I am extremely keen on sanitation and keep my spaces neat and clean. So, I was actually taken aback when an attendant asked if I "dirtied the bathroom" after my simply going in to grab paper towels and wipe down a personal item. It was accusatory, nasty, and unnecessary. I felt humiliated, as a big production was made of cleaning whatever the dirt/mess was, and the bathroom was locked immediately behind me, after it had been open for at least the hour or so that I'd been there. Bear in mind, there were several guests in the laundromat during the time I was (around 2:30pm). So it could have been anyone who allegedly dirtied the bathroom. When I approached another staff member about the poor way I was handled, she didn't react or apologize. Just nodded her head. This bizarre and rude encounter was not on par with the customer service that I've received here. I was actually appalled to be treated with such discourtesy and incivility where I spend my hard-earned, NYC dollars on a regular basis. TUH.

Attempted to use a washer that was free unmarked and was instructed I had to use a larger more expensive washer because that one was reserved for families coming in. This machine was not marked for reserve. I could understand if it was for drop off service not potential customers not in house. This morning she had all the small washers held for incoming families. Not sure if this is a common practice to reserve washers for potential customers vs letting customers already in house utilize the washer for the 20 or so minutes. I've visited this laundry several times first time I've came across this issue. I hope this will not be an ongoing issue.

The onscreen instructions to get a card & load money on to it were very simple to follow. Cash only. You don't need quarters, that's a big plus for me because I don't like carrying cash, let alone change. It's much easier to get cash from the ATM than to get cash AND get change for a machine. Double load washer= $2.25 Triple load washer= $3.95 Giant load washer= $5.35 Dryer= $0.30 for 8 minutes Tons of machines. 50 washers & 50 dryers. Cable TV. Another plus. You don't know how many times I have been stuck watching Chinese soap operas at the laundromat because that's what the owners wanted to watch. Free WiFi for those of you who don't have unlimited data plans. Just ask for the password. Video games for kids to play. Vending machines are reasonably priced. There's a machine to get quarters for the video games next to the card machine. Has parking lot but it's very small. 5-6 cars max that's if people park properly. If you show up after 7 when there are no meters you can just park on the street. Save 10% off dry cleaning when you prepay. There's a rewards program so don't lose your card. I haven't quite figured out how to keep track of how many points you have though. Maybe when you refill it tells you on the screen? For some reason the door on the first machine I chose wouldn't close & I didn't know where the attendant was so I just moved my clothes to another machine. I saw a sign that said no refunds, so I didn't even bother trying to get my money back. When I found the attendant I told her that the door on machine 28 wasn't working. She said next time just called her over & she'll close it. I didn't lose my money, I got my $3.95 back to dry my clothes. It's a little bit more than my other laundromat, but the customer service here is way better, it's way cleaner, & it's open all the time so no more rushing to get in for last wash. Once a month, I'm in there to wash my stinky gym clothes!

This is an old school place, where most people trace their roots back to the old country (somewhere near Krakow, I'm sure) and perform their own laundry duties each week. I'm a drop off guy and headed straight for the counter. There, I encountered what appeared to be the owner, who was congenial but asked when I needed it straight away. I said tomorrow, which got him into a bit of a kerfuffle, and he replied, "well you need to drop that off by 1 pm normally for that service". But he floated me a grace and said, "well, we'll do it tonight for you, since you are a new customer". Sure enough, the next day I walked in at 10 am the next day and it was done! And a cut above the rest. Not only was it clean and smelling fresh, but my socks were actually matched pretty well. As a bonus, they separated my underwear and socks, encasing them in their own plastic bundle, apart from the rest of my laundry. First time I have seen this done. Bravo! Maybe that's the reason I screwed up this first visit back to this place because I left an entire load of clothes behind in the dryer! The staff was nice enough to keep my clothes tucked away nice and neat until I realized two days later that I left them behind! This place has been clean pre-COVID and they've BEEN sanitizing the machines and folding tables in between customers before the pandemic. Many of these Bed-Stuy laundromats make me want to hand wash all of my clothes and never step foot in a laundromat because they are just way too unsanitary-- but not this place. Once you take your clothes out of the washer, they are sanitizing inside and out. No more strange smells after someone takes their supposedly clean load out and no more bringing my own sanitizing products to wipe down the washers before use. They take care of it for you! Floors stay mopped and clean so you don't feel so bad if you drop a panty or two. Other laundromats I will throw away any piece of clothing that falls to the ground but here, I'll kindly rewash them. That says a LOT. If you need any detergent, laundry bags (plastic or cloth), bleach, dryer sheets, fabric softener, etc., they've got a little convenient store and a vending machine inside to get all the stuff you need. I can't say the staff was always so welcoming but the owner is soooo much nicer now. Whatever change happened has truly warmed his soul and I feel more happy spending my coins here! Before this was the only laudry place to go to because I lived a couple steps away, now I gladly drive to this place because it's worth it. There's a change machine (all machines take coins) nice size options for washers and it doesn't take a crazy amount of detergent to get things soapy. A quarter gets you 7 minutes for the dryer. If you are a nice person who doesn't overstuff the dryer, 21 minutes is all you need to dry a load-- 75 cents ain't bad, huh? This isn't a large laundromat but if you go during non-peak times, you can get your washing done quick and easy and maybe catch a show on the big tv screen while you wait! My blanket came out stained with detergent residue and the guy who was running the place told me this small thin blanket was too much for the small washer. I was surprised because $4.00 could have washed the blanket and a sheet set at my old laundry. Then, i noticed how the workers treated the drop off laundry while the same guy was towering over each girl at every machine. First they dumped the clothes on the dirty floor to separate. Then most of the time alllll of the clothes went into one large wash machine. There was no care.No colors and darks were separated, so go here at your own risk. I wouldn't want my clothes dirty or not dumped on the floor and to go there the low prices aren't what they seem if washers are small as hell . And the manager was micro managing like hell.
