While staying in the area, we wanted to find a park that was quiet and away from touristic areas. We found this part that is hidden behind a private and new developed community and is next to a school. The park is pretty big with a big playground lots of picnic tables and a large splash pad area for kids. Even though it was a holiday it was not packed and there was plenty of parking. Lots of shade and big bathrooms.

I adore this local community part. It's newer and everything is still in great condition. I do wish there was a little shade for the baby swings in the playground area because everything else has a bit of shade it seems. The splash pad recently reopened and it's a large area with plenty of room for lots of kiddos to play. My little one is little and still only crawling so I was able to find him a little splash area away from the bigger kids which I really liked.

This is a decent enough park with plenty to do. It has a large parking area and again, has a lot to offer. If you are in the area, I would definitely recommend this particular park.

This is a very nice park. There are a lot of picnic areas, many benches, large playground area, sand volleyball courts, nice restrooms, and a nice view of the lake. I went here for the trail which was very nice. It's about a mile through trees. Access is via the paved trail parallel to the road unless you can find the hidden secret access behind the volleyball courts. Most of the trail is sand. Tough for MTB unless wide tires or the shoulder on about 1/2 trail. Great place for a family outing.

I expected Dr. P. Phillips Community Park to be beautiful but it shows that it opened at the end of 2007. The dog park and walking path is nice enough but the play equipment was run down and dirty. It looked like it has not been cleaned in a very long time. They offer pavilions, bathrooms and grills. At least one of the grills was severely damaged and the others looked aged. The splash park was closed but when it is open they only charge one dollar a person. It looked unkept and the lounge chairs were filthy. Filthy enough that they should be completely covered if you plan to use them.

What a great location for the dog park. I love brining the boys here, while it is smaller than some other parks we've been to, its still gives ample room for the smaller dogs to run around and there is a TON of shade! There are benches and tables for us to sit at and even a kiddie pool for the dogs to jump into. Great hidden gem in the area if you are looking for a place for the furry friends to run around.

I love this park and their splash pad. It's always very clean, even the bathrooms are clean considering it's a park, and the grounds are well kept. There is a large playground, part of which is for smaller children and part geared towards bigger kids. There is a small dog park, several pavilions available to rent, and volleyball, softball, and soccer fields. There is a walking trail around the park, and a nature trail through a wooded area. The trails are not long, but nice for a leisurely stroll. There are many grassy areas to lay a blanket for a picnic or relaxation. The splash pad is open year round, depending on weather. Except during the summer months, when school is out, there are small numbers of people at the splash pad on any given weekday and it's free (when admission is charged, it's only $1 per person-check website for full details). I've found summer and weekends to be crowded, but still a lot of fun. Orlando has a lot of nice parks and this is definitely one of the best.

Very nice dog park with plenty of patrons when we went. The area is nicely fenced in with a water fountain for both small and big dog areas. There are benches with umbrellas for dog owners to sit and watch if they don't want to be out in the sun. Additionally, there are basketball courts, pavilions, and a water park for other patrons. Definitely a good place to spend a nice day at.

    Party at the park!

2017 Yelp 100 Review Challenge 58/100 What a super cute park! I went for a birthday party this weekend. It was a little crowded but it's really big with lots of activities for kids. They have a playground, splashpad, volleyball court, basketball court, pavilions for rent and a beautiful view of the Orlando eye! My son had a ball climbing on everything and running around. I really liked that there was a lot of grass for maybe a picnic. We set up some lawn games and the kids played those as well. I also liked that the ground was rubber. It helped me feel better about my son climbing so much. The ground was really soft and bouncy. This park is great for a party or just an afternoon out with your family. The pavilions are reasonably priced as well. I would like to return in the future!

Awesome park for little kids. My 7 year old son and 3 year old daughter love this park. It's on the lake so the breeze from the water makes it not as hot. There's also ample shade. There's sand, trails, splash pad and slides.

To me this is more of a dog park honestly because they have an area just for dogs, love that they separated the big dogs from the small dogs. There is a lot of benches to sit at, pavilions for shade as well as a playground for the kids. I love that they have the exercise stations for those who want to get a workout in while walking or jogging the pond. Only thing I had an issue is that the women's restroom doesn't have a trash can for feminine product disposal.

However, the majority of us are not "allowed" here and it is dangerous. Let me explain. The first Saturday morning I went I fell in love immediately and met some nice people and dogs. Unfortunately, I have never had that experience again, and I now realize this was an anomaly. There is a group of locals who "own" the spot, mostly mid-40's to mid-60's men. They are not friendly or welcoming and their dogs are aggressive, clearly feeding off of the "subtle" vibes of their owners. The vibe with the dogs is more overt: no one else allowed here. The dogs will bark menacingly and chase off other dogs and constantly have their hackles up. The first time I encountered the group was on a Sunday, so I thought, "Okay, I'll just stick with Saturdays at this place." But the next Saturday they were there, too. Really bad vibes, had to leave quickly. I stayed away from visiting for a while, but I have to re-state that this is such a great dog park! So today, I wanted to try again, and I figured maybe a weekday morning at 7:00am would be safe. Nope! The crew was there like they live there. I was so upset but let my dog at least run the full fenced in area and go potty. Several dogs had already threatened him, hackles all up, the crew not saying a word to me as I walked past to bag my dog's poop. We left as quickly as we could (it's a BIG place), and two of "the crew" were also leaving with their three dogs. My own dog is a sweet Labradoodle; you know, one of those kind souls who is always smiling and who loves everyone and every dog? Well, as we were trying to exit, the pack of three dogs attacked my dog. The owner quickly called them off, but mine ran to me (he's 90 lbs) and was clearly afraid. I comforted him and we waited for the group to leave first. My dog seemed fine, and unhurt. However, I later found drips of blood on the back door of my car, once I realized that his ear was wounded at home. I am so furious. This is ridiculous. This public park does NOT belong to these horrible people and their violent dogs. I wish law enforcement would intervene, but I doubt it. I would not recommend visiting this park, although it is absolutely beautiful. It's a shame that people suck, train their dogs to suck, and ruin a lovely thing for others who have every right to enjoy it. My tax dollars, which are substantial, pay for this park, too. It makes me so angry that I will never be able to go back.
