I have passed to place on many occasions and never stopped. Nice dog area and has a great playground for the kiddo. Also has tennis courts. I will for sure go back and bring the doggy. This is a great park to take your whole family. It has a dog park, pavilions to rent, tennis court,…read moresmall park, and a big park. Once you entree the area you can turn left to park your boats or turn right and have fun in the park. There's plenty of parking space, but it does not have a big parking lot. To the left area there are 2 dog parks- one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas are fenced in, have plenty of space for the dogs to run around and are clean. Before you enter both parks you will see the rules to follow. To the right side is the children's park. There are 2 pavilion you can rent to have parties or gatherings. Each pavilion has at least 4 picnic tables and a grill. The small park is great for the little ones. The big park has a 2 story playing area, rock climbing and swings. In this area you will also see a tennis court for free!! Lastly, the bathroom is clean and roomy.

When I pulled in on this early Saturday morning, the parking lot were already filled with people to play on the spirt field. However, I was here to walk around the conservation area. Anyway, Young Pine Community Park also has a children's playground, a dog park (actually two parks, one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs), a canoe and kayak launch and much more. The Conservation Area had signs spaced regularly throughout instructing that no loitering was allowed. I'm assuming this is more to keep the homeless out from camping here. I mean, is it a park about supposed to be hanging out? Getting close to nature? Again, I am guessing that this is an attempt to keep the homeless from establishing tents in a wooded area. All In all, this is an enjoyable little park. The sporting Fields seem to be the biggest draw, but I enjoyed the little walk around the lake and all.

I spoke to a pet owner and he said the best time to socialize your small dog is at 10am until noon. I came around 1pm and there were more big dogs than small. The area of the park is in a great location and its very much kept up with maintenance and clean from other dog owners. Its given only 4 stars because the location of the small dog area is right next to the dumpsters of the apartment building that's right next door. It would be nice, if that area was hidden. First of…read moreall, Dr. Phillips Community Park sits on a small lake so it has a pretty view when you drive up. There is no swimming in the lake allowed however because of wildlife. Near the lake, there is a large playground for kids. It has slides, swings, and climbing structures. It's gated which is nice for the kids' safety (but parents/caregivers should still watch their kids!). They also have a splash pad next to the playground. In addition to the playground, there are lots of sidewalks all around to walk on. It's perfect if you want to get those steps in. There is a basketball court, sand volleyball court, dog park, and picnic tables. I saw a sign for occasional community events as well on the bulletin board near the bathrooms. We would love to come back to this park again when in the Dr. Phillips area of town!

The play area is not as large as some of the others but it's more of a cozy feel plus they seem to have a good amount of friendly staff working each time I have been there, so service was nice and easy. They have a decent selection of beers as well as mixed drinks. The food is pub food such as flat bread, wings, and sandwiches. I opted for a pizza which was out very quickly (I notice the brick oven is outside) so it had a good flavor. There is a fee if you bring your dog but humans can come and eat and drink for free.
