My first set

I'm leaving five stars because I was a long time patron of this establishment and overall was very happy with the services I was receiving. I would get my eyebrows threaded every two weeks - rarely was there ever a wait. I ventured out to start getting eyelash extensions. It was very spur of the moment and I'm not very knowledgeable about it, but I was able to walk in and get that service for the first time. I made sure to book an appointment and continue to get my eyelash extensions for a little under three months from the same tech. After a while, eyelash extensions started to become irritating - I'm not sure if it's because I was getting a fill and they were too heavy or what it could've been. Out of the total of maybe six appointments I had over the span of time I felt rushed through a few of them, and I noticed that the aftermath of those appointments were the ones where I had the most discomfort. The eyelash extensions were falling out some even just a couple of days to a week after getting them filled. I could tell that it was too heavy as when I brushed my eyelashes out. It hurt as if it was pulling on my natural lash. There were bunches, not clusters, lashes, all stuck on one lash which caused them to tangle and pull and causes irritation. I'm writing this review now as I've gone to find an eyelash extension specialist and can compare the work of someone who is well-versed in this service versus the service I received at lavish. With the knowledge I have now I can say I do not recommend them for individual eyelash extensions but their facial services and eyebrow threading services I can recommend.

Eyelid cuts from threading

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded monthly for more than 10 years. I moved and unfortunately discovered Lavish on 280. I literally have never experienced so much pain!! I have CUTS on my eyelids from where my skin was threaded???? Like actual cuts!! Needless to say, I won't be back and you should beware.

Yea!!! This place is finally open! They are owned and operated by the same folks that have the Lush Threading Spa near the Galleria, but this one is so much closer for me (and other ladies in Bham, probably). The spa is nicely decorated and everything still has a new feel. The ladies are very friendly and also very sanitary - a plus when dealing with my skin! I hesitated writing this review because now folks will know just how awesome this place is! ;)

I randomly found this place and I'm very happy that I did. First and foremost, Salima is so nice!…read more I went in for a wax and she ended up doing my eyebrows too. Let me just say I was a little bit worried as I have never done my eyebrows professionally before (should I have admitted that? *sweat*). It's just that I don't really have that much eyebrow to begin with and I've always been afraid that professionals would take too much or make me look crazy lol. However, Salima calmed my fears and simply shaped my eyebrows for me. Nothing crazy or dramatic, and they definitely look neater now. I guess there is a reason why you go to the professionals lol! As for the wax, Salima did an excellent job there as well. I arrived for my appointment and there was no wait. Not even 10 minutes later, I was done. She recommended the chocolate wax, which I have never heard of before. It smells fantastic!! The only problem is that now I crave chocolate, haha. The Look is pretty new and they are still working on getting their signage out front, so you could potentially miss it if you are not looking for it. If you are facing Publix from the street, they are on the left side of the building. You should definitely check it out before it becomes well known and get busy. I am bringing my SO back for some eyebrow shaping this week even though he doesn't know it yet!

This place is horrible! I went in to get my eyebrows waxed, and she kept insisting on getting them…read morethreaded. I told her no. She talked me into getting a Brazilian wax. BIG mistake! It was my first time! I left there in so much pain (which I knew some pain was to be expected) and when I got home, I found quite of bit of hairs she missed! And, the worst part of it all, she ripped the wax strip so hard down in my Southern region, it tore off a small piece of my skin. I was bleeding! I had to call another wax shop for advice on how to treat this, and how to get this "fixed". It was a rushed job, and I'll never be back! Oh, and she didn't even care to take care of your backside, which is part of a Brazilian. And, when she got finished, she handed me a baby wipe and said, "Here, clean yourself up". Now, I'll be going to a more reputable wax center and paying them to fix her disaster, but it's worth it! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID! You get what you pay for!
