Don't let the online contract scare you. These guys are very honest with their price and extremely professional. Wil did a fantastic job installing my custom sign on the back window of my car. This shop can produce ADA Title 24 signs the same day! This is the only shop I found that can do this locally. Julie seems to have all the answers making inspections a breeze to pass as well. Heres my experience. Called up-asked about plaques. The man told me he didnt know about them," Julie does". I say "can you ask Julie to call me when she can". He says.."well she is usually busy, so it doesn't usually work that way" What? So the guy answering the phone, doesnt know the basics about the business. OK-but he says theres no need for him to take my number and have Julie call back, since Julie is busy. Man, that place must do some business to be run that way. read more

Incredibly rude customer service. I really don't understand the good reviews written here. Julie was rude with a crappy attitude to me over the phone. Not the least professional or decent on the phone. I asked for an estimate on a small simple sign that normally costs less the $10 from the sign shop I use in Van Nuys, she quoted it at three times the cost. No way would I give this shop an order. I love supporting local small businesses but customer service is key. No thanks! Worth my time to drive to the other sign shop. read more

I have worked with the Sign Studio for several years now. I have always had excellent service. My latest job for them involved a big banner for a golf tournament, the tee sponsor signs and a couple other table top signs. I was not expecting the project to be finished so quickly, but they really pulled out all the stops for me. The tournament isn't for another week and I have all the signage already. I've seen their other work too, and it's top-notch. I needed to have a sign made and it was my first time ordering something like that, hence I didn't know much about the options and pricing. Julie emailed me the quotes of different material options promptly and clearly, which is exactly what I needed in order to make the decision. This may seem to be nothing special, but other shops I tried just didn't seem to care about my small job or wouldn't call me back to give me the quote until I called and called. When discussing about what I needed, they tried to help me to get good final result, rather than just trying to get my money like some other shops did. Julie's price was competitive, and when I realized I needed the sign to be a little bigger, Julie didn't charge me extra for that. On the day of picking up the sign, she had someone stay late after they've closed to wait for me. This is the kind of a local business I'd like to go to, instead of ordering online and can't see the actual products. I work for a company in Santa Monica and we are in need of a sign for our newly remodeled building. When I called, I believe I spoke to Julie. She was nice at first but when asking her questions she quickly became what seemed to me irritated because I was unclear on the type of lettering etc. Um sorry, I was calling on behalf of my boss who gave me very little information, nor do I know sign lingo. Any way, she took my information etc and said she would give me a call back. No call back for the rest of the day. Ok... I call the next morning. Spoke to a nice gentleman named Brian who tried to get me in touch with her but of course she was on the other line with a client. Ok, fine, understandable. (although by the length of the pause I feel it was the classic "Tell them I am on the other line excuse because she didn't want to talk to me) Brian takes my information and tells me she will give me a call back. Not five minutes after I hung up I get an email stating: Hi Natacha: The Sign Studio will not be bidding on this job. At this time, Santa Monica is too far for us when there is so much work locally. In these times I'm glad that your company has work and is able to pick and choose your projects and prospective customers with a non caring attitude- I guess my business for a sign for a 15,000 sqft building is just to small to bother with. Good to know. Next time if you if an area is to far state that on the initial phone call, don't take down the potential customer's information and say they will receive a call back. I used the sign studio for four things: A banner for my business which you can see on my you-tube video if you go to www.maxineflam.com and click videos, it is the second one down. They made business cards, put the name of my business in the back window of my car and finally magnetic signs for the driver and passenger doors. Everything came out top notch quality. The only problem is the first set of magnetic signs were too big for the door but they redid them quickly and without a problem.
