I've been visiting Wax Republic for the past few years since I moved to the area for services including eyebrow shaping, spray tanning, and waxing. I have had nothing but amazing experiences at each of these visits - from the extremely friendly and welcoming woman Caterina at the front desk, the beautiful decor of the salon, and the amazingly talented and professional aestheticians (Ally, Kristin, and Lisa). Wax Republic has been my go to wax place since they opened over 10 years ago. The best wax experience I have had!

I had the opportunity to get my lashes lifted and tinted by Ally. My experience was amazing from the moment I walked in. The salon is welcoming and so inviting. Ally was professional, kind, and explained the whole process to me so I knew what to expect. She made sure I was comfortable while I was laying there. I was so happy with the final outcome! I will definitely be returning. I even had an opportunity to meet the owner, Lisa, on my way out - she was so sweet and welcoming. I highly recommend this salon & Ally!! read more

I moved out to Suffolk a couple of years ago and have been trying to find a place to get my eyebrows done the right way, and I heard all about Wax Republic and found some great reviews on it and tried it today for the first time. It definitely met and went above and beyond my expectation. The owner Lisa worked with me, took her time with me and really made me feel comfortable and I am very happy with how it all turned out. I highly recommend Wax Republic!! read more

I've been coming here for years. Kristen and Allie have been doing my brows, lashes and makeup for a long time. It's always perfect.

Ally was great, last lift and tint. Listened to what I wanted (dramatic curl over more natural) and sensed that the very pregnant lady needed Air Conditioning ASAP. Really clean and personable staff. read more

Ally did such a phenomenal job shaping my brows and brought them back to life. She takes her time, and ensures that before you go you're satisfied with your service. Ally is also SO sweet and accommodating. read more

"HOLY AMAZING!" I went to Wax Republic in Huntington for my lash extensions and they were done by Ally, it was so relaxing, and everyone there is so nice. Ally is a great Lash Extension Technician - A true perfectionist at what she does. I have no tenderness or problems with the extensions as my lashes grow out. "LOVE HAVING THESE LASHES!" No mascara necessary, wake up and hit the ground running thanks to Ally. If you are looking for beautiful lash extensions, look no further than Ally at Wax Republic in Huntington. read more

Honestly my favorite place for a Brazilian wax. They're incredible, I barely feel any pain! Highly recommend coming here

I discovered this gem upon moving to the area about two years ago. Everyone here is exceptionally kind and caring and they always make you feel welcomed. I've been going to Kristen for all of my services and she SLAYS every time! I've gotten a regular brow waxing, brow boost, and lash lift and tint and I was extremely satisfied with each service. I definitely recommend Kristen if you're looking for someone's who's caring, gentle, gets to know you, and perfects your brows each and every time. read more

I have loved this place since it first opened in Huntington! I had been away due to COVID and returning last week, for a service I had paid then; it was reinstated without hesitation by no other, but the Owner: The loveliest, Lisa Lazzara!. I have had the pleasure of always been cared for; by superb, competent, caring, loving and beautiful ladies; whose only mission is to make me feel like I truly mattered when I'm in their presence! Thank you Lisa, Lola and Nadia for your love and dedication to your Craft!. Awesome Company!. A magnificent Jewel in The Huntington Village! read more

Wax Republic is my go to for all things wax and tan! Nadia is the best for Brazilians and spray tans! I never have had an orange or streaky spray tan look which is my biggest fear. I leave feeling like I got a natural tan and feel flawless! read more

I absolutely love everyone that works here! They give the most superb waxes and are so friendly and personable. I've gotten nearly everything above the neck and below the waist waxed and I'm always impressed by their technique to make it as painless as possible. The owner Lisa is so sweet and Lola is also absolutely wonderful - really anyone that works here is a delight. They take their time with their waxes and they never try to rush you out or be pushy. I recommend this place to all of my friends and I recommend it to anyone new in the area! read more

I am sad to write a bad review because they were nice but my results were not good. I went there first time to do a brazillian and a leg wax. I waited over 3 wks to not shave. Starting at the bikini area hurt a lot.. but i anticipated this. I wish she wouldve held skin back when pulling off because i felt that maybe the technique was not ripped at the root correctly. I normally shave once a wk, maybeeee twice if its summer time. I just got my wax yesterday and already a day later i am feeling stubble everywhere!!!! So annoyed as obviously it wasnt done right. My leg hair length was told it was good and long enough as it was way over that grain of rice length that they all ask for, so i knew legs were good for it. But now EVERY spot on my legs have stubble!!! Even shaving lasted longer!! So my guess is because she didnt hold skin back tight or maybe her technique how she pulled fabric gauze off, she ripped it at the skin level because it sure as heck didnt remove at my root. Ergo, my stubble now day later. Also my bikini area she said some areas hair were not long enough. So she took little money off at the end for that area. I dont know why it wasnt long enough because it was longer then rice length for sure .. but ok so now the bikini area i have spots of hair that i will have to shave. But the areas she did pull out, it is also now stubbling just like my legs. I was so disappointed after going home and after speaking to a few friends who had this done they expressed the difference with their places. So sadly even tho the place was cute and people were nice, that is NOT enough for me to go back. If you say oh hair wasnt long in one spot, but it was perfectly long in others that came out. Ok but now ALL spots have stubble one day later. Even the hair that was pulled out. Im disappointed because im going away and now i will have to shave. There are areas that were missed and i can see the hairs broke at the skin surface nevermind feel it. Sorry this was not worth the money for it not to be smooth just oneeeee day later. Next time i will try another place or maybe try a laser hair removal center. read more

LISAAAAA IS AMAZING! (Went to Roslyn Location) Ok quick recap! Shaving armpits and legs became painful with shaving, so I figured I'd try the waxing route. I had never waxed either, so naturally I was nervous, hesitant and had a ton of questions. Lisa answered every question I had from wax to upkeep etc. she also had the amazing ability to chat it up with me to distract me while the pull happened. Not only did she do a great job in her craft, she is bubbly and sweet- and was so incredibly welcoming. She got herself a life long customer on the first shot! read more

The BEST (and only) place I go to in town. After years of not knowing what good products were and how they can reduce pain and irritation during AND after the right eyebrow waxing, I found Lisa & her team at Wax republic to be THE EXPERTS! Sure if you don't mind burning your eyelids, walking around looking surprised for weeks or just simply having two differently shaped eye brows, go to any ole nail salon. But TRUST ME, you should really go here. (This review written by a Male) so for other guys reading, they won't make you look feminine, just clean you up and have you out the door looking good. read more

I travel 1 hour plus from the Rockaways to have my eyebrows and eyelashes groomed at Wax Republic! They are excellent at what they do and they are also soooo very welcoming. Customer service is 10 stars! They are nestled in the cute little town with a great coffee shop right next door. There is also plenty of parking around on the streets. I have had my share of both good and bad experiences in the hair removal/grooming space so I definitely know the difference. Look no further if you are trying to find a new home for your eyebrows and lashes! read more

This is my first ever review and it's years overdue but SO well deserved. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. I've been getting waxed for 15+ years and feels like I've tried everywhere... Wax Republic is hands down the absolute best. The salon is super clean, calm, and the girls do the best job making it as comfortable as possible. They've nailed down the process to be as in and out and (most importantly) painless as it can get. I'm always shocked by how quick and efficient they are. I've since moved out of Huntington and refuse to get waxed anywhere else because nothing else compares! Lisa and Lola are both incredible. I'd give 10 stars if I could :) thank you guys! read more

I've been going to Wax Republic for almost two years now for lash lifts and waxing and I can honestly say I don't think I'll ever find a better salon for the rest of my life! The waxing is not painful and Lisa is amazing at making you feel comfortable during the whole process. With respect to lash lifts, Kristen is absolutely unbelievable at what she does. I've been other places for lash lifts and I've never ever had the results I do now until Kristen had a chance to work on my unruly lashes. She cares so much about her clients and their results and has never let me down! I will be a faithful client for years and years to come. read more

Let me start by saying. It's been over a year since I had a wax. After having a baby every part of my body was so sensitive so I was scared. I saw this place on groupon and after reading reviews on Yelp! I figured let me give it a try. I called to make an appointment and all my questions was answered. When I walked in I had to fill out a little questionnaire and had a warm welcome from Jenna she is also the one that did my wax. I explained to her that I was scared cause it's been so long but she took the time to work with me. She was great. I love the wax that they use and I love the combination of oils. I must admit it was a painless experience. I prob anticipated more pain then it really was. Lol I think this is my new wax place that I will be sticking with. Groupon or not. Also no reactions at all and no ingrown hairs. It so clean that's it's remarkable lol. read more
