Lavazza is one of Italy's finest coffee brands and I was fortunate to visit their flagship store in Milan. The interior of this cafe exudes elgance and refinement with a large bar area in the middle as well as plenty of outdoor seating. Lavazza Blendissimo (€7/$7.50). This ice blended drink consisted of espresso, caramel, vanilla ice cream, and ice. It was rich, creamy and refreshing on a hot Italian day and had the perfect amount of sweetness. Cheesecake (€11/$12) - This masterpiece featured a pistachio nut base, a creamy robiola and goat cheese mousse, and a mango, passion fruit, and bergamot jelly topping. The creamy mousse and tang from the passion fruit complemented one another. Overall I was impressed with the items I sampled here. I just had the best hot chocolate from Lavazza's flagship coffee house. I stumbled upon this place 30 minutes before they were closing and there was a small line out the door. They weren't doing sit downs anymore but I wanted a drink for take out. We ordered a shakerato and a hot chocolate with cream. Both turned out much better than expected. The shakerato came with some 65% Lavazza chocolates and the actual coffee was delicious. My hot chocolate was perfectly sweeten and thick like I like. The cream on top was even good. It was perfect for that cold night. The inside of this place is beautiful for a coffeeshop and they offer a full menu. They also had readily made pastries as well. The people working were nice. The shop gets pretty busy and there might be a wait for sit down and take out. It is worth checking out though. It is located right in the heart of Milan. read more

Their shop is split between a sit down café style and a counter to enjoy your coffee quickly. I've never seen this kind of set up before and stumbled my way through ordering at the front register, ordering a cappuccino and a petite pastry from the display to enjoy at the standing counter. The server at the register was clearly annoyed with me, a foreigner who didn't speak Italian and also chose the counter to eat instead of selecting a table. To be honest, I don't blame him; after experiencing the counter, I should've chosen a table to eat my cake. Otherwise, the cappuccino came out quickly and I shuffled to find my place to stand for a few minute to enjoy the coffee and cake before quickly scurrying out to my next destination. Best thing on the menu: Strawberry Pistachio cake - light and fluffy layers complimented with rich puff pastry and pistachio crumble layers Ambiance - bustling, modern styled café with both a standing counter and a handful of tables. This cute fancy coffee shop serves some really good cappuccino's, they give you a chocolate candy and small chocolate waffer topped with marshmallow with your drink. It is large inside and attracts a crowd, walking distance to the shopping and sites to see. I loved the lighting and decor.
