I've had two sessions so far here with Averie for laser tattoo removal, who is kind and easy to…read moretalk to. But my most recent visit left me hesitant to recommend this place. At my first appointment, we confirmed my two small tattoos directly next to one another would be classified and priced as a single "small" session at $200, and my next visit was rebooked at that same classification with the front desk while Averie was present. During my second session, the treatment went ahead as normal and Averie and I chatted throughout the treatment for ~30 minutes with no mention of any price change. Only after it was complete did the front desk tell me I'd be charged for a "medium" instead, bringing the total to $300. When I pushed back, the explanation I got from Averie felt jumbled and inconsistent. I paid the difference anyway because I'd already received the treatment and didn't feel I had a real choice. Deciding pricing after a service is done, when the client has no ability to say no, isn't something I can overlook, especially with a licensed provider where trust matters. I'm not sure if I'll be booking future sessions here. EDIT: The owner has reached out to rectify the situation, so I'll adjust the stars rating but leaving this up in case there are others who run into this same issue for transparency.

She takes the time to explain everything, makes sure you're comfortable throughout the entire process, and never makes you feel rushed. When someone is working that close to your eyes and doing something permanent- that level of attention and care matters! The studio itself is beautiful, welcoming, and clearly very professionally run. They offer a wide range of services, including microneedling, laser treatments, tattoo removal, and more, and the entire space has a polished, high-end feel without being intimidating. Angela's treatment room is lovely and comfortable, and she has a way of making the whole experience feel relaxed while still being extremely precise and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to trust her again. If you're considering permanent eyeliner and want someone who genuinely takes her time and cares about getting it right, I highly recommend Angela.

I really appreciate her willingness to see the situation from my perspective and her taking accountability for the misleading wording on the website. I'm now taking back my comment about the spa being "shady," since it has become clear that this was an honest mistake. However, I still stand by my concern that the membership terms and wording should have been much clearer from the beginning. I'm glad Balm took my concerns seriously and made an effort to make things right. I hope the website will be updated soon to provide more clarity, so issues like this can be avoided in the future. I had 2 laser hair removal treatments here. While the service was nothing to write home about, the way this business handles its memberships is incompetent at best and shady at worst. I signed up for their LARGE LASER MEMBERSHIP, which is advertised on their website as having the benefits of "Any 1 Extra-Large Laser" and "Any 2 Large Laser" each month, with savings of $304/month and a retail value of $603 (screenshot below). Maybe I'm delusional, please let me know, but how is anyone supposed to interpret that wording as anything other than 1 extra large + 2 large services included? Even their own membership portal shows 3 separate coupons for these 3 services. I had my extra large laser with no issue, but when I came back for the 2 large services, the tech told me I actually had to choose between the extra large and 2 large services (?). I ended up having to cancel my appointment and go home. Their manager reached out via text and basically admitted that the wording on the website AND the membership portal is misleading, and that I actually did have to choose between the 2 options. I asked for a refund because I wouldn't have purchased the membership had the terms been clearly stated. Of course, they refused. At this point, I've given up on trying to get a refund. I don't have the time or energy to keep going back and forth with these people. I'm posting this as a PSA for anyone considering signing up for any of their laser memberships: ask a lot of questions before giving them your money.

I know my lashes aren't as thick so they can't be exactly what I want but she did it! They're fluffy and have random long ones which I like!
