Of the two launderettes I know in the area, this is probably the most accessible as it doesn't involve carting your laundry up a hill (Stamford Hill) which is a tad tiresome to say the least.
It costs about £3 per load for a coin-operated machine (£3.20 for a large machine) and more for service washes which you can leave and collect already dried and packed in a bag.
There's a spinning machine, which is useful for getting the excess moisture out of the heavy items before drying (20p per spin cycle). The drying machines are relatively new and cost 20p for about 4 minutes, so it can cost up to £2 to dry a load of washing, depending on how heavy it is and whether you've put it in the spinner first.
Very handy to have locally when your washing machine is bust (and apparently it's supposed to be more environmentally friendly to share resources like these). read more
