appointment was just under $200. Considering her training, skill, attention to detail, and the results, I think that is an incredible value.
I've found that hair services in both Northern Colorado and the Boulder/Louisville area can get extremely expensive--$90 or more for a haircut and $400+ for color is not unusual. And unfortunately, paying more doesn't necessarily mean getting a better haircut or better color.
Arely gives you professional-level skill without the ridiculous price tag.
That combination is hard to find.
So yes, I will absolutely make the drive to Westminster for her. In fact, she mentioned that she may eventually be doing one day a week in Longmont, which would be even closer to us and I would be thrilled about that.
If you're looking for someone who really knows hair, listens to what you want, can turn an inspiration photo into reality, and doesn't charge outrageous prices, I highly recommend Arely at Lavish Vibe Studio.
