It's just that I have a case of the tomorrows when driving it around town is necessary, I'm in a new town and a new laundry place seems daunting - I've built this up too big in my head - in my hamper, so I delayed it another day. New Years Day came early, I. All over to Soap Opera at - mmmmm - 7am? And Marlin answers to inform me that they're open for business. Mind you, I've always had washers and dryers and now I must get in the vehicle to get to them all with unfamiliar knobs and buttons. But Marlin was Johnny on the Spot - my man from Brooklyn and we hit it off fast. He was from Bushwick - I dropped "Evergreen, Palmetto, Wycoff and I got him laughing and smiling - I'll not mention what I was up to over there. Marlin was a whirlwind of cleaning up on my arrival - mopping and cleaning the displays and still found the time to golet me the quality detergent, the best washer and instructed my dumb arse when to add and how much. While there, more people stared pouring in, all greeting Marlin by name - the couple next to me , well the girl we t out to get Marlin his favorite breakfast sandwich. This is a great guy, this is a great place - we hugged it out NYC style like two old homeboys.

I was assured that if I brought my items in at 7:00 am that I could pick them up at 7:00 am the next day. I didn't quite arrive at 7:00 am but that wasn't the issue. There was some type of maintenance going on which prevented the turnaround time I'd been told. It was disappointing but not the end of the world. I picked up my items after my extended weekend. The folks over there seem very friendly and pleasant. The prices seem to be competitive. I'm sure I will be back to get a feeling about them being my new neighborhood cleaners.

This was a pretty interesting experience. When I walked in, there was a front desk where a friendly lady (At the time) is there to help customers out if they have any questions or new like me. She will walk you through every step of what machine sizes you need based on your load and type of laundry. The machines themselves are relatively self-explanatory, as far as, wash type and water temperature needed for the washing machine's and drying temperatures for the dryers. They have a cash to card system where you put in a certain amount of cash on a card she provides you based on the machine used. Once that is determined, she'll then proceed to take the cash amount provided and use a touchscreen kiosk to transfer the cash to the card. There is a $1 deposit for the use of the card which gets returned back afterwards, as long as, you didn't lose it. Any amount still left on the card at the end of your washing/drying experience gets returned to you including the deposit. The facilities at this location is very clean and large enough to accommodate the decent number of people.
