Communication was lacking throughout the process, which made an already stressful situation more difficult. My mother returned to the property with important items missing in order to properly prepare and sell the home. A full vanity mirror attached to the bathroom wall was sold while decorative towels and shower curtains intentionally left behind were not. Additionally, furniture was moved in a way that left noticeable gouges in the walls. We were told that many of the larger items did not sell the first day and that there would be price reduction listings on various platforms to try and sell these additional items. Through my limited personal search I only saw one item listed and much of the furniture went for free the following day. I did not expect to make money in this estate sale. I understand specific promises cannot be made in this line of business since there are so many outside factors involved. However, we came home to a few hundred dollar home depot trip to buy a new mirror and paint along with an additional invoice for services. When contacted, we did receive a minor credit. Melanie expressed that she did not know about the vanity mirror and seemed to be off-site during the actual sale. Overall, the disconnect with communication, lack of oversight, missing item, and damages done to the property made this a frustrating experience.

He showed up on time on the day scheduled. He spent a lot of time taking care to cover everything with plastic that I didn't want painted. I really appreciate how careful he was with this step. He then put on a base coat and let that dry. Then he put on two more coats waiting for each coat to dry. Finally, he removed all the protective plastic and cleaned up. It took him and his helper all day to do my project. They worked steadily all day and I am pleased with the finished job. I would hire Rene again.

We're sharing…read moreour experience so that other consumers do not find themselves being taken advantage in the way that we have been. Tile by Design does not disclose either in writing, verbally, or on their website if specific tile is special order/non-refundable. When we placed the order for our tile, we specifically asked if the 10% overage in square footage was returnable. A Tile by Design employee told us that it was in fact returnable. Additionally, none of the paperwork we receive, including the receipt, said that the tile was special order/non-refundable. After receiving the tile, we discovered that it was full of scratches, divots, pin holes, air bubbles, and chipped edges. When attempting to return the tile, they would not accept. They told us the only way we could return the tile was if we paid for a shipping and restocking fee, which resulted in 40% of the overall purchase. We even offered to share the return costs by suggesting 20% each and they refused. Their lack of integrity for both the quality of their product and treatment of their customers is unacceptable. We encourage all consumers to take your business elsewhere.

I was impressed that the sales person responded to my message quickly, and to setup a time to come to my house to give me a quote. He (Curt Pederson) was timely, communicative, and gave me several options that were priced separately. Curt gave me written quote and a three year warranty on the paint job. The work was done in the timeframe promised and I was impressed that the two painters really took the time necessary to remove the old paint, scrape, and reglaze carefully. They primed and did two coats of paint and the finished product looks really good. They also did an excellent clean-up when the job was completed. All in all, this was a very good experience.

Carpet was installed 4/16/25. A installer from South America worked from 11:30am until 550pm, non-stop! I had a large living room, a 4 door hallway and a bedroom. The installer (Milo) only stopped for a bathroom break! He was a work horse! and only 5'1"! My carpet was extra plush, so harder to work with. Clean up was excellent. Very happy with the experience.
