Fairly disappointing experience…read more First: the lash techs themselves (Alyssa, Sheena) were great, on time, helpful and 100% professional. However, this location is nestled in a higher-end shopping area and I noticed their prices are a bit higher than other lash studios in this part of the city. I was happy to pay with the assumption I would receive a higher quality of service. Unfortunately their prices did not align with the level of customer service I experienced. I visited this location for my first ever set of professional lash extensions as a special gift for myself but I started experiencing irritation and premature shedding within a few days. As requested in their client agreement, I contacted them right away to get their recommendation on next steps: figure out what the issue was, to go back in for a fix, get an emergency removal, or whatever they would have recommended. I understand how each person responds to lash extensions and the adhesives can vary from person to person based on their routines, what other skin products they use, how closely they follow aftercare instructions, etc... I would have been happy to continue with Deka Lash to keep exploring what worked best for me. However, after 2 detailed emails I sent directly to the company, 6 phone calls ending with their call center associates escalating my concerns to management on my behalf over 5 days (including 3 business days), I did not receive any response from the company. Even a response of "The owner's busy or out of office and won't be able to respond until X date" or "No sorry we can't help you because..." would have been sufficient. However, I did not receive any acknowledgement that anyone from the company above the call center associates even knew of my concerns. I ultimately booked a 2nd appointment myself and paid 100% full price for a consultation/fill 10 days after my initial appointment to get prompt attention to the concerns I shared with their studio 5 days earlier. I'd lost almost all of my lash extensions by this time. This was also frustrating as I was told "You booked the appointment - now you have to pay because you didn't wait for management's approval to waive or reduce the cost." However, I only booked the appointment *because* I didn't receive a response from management. From my perspective, potential risk to natural lashes or a potential adverse reaction to the extensions is a time-sensitive concern. I also thought, "Surely, they'll respond by the time this appointment comes up to work this out and I'll already have time on the schedule for next steps." Unfortunately, they did not. In retrospect, if I knew the company's response to my concerns would be so poor, I wouldn't have bothered trying to work with them to resolve the issue and I would have moved on to another studio immediately. As this was my experience as a first-time client with this studio, I will not be returning and would not recommend this studio to others.

I visited the Lyndhurst location and everything went well until it was time to checkout. Their…read moresystem didn't have my refill credit on file and said I had a balance due. I tried informing the tech of the discrepancy but she didn't believe, didn't check with corporate and threatened to call the police on me instead of verifying my claim. I had to call corporate myself and put corporate on speaker to confirm with Deka that I wasn't a thief. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. If she put a little effort to call corporate herself she would have saved her and myself the embarrassment. Threatening and weaponizing using the police on a paying customer is extremely dangerous and uncalled for especially when I had a proven credit with Deka. Will never visit this business again and pray you bring proof of purchase if you do.

I LOVE coming to The Be Spa and getting services with Brea, the owner. The spa itself is very cute…read moreand relaxing. It's bright and airy and has a lot of natural colors and natural light. They did a great job with the decor in the lobby and in the spa rooms. The spa is on the second floor of the building and I believe that there is a med spa underneath. The location is right on Mayfield, whis is a pretty busy street, so pulling in and out can be a little tricky as you may have to wait a bit, but parking is easy. Brea is super knowledgeable about skin and skin care products and has really empowered me to be more serious about how I take care of my face. During my initial consultation we talked about my skin and my cleansing routine and she determined what type of facial would be best for me. Throughout the entire facial she talked to me about the products that she was using and answered every question I had about how to achieve a naturally clear and glowy complexion. I was truly impressed by how much information she was able to share with me. The spa has all of the gadgets and gizmos you'd want during a facial and the space is super relaxing. When I was done asking questions, I fell asleep for a bit. It's really calming in there. One of the best things about Brea is that she has her own line of skin care products. She really lives out her philosophy and understanding of skin care through her products, which are natural and fragrance free. She's not pushy about people purchasing them, but offers it as an option to continue working on your skin. I've purchased her exfoliator, turmeric moisturizer, toner, and brightening serum and continue to use some of the cleansers and serums that I already had. I LOVE the liquid exfoliator. I can really feel it working and have noticed a difference since I've started. She's good at helping you to create a simple routine to help improve your skin. Overall, this is a really great spa. I'm fortunate to have such a knowledgeable esthetician in a beautiful and inviting space and I'm really excited to see how my skin can progress as I continue to learn from and get serviced at The Be Spa.

No cuticle care, and left mounds of cured nail glue under my nails. Also left enough space between my cuticle and the start of the nail where it looks like I've had them for a week. Everywhere on their website and in store their prices are posted. $65+ for an acrylic full set w/color. I was expecting maybe $10 more for chrome, at the most. My total was $104 and the whole time they wouldn't stop asking if I wanted my eyebrows or feet done. They asked me for tips after I tipped once already. Would not break down the price for me. They kept telling me to tell my friends, so if you choose to go here, make sure they do not overcharge you. And double check everything they do to make sure it is correct. I also was their last appointment of the day, and as a 17 yr old girl, I did not feel comfortable going alone. UPDATE: It has been 6 days and one nail already came off. No force, it FELL off??

The paint was thick, and it looked awful on my nails. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, he yelled at me. On top of that, the polish took a long time to dry, and had to redo a couple of nails because the paint got disturbed. It's as if asking a simple question is a crime at this place. You can definitely expect rudeness if you visit this store. Not just him, others working here behave the same. The environment is toxic and you can feel it.
