It costs about £3 per load for a coin-operated machine (£3.20 for a large machine) and more for service washes which you can leave and collect already dried and packed in a bag. There's a spinning machine, which is useful for getting the excess moisture out of the heavy items before drying (20p per spin cycle). The drying machines are relatively new and cost 20p for about 4 minutes, so it can cost up to £2 to dry a load of washing, depending on how heavy it is and whether you've put it in the spinner first. Very handy to have locally when your washing machine is bust (and apparently it's supposed to be more environmentally friendly to share resources like these).

But although it makes sense in theory to combine the two trips, in practice it isn't half knackering doing laundry and grocery shopping in the same afternoon and you may need a long recovery period if you try it! It gets bl*y hot in this launderette, if you're sitting around waiting for stuff to dry, so be prepared to take your coat off.
