I did some digging online and found a very affordable Groupon for the service from Laura Grace's Beauty Bar. I read some positive reviews and decided to move ahead with purchasing the Groupon and setting the appointment. It has been ~4 weeks since I've had it done and I couldn't be happier with the results. As a child I was in an accident and had nearly 30 stitches in my head, going across my right eyebrow, causing it to grow half the length of my uninjured left eyebrow. As silly as it sounds, I have gone through endless amounts of teasing and bullying as a child/teen because of my uneven eyebrows. Therefore, as a teenager and now an adult I have done everything I can to improve the look of my brows with a whole array of makeup products, which never looked very natural or normal. The technician's demeanor was condescending, and she repeatedly complained about my skin being "too oily," which made me uncomfortable during what should have been a relaxing service. You only mentioned this after finishing my lashes, and you only tried to fix my lashes when I gave feedback with concern multiple times that my lashes looked way too full and dramatic. You never offered to fix my lashes to make them less full--it was only after I gave feedback asking if there was a way to make them less dramatic and if it was possible to remove some. **Your response was: "You're asking me if it's okay to remove your lashes?" with an attitude, and you said I booked a voluminous lash set. When did you ever mention that during the consultation when I clearly asked for a natural look with pictures? You didn't say that my request for a 'natural' look isn't achievable with your technique. If only you had mentioned that booking a classic full voluminous set wouldn't achieve the natural look I wanted and offered a different technique or attempted a different lash set, instead of ignoring my requests and confidently saying you could achieve the look I wanted based on the two pictures I showed you. I clearly said, "As long as my lashes look like either of these," for example.** Normally, during the initial consultation, lash technicians clearly explain what they can and cannot achieve. You said "I know what I'm doing" when I was explaining that I wanted a NATURAL look with clear pictures for example.
