The Boynton Beach Recreation and Parks Department is in charge of meeting the recreational needs of the greater Boynton Beach area with parks and programs that enhance the physical health, social well-being, and sense of community. Parks give people a place to exercise, enjoy the outdoors, walk their dogs, see wildlife, and provides a place for their kids to play safely.
One of the parks the Boynton Beach Recreation Department oversees is a small 1.2 acre park in the Laurel Hills neighborhood of Boynton Beach. The park playground was built in the mid-1970's but the equipment was replaced in 2006 but the roof pieces could use a pressure cleaning. The park also has an open play area, benches, picnic table, and basketball court. In 2022, two dozen trees were planted as part of the Go Green Boynton initiative.
Laurel Hills Park is open daily from Sunrise to Sunset. If you visit just keep in mind that there aren't any restrooms. It is however a great park for neighborhood kids to play in. On the day I visited a group of children were enjoying a day off from school. read more
