I visited Zeitoon Cafe today for a professional lunch with two colleagues, and we were seated…read moreimmediately without a reservation. The space is very inviting, offering a cozy atmosphere with a mix of floor seating and booths that feels both comfortable and unique. Our waitress was fantastic--attentive without being intrusive, regularly refilling our cups and checking in to see if we needed anything. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary soup to start, which had a genuinely homemade, comforting feel. I ordered the Soltani, and it did not disappoint: the ground beef kabob was incredibly flavorful and practically melted in my mouth, while the steak was good, though slightly tough. The rice and grilled tomato were a perfect accompaniment known that tied the whole dish together nicely. Everyone in our group was very pleased with their meals, and I'll definitely be back and recommending Zeitoon Cafe to friends.

I really wanted to love this place. Actually, I called a month in advance to reserve a table…read morebecause it was a special family dinner. We traveled far. Walked in the place, it was empty. Half of the restaurant was being renovated. People were working on the remodel as we dined. I am sure it will be nice. We ordered quite a bit of food, what we got was the perplexing part. They brought a delicious barley soup, no explanation, but was nice. 3 of the 5 things we ordered were incorrect. I mean really? We were the only people in the restaurant! So many people checked on us to see if it was ok. I was embarrassed for them. The koobideh was fantastic but we ordered two mix- we really wanted to try the chicken. Fesenjun is delicious, I have never had with beef before, usually is chicken. The yogurt was good, needed a tad bit of salt. The gormeh sabzi never came, instead we got an eggplant curd, which was good but.... Overall good food but such a strange experience. We so bad wanted a great Persian family meal on a Friday night. Nonetheless, this place is a gem for the area. Try it, I hear they are adding Afghan food to their menu when the remodel is done.

Obviously from my rating u know how much I love this place. They have flash frozen tuna and hamachi. They have everything u need! I would have taken a photo of all the different poke I've made, but I would rather enjoy the moment than share something no one cares about. Stop taking pictures of your food!!! They have everything, even banana leaves. Crazy. Love this place. Oh and their hot food is great too.

I still go to other markets for certain items (like my favorite kimchi brand that H Mart doesn't sell) but I come here for everything else. It's insanely clean and bright and smells good inside, for those who care about such things. Their produce is fresh and well-stocked (though sometimes random things are very picked over like green onions). They have tons of variety in brands so I can find exactly which Korean/Thai/Chinese variety I've gotten used to. Very well stocked in the pantry aisle and a nice selection of kitchenware and household items, beauty products, gifts. The deli section is well stocked with ready-made kimbap and banchan. Big freezer and seafood section too. There is only a boba and K-beauty shop in the leased storefronts in the front of the market but hoping they attract some restaurants into the area soon like Chinatown. We need some good Asian food down south!

They have a good selection of spices, rice, ghee, beans, tahini, and Indian snack food. They have a refrigerated/frozen section with paneer and some meat, and a small amount of beauty products as well. Prices are reasonable, and if you do buy spices they are sold by the bag, so as long as you'll use it all they are a great deal. Most of the time it is the same guy at the cash register who helps me and he is really friendly, but yesterday I visited and there was no one out front, although I could hear people working in the back. A man came out and looked at me, but didn't say anything, and went right back to the stock room. I was actually looking for a specific spice, but ended up leaving empty handed because I couldn't find it (that's another thing, their organization is a bit haphazard, especially when it comes to the spices). This is the first time that's happened, but it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. I have no doubt I'll be back, but most likely I'll check other stores first in the future. Oh, and just a note, it is a small store, and on the weekends it can get packed. There is only one cash register, so if you see a lot of cars in the lot I'd come back, otherwise you might wait 15 or 20 minutes to check out.
