When I decided to get blonde highlights I walked into the Santa Cruz location and when I saw Stephanie I knew I wanted her to be my stylist. I know that sounds weird but I've always looked at a stylists hair before choosing someone. It was the best decision and for the last 2-3 years I had been getting my hair done by Stephanie until she moved. I change my hair often and she always listened to what I wanted every single time. She also gave me the best haircuts as I received MANY compliments. I always left the salon feeling like a million bucks, yet Stephanie's prices are great and fit my budget. Once you get your hair done by Stephanie, I know you will continue going to her. I would be if she were still in my area!! I'd like to add that Stephanie is very professional and personable. I do not know what is going on with this salon, but from the reviews it seems it has changed owners a couple of times. I made an appointment through Morgan the new owner to see stylist Kaylie for their required consultation prior to having a service appointment. Four days prior to this appointment, I immediately notified Morgan through her message app (which by the way has a grammer error) that I had to cancel due to a work related schedule change. I asked Morgan two questions. One do you use the Redkin color line? Or what is your current color line? And do you have some place to direct me to see current portfolio pictures of Kaylie's work? I only see on YELP pictures advertising Stephanie's work, and she is no longer there. Not all stylist's artist abilities are the same when it comes to doing ice blond high / low light coloring. Morgan keep sending reminder notices for my approaching appointment, so I politely sent her another notice again letting her know I had to unfortunately cancel. I few days later I got a curt response telling me Kaylie is going out on maternity leave and she has no openings. After three emails Morgan never answered my other questions. If you want people to respect you and your business than you have to be respectful back. Our time is just as valuable as your time. If you are asking people to spend hundreds of dollars at your salon for services than you have to be able to show current portfolio pictures of your work not other people's work. The treatment I recieved left me feeling that because I wasn't someone they could immediately make money off of I now was not even worthy to respond back too. I made an appt. with Lavish studio and my appt. was to be on Dec 28th for highlights. I specifically told Morgan I did not want a hair cut just highlights. I went into my appt. the day and time I was suppose to driving up from Winchester Bay. I got there and the young woman ask me how I would like my hair. I told her and she said to me. OH I have you down for getting a hair cut and so I can't do your hair today because I don't have time. So I had to drive all the way back to Winchester Day. My time is precious to me as I am very busy. I would of taken care of other things needed to get done that day if I had know they were not going to be doing my hair. Not to mention the gas it cost me to drive down there. The hairdresser didn't even offer to reschedule me. I was very disappointed. They need to get their crap together. read more

I've been going to Lei Shea for almost a year now. Karley does my hair and she is a color genius! I came here first on a recommendation from a friend, and I didn't do color for the first few visits. I loved my cut and decided I wanted to take the plunge to do something very different. My hair is naturally a deep brown and Karley got me to a beautiful platinum blonde! Ashley is by far the best hair stylist I have ever had! She worked hard to make sure I absolutely loved my hair and did an amazing job! I was trying out some slightly extreme slanted bangs and was really nervous about it, she cut it exactly how I asked and after my heart dropped I was worried I picked the wrong hairstyle for myself. Well after going home and being really unsure about it I let her know and she had me come back in to change it up the next day, the adjustments she made were absolutely perfect and left me thrilled with my choice, she also did these touch ups for free which just made the whole thing better! read more

If I had the option to give zero stars, I would. I got my service done, my hair cut looked like my one year old took scissors to my hair in my sleep. My color the blonde is blotchy and yellow. My darker underneath isn't even. And I'm very unhappy with my service from start to end. I'm glad I found one of the old employees to fix my hair. This isn't my first visit there, and other times the owner brings her kids and yells at her kids in front of everyone. How unprofessional. read more

I will start off by saying that the haircut they gave me was great; I had no issues with that. However, when I went in to chop off 14 inches to donate to Pantene for people battling cancer I was told I could sell it to a beauty school for $200-300. My fiancé and I have a one year old daughter and the money would have been useful so I selfishly accepted the offer to sell my hair through them, instead. Before I left I gave them my phone number, my address and my email to contact me. After two months of hearing nothing I called them and they told me they haven't sent it out because they could only offer $200-300 worth of hair products, not actual money... I just chopped all my hair off; what would I do with that much hair product? Now the hair was useless to the cancer donation place because they give you five days to mail it off; it cannot sit around for two months and then be processed. It has now been almost two additional months (nearly four months since having my haircut) and I still have not heard from them about my 'wonderful hair products'. At this point, I don't care about the hair products I just feel terrible that I hadn't donated it in the first place and now I am without the incentive that deterred me from it. The bottom line is that they are good at cutting hair, something that is important; however, the way they conduct their business is not great at all, something that is necessary for a privately owned, local business. read more

I wish I could give more stars but if it was just for my hair stylist herself it would be more. I continue to return because of the great color and cut I receive. The prices are very reasonable! This salon is tucked away on a quiet street down town. The stars is for negative atmosphere as there is none. The salon is very cold feeling in greys and black and an attempt of 1950, 60 nestalgia falls flat. The lighting is horrid looking exposed energy saving bulbs. No music. No coffee or water set out. The feeling of being welcomed with any hospitality again falls short. The employees talk excessively between each other which can be personal and a bit intrusive especially when your trying to make time go by by reading . The hairdressers diffently use freedom of hair expression which is neither here nor there. I do continue to return as Ashley gives a great hair cut and she has my hair color down perfect which is the only reason I return and drive from the north end of Loveland. This salon has great great hair service just dont expect the soft salon look. Karley has responded to my review. If there is music or a coffee bar neither is available. Perhaps afternoon appointments gets these pleasantries. I think Karley needs to visit other salons for decor that is soothing and update not comparing to Great Clips or cost Cutters. But freedom of choice and speech is what these teviews are about. Just dont miss out the great stylist here as they are rare. I will update my review if my next visit sees things different :) SEPT 10TH, my upcoming appt was tomorrow a.m. A few minutes ago I received a text from Ashley canning me as a client over the above review.
