I have used the European Wax Center many times to get my eyebrows done. My last visit was a…read moredisaster. I walked out with only half an eyebrow on one side! My brows are quite light, but now I am missing half an eyebrow on one side and looked ridiculous. I called and spoke to the receptionist as soon as I got home when I realized what I looked like. She was apologetic and offered me points for a free wax! It will be months if ever that I have enough hairs to even wax and would be hesitant to go back again. I get my brows done to make my life easier. Now I am forced to search for products to help fill in the missing hairs and can't go out without spending extra time to make myself presentable! Ughhh I just received a phone call from Kim, the manager, at European Wax regarding my experience a few days ago. She could not have been more understanding and concerned regarding my complaint and offered to make it right as best that she could. I truly appreciate the phone call and the manner in which my complaint was handled. Things happen and it will be a while before my eyebrow hairs grow back, but I appreciate the fact that she reached out to me.

To start, they took me 15 minutes late. I had a reservation for 5:00 PM. Not only was I on time for my reservation, but I was early. They did not take me until about 5:17. MEANWHILE their "late policy" is if you are 9 minutes late, you'll be marked as a "no show." Okay. Well what about if THEY are late taking you for a scheduled reservation? My wax technician was not as friendly as other wax technicians I've encountered over the last 10 years or so. I also felt a bit rushed when I was finally taken. I would not visit this location again. After hearing about my dissatisfaction, the manager kindly got back to me and offered to get my…read morehair redone. I was kind of hesitant to go back since I was worried that (1) they would make it worse instead of better, which I have heard horror stories about other hair places and (2) that I might be met with a cold attitude because of an honest review. I am happy to say that those worries were completely unnecessary. I was greeted with a smile at the door despite being 15 minutes late because of getting out of work late. Palma did my hair this time. She explained why certain colors may not work with my hair, even if they might have in the past. She showed me some swatches of colors so that we were both on the same page. She told me what she would try to do and what she could work with at this point. The whole process (more lightening, adding color, etc) took over 4 hours. It felt like it went by fairly quickly because Palma was very friendly and easy to talk to. I believe she was supposed to have left at 6, but my appointment went on until well after 7. Despite that, I didn't feel rushed at all. Palma made sure that I was comfortable and kept checking on me while I was waiting for the processes to finish. She offered to trim the ends of my hair after because of what lightening hair does, but I think we both forgot about it since we finished pretty late. I was just happy for her to offer and I love my purple hair! (Palma wanted to be sure how I felt about it too and told me to be honest. I honestly love it.) I'm probably going to let my hair heal for a bit or maybe let it go blonde for a while. Posh uses Aveda products, but I'm thinking of exploring other brands for coloring. If something else works better for coloring, then I'd come back for a cut or to get my brows done. They have tons of great brow reviews, so there's probably a reason for that.
