When I saw the work, I was shocked by how sloppy, rushed, and low quality it looked. This was not professional work and not something any business should hand to a customer. I explained that I was unhappy with the quality and asked for my money back because I could not use this canvas for my client. Instead of trying to fix the problem, they refused and kept saying, "This is how we do it," and that they already spent time, labor, and materials on it. They acted like there was nothing wrong with the work at all. What made the experience even worse was the attitude and disrespect. Instead of helping or apologizing, I was told to leave the store. I also took photos of the canvas so people can judge the quality for themselves. I would not recommend this place if you expect professionalism, quality workmanship, or respectful customer service.

From a design perspective, Ave. Six offers me the ability to created unique designs for my clients by providing what I call a "great foundation" to build on. For example, the wood plank floor in the East Stage would cost $1000's of dollars to install in a raw stage. By installing sets on this ready made floor, I can put my clients art budget towards other design elements more critical to their project. This also holds true for larger sets when I need to incorporate their standing set walls into my designs. Ave Six has great logistics (location, parking, truck space, easy load-in) They also have an exceptionally accommodating and wonderful staff whose goal is to help productions in their work, not hinder them. For example, on my last shoot there I was allowed to use Ave. Six backdrops in my designs from one of their stages not rented by the production company because it wasn't booked by anyone else. Ave. Six Studios is a great, unique stage facility and an invaluable resource for Art Directors looking to deliver the most for their clients. The studios aren't very big but they are functional. One studio has a U-shaped Cyc wall and an overhead lighting grid and the other studio has a basic lighting grid as well. Practically every inch of this place is straight out of your Pinterest aspirational decor board. Even the bathrooms are gorgeous (gold toilets, I kid you not)! The exterior walls are instagram worthy as well. There is also a secure gated parking lot with direct access to the studio for easy load out and they have equipment and even some set pieces that you can rent. In addition to being beautiful this studio is CLEAN. The bathrooms are clean, the kitchen is clean, the Cyc wall is flawless, etc. There are makeup stations with lighted mirrors though they are a bit short, better suited for talent doing their own makeup than for a makeup artist to use as a station. TLDR; this studio is beautiful, classy and functional. If you have clients that you want to really impress then this is the space to rent for your photoshoot or event.

You walk through the alley and you go on the specific room your class is in. There's an office to walk into and the receptionist is there with info and check in. I like how there was a wifi that I could connect to for free. My class was in the Diamond Studio room and it was nice, a medium-sized dance studio that held a good 10-15 of us well. It got very hot as we danced but thankfully the AC actually blasted very well. I enjoyed it and had a good experience. For parking, it's either street or you can try driving inside the alley to go in the lot (it's a bit narrow though so it's only one car at a time)
