I bought glasses at Laurier optical October 2014 and they definitely upsold the glasses insurance (150$ extra) as I was told by the manager that if the lenses were scratched or the frames broke they would be replace free of charge- huge selling point at the time. HOWEVER, less then a year later July 2015 the frames just fell apart off my face, luckily I was working in the area again, and took them in the next time to get them replaced as I was told by the manager i could do, but when I got there the manager wasn't in and they refused to honour the insurance even though on the file the insurance was there. so I had to wait 3 days til the manager was in and to talk to her, she denied ever saying the insurance would cover anything and that they dont and have never fully replaced lenses or frames under the insurance. I then called my dad who had been there with me that day so he could stand by my story, she continued to deny honouring the insurance. Being nothing but rude and acting like snotty brats the whole time, very disappointing since they were all grown women. Finally so frustrated and I need to glasses, to ya know see things, I had to buy new glasses, I refused to buy the insurance again even though they tried to convince me it was a good buy (HAHA). overall after having to wait a 3 days to talk to the manager and almost a month before the new glasses came in, dealing with all the rude and snotty sales reps, manager and the lack of honour towards insurance, I will never shop or recommend this store to anyone ever.
