It's sooooooo cozy and cute in here - I don't actually ever want to leave. You're secluded but also close to town for anything you need. ALL supplies you need are all here which is awesome. The owner called us to see how we were doing and to make sure we are enjoying our stay. I could go on and on but for real, and for a reasonable price, come stay here and experience the awesome yourself

I was worried it might be too small, but it was just right! I stayed in the loft bedroom's king sized bed and my friend stayed on the queen sized sleeper sofa downstairs. We had perfect timing and got to see the leaves changing color and enjoy the cool weather (being from South Florida these are both unusual!) We cooked some of our meals at the cabin in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a full fridge, stove/oven and a full set of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and silverware. It got cold enough that we made hot apple cider and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was also nice to have the hot tub to soak in after a day out on the town in the cold. The nearby town of Helen is an adorable Bavarian Alpine Village with great little shops and restaurants. We also drove to nearby Dahlonega to check out the shops and artists there. We were able to go horseback riding at the Sunburst Stables in Clarkesville and we also took a trip to the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland - I highly recommend both! I can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy some more outdoor activities like tubing on the Chattahoochee River or boating on Unicoi Lake at Unicoi State Park.

Okay, so I first went here around July of this year, but seeing as I did not have a Yelp account, I…read morecould not review it promptly then. I feel like now is as good a time as any other, as my opinion and experiences have not changed since then. We were stationed at the Cedar House property, and the house and surrounding views were simply stunning. The house was huge, and had 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, and accommodated a large group (10 people) appropriately. The bedrooms were spacious, but definitely had a dated (sort of Hotel-like) kind of feel to them. The entire place had a little bit of a dated feel, actually. The TVs were still those large, square TVs, and though we were supposed to have wi-fi, it wasn't working properly the week we came up. I honestly didn't mind, since my phone has appropriate internet connectivity, and I was able to tether it one night so we could browse through Hulu while we played games at the kitchen table as background noise. I mean, come on! You're going into the mountains to have an experience, to see sights you normally wouldn't see, and to make memories. I have a Verizon carrier, and didn't have a LOT of issues with phone service, but a lot of other people seemed to have issues. But you're in the mountains, and I feel like that's totally expected. I mean, why waste all day browsing facebook? You're out there to have fun, to hang out with people, to talk. And this is coming from a 22 year old college student more than adept at the ways of social media. The main floor was wheelchair accessible, with a huge entrance hall, and a very cabin-y kind of wooded feel to it. There are two decks, one on the lower level that blocks off 3/4 of the deck, and one on the upper floor that had a perfect view of the creek below. I loved the creek there! It was quick and bubbly, and a really nice mointain-y kind of touch. There was some sort of exterior deck, adjacent to the creek, as well as a set of stairs that led directly to the bank of the creek. Me and my friends played games out on it, more specifically, we had a raft and we traversed across it. The water was fast, and the creek bed wasn't very low in that area at all. Let's see... What else to say? Well the kitchen was already pre-equipped with pots, pans, cups, etc. All we really had to bring was our own food and entertainment. The parking seemed alright for the number of cars we had, but really, it was limited to maybe.... 5 or 6 cars. This cabin is the cabin that has started my obsession with recreating this experience. Because of this cabin, I'm going to be throwing my own cabin in the woods party in a few months, and I want all the guests to feel the way I felt when I was here: exhilarated, happy, excited. It really was one of the most memorable experiences I've had this entire year.

It's only about a 2hr drive from where I am but there was a bit of traffic getting out of atlanta on a wed afternoon when we left so we didn't get in till dark. I called to say we might miss the office check in hours (till 6pm) so they kindly left the key in the cabin for us for whenever we arrived which was very helpful. The rooms were clean and kitchen and bathroom had pretty much everything you needed. We also utilized the charcoal grill. Only complaint was the lighting was a tad dark during the night but maybe it's to help you relax. Loved the view of the lake from the cabin, it was beautiful to wake up to. We were also able to bring our dog for a $60 fee. House rule does say no dog on bed so keep that in mind. There was a little doggy station on site and we were able to walk him around the property to potty. He enjoyed his stay and we liked going to the nearby trials in the morning/afternoon for a hike. There's an ingles nearby as well as some other restaurants if you need food options like McDonald's, Dunkin, couple of Pizza chains, and whatever a small town typically has to offer. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

All the amenities worked and Jeanette is so timely in responses and getting our needs met. There is something for everyone, seriously. The only bad thing you could possibly say is that the roads to get into the cabins is a bit confusing and a bit technical to drive with a full size truck and trailer. However, once you're in, you just hate to leave. I found at the end of every long day of riding, I was so happy to get to come home to Wildflower cabin #1 as my home. We checked in with friends who rented another cabin #7 and they raved about it as well. Look no further for your family lodging needs, this is the place you are looking for! =)
