Lavender Spa has been a favorite spot for my friend for quite some time, so when she recommended I give it a try. So this week, we finally went together, and I booked a reflexology session along with a 1.5-hour ‍Head spa treatment, while she opted for the 35-minute body scrub, a one-hour massage, and a one-hour ‍head spa treatment. The environment was quiet, calming and welcoming and it was overall pleasant. The reflexology, which I anticipated to be focused on my , ended up feeling more like a full-body massage, which was a bit surprising but still relaxing. The scalp massage, on the other hand, was simply lovely, though I felt the scrub portion went on a bit longer than necessary, making that part of the experience too long. My friend had a great time with her services, although she did mention that it would be nice if the shower used for rinsing off the body scrub was a bit more upgraded--currently, it's tucked away in an odd room, which felt slightly odd. The overall experience was enjoyable and we will be back. The head spa treatment was my fav. I loved the scalp analysis, the cleansing, and especially the Therapeutic scalp massage. Honestly, I wish there were more head spa options like this in Sonoma County; they're seriously some of the best for relaxation and rejuvenation. ‍ What impressed me the most was the experience and the staff's kindness and attentiveness. THE WORST MASSAGE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. COMPLETE, PHYSICAL TORTURE! I walked in and two people were standing in front of me waiting to be helped as the staff at the desk were assisting another client. We were all told to sit down. Not once were we asked our names or what service we were there for. When I was taken into a room, there was no instruction or words exchanged, and the lady walked out, closed the door. I got ready for my massage and under the blanket. I popped my head up to see when someone came in. I said hello to the woman and she said hello back. That was the only verbal exchange. Still no one asking me what I scheduled or what my name was, what type of pressure I prefer etc. At first touch I was man handled by this lady. I literally thought she was going to break my bones she was using so much pressure and force. I continued to tell her lighter pressure, softer, too hard, but she continued. She randomly left the room at one time and came back with her phone to translate. I spoke into her phone to get across what I was trying to say. She still couldn't understand me. She randomly left the room again and got someone who spoke some English. At first this lady didn't understand me either. Finally she got the point. The massage went on and I walked out feeling black and blue. She pulled my hair so hard it was in knots. My whole body felt completely beat up like I was in an accident or physically beat by someone. As I left the room and approached the front desk I said that was painful and she is very strong. I was told, "you will be in pain for 1 to 2 days". I was in actual pain walking out rather than the neck discomfort I was experiencing prior. Not speaking the same language is fine, but make sure you are getting the correct communication across to clients. Check them in appropriately. This is absolutely uncalled for service. This place needs to be shut down! STOP SAYING YOU ARE WORKING WITH STAFF AND ADDRESSING PROBLEMS. CLEARLY YOU AREN'T ACCORDING TO OTHER REVIEWS. Your staff are a massive safety concern to the public who don't know any better. Also, receiving a message after posting this review offering a 30-minute complimentary massage... Anyone in their right mind would turn you in and never step foot in your business again. read more

We had a great and relaxing time at Lavender Spa. The ladies were super nice and accommodating, ensuring that everything was to our liking in terms of pressure and temperature. They also do a small discount if you pay with cash. I received both a full body massage and a scalp care, which we thoroughly enjoyed. If I were to only recommend one thing, do the scalp care! Heavenly!!!! Myself and two friends went to Lavender Spa today very last minute. We had a 1/2 hr foot reflexology and a one hour scalp treatment each. It was unbelievable. The place was spotless, the beds were comfortable with soft linens. The foot reflexology massage was great then we went to the scalp treatment. Our hair was washed, scalp massaged, neck massaged, scalp steamed and more. We will make this a monthly treatment no doubt. Treat yourself!!! The women working were all super nice. I scheduled a foot reflexology service which included foot, shoulder, face, and scalp massage which was a pleasant combination for an affordable price. The spa was clean and pretty inside. The therapist was kind and did her best. To keep things simple the part that made this appointment unpleasant was due to the language barrier. Unfortunately, I was uncomfortable for a great portion of the treatment due to the intense/at times painful massage pressure and when she asked me to roll onto my stomach for a back massage (which was unexpected) I requested a pillow for my stomach due to pregnancy. Although, I did my best to communicate these needs she was unable to understand me and make requested modifications so that I could be comfortable. I think some of this could have been avoided if we filled out a form about our preferences/health prior. Than it could have been reviewed by the therapist and communication wouldn't have been so challenging. I am sorry to leave a review like this but I hope that this helps improve the customer experience. read more

Fantastic massage! Had a couples massage and the room was comfortable and the massage was amazing. The women really got into all of our knots. At the beginning, they ask you if you would like anywhere focused on, and my masseuse did an amazing job getting all of the knocked out of my neck. This spa is AMAZING! I went in same day for scalp massage and foot reflexology and came out feeling incredibly rejuvenated. The service providers are absolutely lovely, attentive and have an incredible caring touch. The spa is serene, calming and they have state of the art equipment. I treated my boyfriend to a full body massage and he said it was the best massage he has ever had. We both frequent high end spas regularly. We are going back monthly! read more

I just paid for my girlfriend to have a 90 minute massage here and she left feeling very uncomfortable and violated. She stated that the service began normal and was a standard massage experience. At approximately an hour in, the door to the massage room abruptly opened and the lights turned on. No knock, no explanation, no words. The female masseuse then left the room, leaving the lights on. Mind you, my girlfriend is lying face down, topless, and only wearing underwear while covered with only a sheet. With no explanation or words spoken, my girlfriend was confused and assumed she had made a mistake and was only getting an hour massage and not a 90 minute one, so she got up and began getting dressed. After approximately 5 minutes, the masseuse returned and stared at her. She said "Massage not over" as she looked at my fully clothed girlfriend. My girlfriend then asked if she could then step back out so she could undress and get back on the table. The woman refused and ignored her and simply stared at her. She then repeated "would you mind stepping out so I can changed?" The woman remained non-responsive and stared at her. My girlfriend for a third time, now asked if she could simply turn around and motioned with her hand a turning around motion (providing a plausible explanation of a possible language barrier). The woman remained staring at her. My girlfriend reluctantly got undressed (whilst turned around to provide a slight semblance of privacy) and when she turned back around (now only wearing her underwear and cover her top with her arms. Essentially naked) the woman continued staring at her and then complimented her on her appearance. "You're so pretty. How old are you?" My girlfriend felt EXTREMELY violated and uncomfortable, but reluctantly laid down and the remaining 15-20 minutes of the massage were completed. Having had massages myself and her having had at least 20 or so, this was by far the most unpleasant experience she's ever had. She left feeling very violated and with a very bad taste in her mouth from the whole experience. A supposed relaxing experience became an awful start to a day. Would not recommend for anyone to go here for fear of this happening to others. read more

HORRIBLE MASSAGE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. RECOMMEND SPENDING MORE MONEY AND GETTING A QUALITY MASSAGE. Would personally give 0 stars if I could. I went a few times and had a wonderful experience with Linda. Then went back and Linda is no longer working there. I got a 1-hour hot stone massage from Lucky. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. HORRIBLE MASSAGE. Her hands were extremely rough; she put so much oil on me and never really massaged me just rubbed excessive amounts of oil all over me. Then leaves the room for like 10 minutes comes back with a black trash can filled with water and the "hot stones" then she started rubbing the wet hot stones on me on top off all the oil. She continued to leave the room a total of 3 times. I felt disgusting I wanted to get up and walk out but did not have all my clothes on. Did not speak English gave me her cell phone to talk into to translate and still did not listen to my requests to stop. She dug so hard into my neck with the hot stone I had to go to the ER due to neck pain. She also kept the lights on the whole time hard to relax and enjoy a massage being soaking wet with oil and water from the hot stones. Then when she put the stones down my back, she laid a towel down first, so I didn't even feel the heat of the stones. I really hope customers take this review into consideration prior to booking an appointment! I'm not the person to ever leave a negative review but I was in so much pain due to the way the hot stones were dug into my neck just wanted to warn others. As most massage facilities will have you fill out a form to disclose any prior injuries, health concerns or preferences for the massage. Super unprofessional. read more
