We booked a date ahead of time that turned out to be right after the late January ice storm. The inn called to confirm our visit or to offer a refund with no penalty. "We are comIng" and so they were ready. We were the only guest, however, which was great, because we had the run of the place, but odd because from 9PM until 5;00 AM or thereabouts we were the only people in the inn. But happy hour went on nevertheless, beforehand, and dinner was cathead biscuits, local pecan encrusted pan seared trout, and other local delicacies. We felt so special! Our room was very nice, however, if you happen to be here during or after an ice storm, don't get a room adjacent to the main road. The power company did a great job clearing roads and restoring lines and such, but they get an early start and are big and loud rolling down the main cross street at very early AM times, and we are early risers. Just saying, a very, very lovely stay, but get a back room if an ice storm has just rolled through. Definitely will return!

We checked out early because mattress was so uncomfortable in "Holly". When this was brought up to management the general manager Jenna said "I have slept in that bed before and it was fine" - not the most professional response. Sorry won't return and I cannot recommend.

Title: A Blissful Retreat at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa…read more Rating: (5/5) My partner and I recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings left us utterly enchanted. Firstly, I must commend Alex, the multi-talented front desk manager and concierge. Her warm welcome and exceptional hospitality set the tone for our entire stay. Alex not only ensured a smooth check-in but also provided us with valuable information about the resort and nearby attractions. Her dedication to making our stay memorable was truly impressive. Our mornings were filled with culinary delights thanks to the talented chefs, Michael and Linda. There are always 2 courses, and they typically feature some local produce and meats. Michael's breakfast creations on day one were a delightful surprise, with flavors that danced on our taste buds, especially the sausage! Linda, the breakfast chef on day two, continued the culinary excellence with a delectable breakfast that left us craving for more. The eggs with asparagus were amazing and I am super picky about my eggs. Rebecca, the waitress, deserves a special mention for her attentive and friendly service during our meals. She made dining a pleasure, always ready with a smile and quick to accommodate any request. Carla, the kitchen helper, and Cassidy, another member of the front desk and concierge team, contributed to the overall smooth operation of the inn. Their dedication behind the scenes did not go unnoticed, and it's evident that the entire staff at Lucille's is a well-oiled machine. Desserts are also served in the evening and the guests serve themselves and typically joined in the common areas, reading, chatting or playing one of the several board games available. It was delightful way to unwind. The highlight of our stay was the couples massage at the spa, a truly rejuvenating experience. The spa staff exhibited professionalism and skill, creating a tranquil atmosphere that allowed us to unwind and connect on a deeper level. Lucille's Mountain Top Inn and Spa is a place where luxury meets nature, and where every staff member goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. The stunning mountain views, the impeccable service, and the attention to detail make this an oasis of relaxation and romance. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem in the mountains. Thank you, Lucille's, for making our stay unforgettable.

My husband had scheduled a massage as a gift for that afternoon. This was probably the worst experience I have had. The therapist was poor in her execution, style and even manner. Before my treatment even started she mentioned an up charge for deep tissue. During my treatment she burped two times and her massage was far from relaxing her massage etiquette as a therapist was poor and as it was my birthday it sort of ruined my whole experience there, which was a shame. I did reach out to the B&B and provided my feedback, was told the spa manager (Tanya) would reach out but she never did. Heard back from the B&B manager and she told me the owner would give me a $50 dollar credit to my treatment the next time! We live almost two hours away so will not be planning on using that any time soon. To be honest after that experience I would not go back to the spa. The b&b was lovely the massage experience not so.

Sarah, the breakfast chef/server, was awesome! She was very efficient & sweet. We stayed in a king room & it was nice, with great ac! (Very important in this hot weather!) We spoke to the owner Brian, a couple of times & he was helpful, & wanted to make sure that everyone was enjoying their stay. We had a couple of minor issues, and they were handled very quickly. The only thing that wasn't great was the wifi, which was very spotty. Not a big deal though. Highly recommend!

We were a party of 6 for the Thanksgiving dinner 2025. With new owners as of three or so months…read morepreviously, this was my LAST dining experience here. It was a buffet style meal. I expected turkey but they only served small thin slices of turkey breast (with giblet gravy - no traditional gravy available) and some kind of baked ham (mostly in chunky pieces) in a cabbage broth (a dish of sweet dark looking sauce available). The appetizer/salad/soup options: big bowl of mostly frissee lettuce w/ grape tomatoes, shaved carrots with a gross thick sauce of balsamic vinaigrette. There were trays of: baked root veggies, sweet potato pone, mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. The rolls were industrial like (white rolls out of a bag) not the homemade fresh baked breads I've had here before. There were bowls of Smoked CHOPPED salmon (why would anyone chop up smoked salmon?) and trout with a tzatziki sauce (not a dip) was not what one would expect. The best part of the whole meal was the butternut squash bisque. The dessert option that I chose was a small wedge of flour chocolate ganache torte. It was dry and the topping was very thin. There was fresh made whipped cream but the buffet table (overall) was not well maintained. The table service was subpar. We had plates sitting on our table for long periods of time and would have liked to have more visits by the waitress for more pours of coffee. The wine selection is not what it used to be. My Oregon Pinot Gris was served in a stumpy Chardonnay glass (ugh). For the price of this meal....we should have been treated right and fed a phenomenal holiday meal. My father and mother had experienced at least two Thanksgiving meals at Glen-Ella in recent years and raved about how good it was, which was why he shelled out the money to take me and invite friends to eat there this past Thanksgiving. The worst part was the response of the wife (Michelle) of the husband/wife owners who replied to my email whereby I described the above meal/service and the excuses I got, contradicting statements I made as if she was there and witnessed what me, my dad and our fellow diners experienced, giving excuses for such poor service and food selections. She did say the next time we return to let her know. We're not going to risk another poor and expensive experience. WE WILL NEVER RETURN. Update.....it doesn't surprise me that Michelle replied the way she did to my review. I can tell you that most people who are disappointed with food/service do NOT write reviews either on Yelp! or other review sites. But you, as a discerning buyer, can look at other reviews and see when things change for the better or worse. Buyer beware.

It had a 4 Star rating with AAA and it looked beautiful so I made the reservation. We were looking for a place to relax, do some hiking and look at nature and that is exactly what we got and more. When we got there Henry and Clare, who own this beautiful Bed and Breakfast, made us feel welcomed immediately. The grounds and the B & B are breathtaking. We stayed in the Lord Tenneyson Room. The lake nearby is Lake Glenviille which is incredible. They had a champayne cruise on the the lake and the next day evening drinks. They also served a full breakfast daily in the room. Clare and Henry gave us a map of hiking trails. They recommended Rainbow Falls and Whitewater Falls. Great hikes and even better scenery. This facility is well worth the 4 stars. Their service is just as good as any 5 star resort. It is romantic and well worth the trip.

So the inn is a gorgeous property and the fall air made everything so crisp and beautiful. Claire and Henry welcomed us so warmly and made everything special. They were so kind to upgrade us to the Emily Bronte Suite that we loved! The room was warm and cozy, I loved the bathroom!! Lol. My husband really enjoyed that they brought breakfast to our room. He had never stayed in a place that did that for guests. It was always delicious and got us ready for a day of exploration. We went to the hospitality hour almost every day. Claire and my husband talked about craft beers and she was such a sweetheart to remember what kind of beers he enjoyed and had them at the next days hospitality hour. We took all of Claire and Henry's recommendations on things to do and good places to eat. Which included; the Champagne Cruise (lots of fun, Claire brought those delicious crackers she makes) different waterfalls to go see, and going to see the Biltmore in Asheville. Long story short we loved this bed and breakfast and if given the opportunity we would gladly go back. Thank you Claire and Henry!

We are in no doubt that no matter what happens, our day will go off without a hitch. The wedding venue is all inclusive and priced VERY competitively. But when they moved to Georgia, I was so elated that I had to go and do another trail ride with them. The drive to Clayton was quite scenic, with lush greens and beautiful mountains to look at. It is about a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, but definitely worth it! Their new barn is in a residential area, with some beautiful trails heading to the mountains. The ride to the mountains was so peaceful and relaxing, and ability to trot and canter the horses was amazing, giving some added thrill to the ride. I was so happy to ride Tripoli again, who is a very beautiful and sweet white Arabian gelding. He was responsive to my commands, and was quite forgiving when making a mistake. While Tripoli's trots are a little bouncy (though, can be posted pretty easily), his canters are as smooth as a rocking horse. Ken is such a friendly and amazing guide. He really helps you learn how to control the horses correctly and helps the timid riders gain their confidence on the horses. While he makes safety of the horses and riders his highest priority, as long as the horses are up for it, and he find it safe to do so, he lets you trot and canter almost anytime you want (the only time when he suggested against it was going downhill for obvious reasons ;) ). The horses here very sweet, friendly, and well taken care of. They get fed twice per day, and get plenty of breaks during and in between the rides. They all love having treats, so be sure to bring carrots and peppermints. They will treat you even extra nice if you bring those. :) The cost of the ride is $50 for a 1.5 hour ride if only a single person is riding, or $40 per person if 2 - 4 people are riding. The ride is indeed private, with no other strangers riding with you. It is worth every penny and I can't wait to go back to Georgia and ride with them again soon!
