I started going to mickey's laundry mat about 15 years ago…read more It's the old-fashioned kind that you put the quarters in the machine. They could keep it cleaner but they never have. several of the machines they keep for the workers to do private laundry and so there are times it's difficult to get big machines considering they only have one. 4 medium size and the rest are all small. It makes it challenging to want to do blankets. They sell soap and detergent's but it's easier just to go next-door and save money. They've had many different girls that do the laundry there and work there, A few have been incredibly nasty but for the most part they're nice and helpful and considerate. In Lindenwood & New and old Howard Beach this is the laundry mat I would recommend to go to. Back to me the best one is on Woodhaven next-door to the pet store.

This is literally my first review and I have had my account for years. But I am now stuck with 7…read morebags of laundry that I have to sort out. ALL of the shirts were folded inwardly and I now have to open and refold every single shirt so that I can see what shirt it is and who it belongs to, for 7 bags!! It's ridiculous. On top of that they did not do the socks, just scattered them throughout the bags. Oh and I also had to pay for my entire order in full and in advance, of course it's my luck that the one day I run out of the house without my purse I end up at the only laundromat in town that has such a policy, as if I would drop my clothes off and not come get them. Other than that, the place is clean, the clothes smell very good and the lady attendant was very nice. My intention is not to bash but they need to never ever fold anyone's clothes in this manner because it is a true nightmare to sort out.

5/10 not the best but not the worst, they use the card so it's much easier to start your machine…read morebut the machines are relatively smaller. The smallest machine is $3 and half of the machines are either warm or cold hot water only (they really need to do some repairs) They have parking in the back and it's relatively clean but you do have to fight for machines during busy hours.

Very rude staff AND customers…read more My first experience using the laundry machines was awful. The second left a lot to be desired. My first time there I took the first washer, entered my stuff, and then heard the door clicking as if locking automatically (), I was puzzled but then proceeded to add the credits to start the cycle and the machine simply added it and started when I pressed the button. The machines at other laundries do NOT start if the door is not latched, this one did. So I was thinking maybe these doors were automatic, until I noticed all the water coming down onto the floor, I was wondering what the heck was going on, when the attendant came rushing cursing me in Spanish (esta cabrona, no mames, no cerró la puerta la pendeja campesina esta), latched the door aggressively and then went for some towels to dry the floor. It was alright, not the way to correct a behavior but I decided to give them another chance because: duh, silly me, right? My second time there, there were no seats available so I stood in front of the washer I was using. Another person doing laundry came with a cart and started filling the machine on the right next to the one I was using, while her cart was pushing me aside to take the space I was using in front of the machine I took, the first time I looked at her and guessed she didn't notice, maybe too distracted on her stuff. Only to have her again at the same machine a second time filling it up and pulling the cart right by my face (the cart that has a long pole to hang clothes), to which I had to step out of the machine space onto the one on the left. By now I'm a little aggravated. For the third time, the same person came with the cart to fill the machine on the left to the one I was using only to do the same $#!, pulling the cart not asking for permission, and when moving away hitting me on the arm with it, as if I am the one in the way disturbing the peace . Not a single time she said "excuse me" to let me make space for her, nor "sorry" for bumping onto me. There is no wait area in the place that is not filled with elderly seating or people fixing and organizing their clothes, and is a constant passing of people with carts that move as if you're the one in the way and should move somewhere else. The space is big enough, yet the clothing area is always full, the seatings are always full, the hallway is too narrow and everyone behaves very impolite. Other places that are much more uncomfortable have staff and customers that behave better.

I literally made a yelp account to rave about these guys…read more.. My dad came into town on a Friday night for my wedding on Sunday. Yes 2 days before. This isn't therapy so I'll move on. As expected, my dad left his suit bag in the cab ride over. Great - he came in cargo shorts. What else ya got life? He gets drunk at dinner rehearsal and rips one of the groomsman's jacket. We wanted nice photos so everyone is dressed in their day of gear. Great. I'm about to vomit when my mom tells me we're going to this dry cleaner right around the block tomorrow. As far as dry cleaners go - its a big one, so I'm guessing they do good work but lack that intimate attention. It's Saturday - I walk in with my dad and my fiance's friend, Vincent (the one that fought my dad) and give them the spiel. We hand over a terrible looking off the rack suit from Macy's for my hung over dad and Vinny's destroyed pants. I tell them the story - the guy at the counter looks up at me and says, a wedding huh? He tells me not to worry and that there's enough to think about (apparently his wedding was insane). Wrapping up this rant - I get a call at 5:30 p.m. (they close at 6). He tells me they're far from finished - my dad's tux alteration was extensive and that they still needed a few hours. He tells me not to worry and asks for an address. 11:00 p.m. - my doorbell rings. Perfectly tailored tux, ripped pants look like new, a congratulations card and flowers. I'm not from that neighborhood so I'm truly sad there isn't more I can do for these people. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart!

Called to ask for a refund and was only offered a "fix," but why would I allow them to ruin my pants AGAIN? Horrible customer service, and the original seamstress (who was excellent) apparently retired. They started going downhill this year; was charged for stain removal, which they forgot to do, and when I called, I was told I wouldn't be charged again since it was their mistake. Went in, and a gentleman charged me a second time. They're awful - rude, no standards, and way overpriced for the quality of their work. 100% would never recommend.
