The pizza is absolutely amazing. The wings are the best around. Nice to have a Pizza place that delivers in northern Garrard.

Both dishes were hot, flavorful and served with good bread. Prices were very reasonable and the portions were just right. We both finished our meals and were full. This WAS a favorite but, for some reason has really declined during our last two visits. Tonight…read morethere were four (4) of us -- upon arrival, they had no record of our reservation which was done (AND CONFIRMED) last week via FB Messenger. Nonetheless, they were able to accommodate us with only a brief wait -- overall, not a big deal. Service was average at best. Server was polite but did not write down our orders which meant coming back to confirm -- both drinks and food several times. We always enjoyed the pizza here so when we inquired about the pizza menu, none was provided but the server "rattled off" three pizza options. Not a good impression since, once we got a menu from the manager, there were plenty of choices. Took, what seemed like, forever to get drinks -- still not sure if there was actually a bartender or if the servers were handling the drinks. MUSIC IS INSANELY LOUD!!! TERRIBLE! Food was mediocre -- it used to be off the charts fantastic. Shrimp and Grits (two orders) were floating in grease from the onions and peppers -- it was awful. Pasta Alfredo, with shrimp and chicken was very good! Salmon with risotto was just okay. Long story short -- this place used to be fantastic, an absolute no brainer to visit regularly. But after three recent visits, we'll take a year or two off until they get their act together.

You're a restaurant in the business of hospitality, right? Perhaps share that with your employee named Ellie, who took it upon herself to nastily and aggressively berate my sister this evening. Let me paint a picture for you. Our party dined with you in observance of three family birthdays (my sister's being one of them) and brought a homemade cake to enjoy, just as we did last year when we reserved the vault room. Imagine our surprise when, upon receiving the checks, we were charged a $25 "cake cutting fee." I realize that's just semantics, like a "corkage fee," but maybe call it something else when the servers do no such thing. I digress. When questioned by my sister about the charge, Ellie told her in no uncertain terms that the cake cutting fee was clearly posted "on the door, the menu, and the website." Multiple members of our party thoroughly checked all three places and found it stated NOWHERE. The audacity! How rude and misinformed can one person be? Needless to say, an otherwise pleasant experience was instantly and wholly ruined by one person's lack of professionalism and tact. I've never had a bad experience at Copper & Oak, so I'm not sure what's gone wrong at La Cosa Nostra, but none of my meals there have come close by comparison. And you can be assured I'll never spend my hard earned money there again; in fact, I'll be hesitant to support Copper & Oak by mere association. And I'll be quick to caution others regarding both establishments. I'll be curious to see if this email is ignored (my prediction) or handled in a timely, professional manner. And even more curious to see - if acknowledged - how you intend to remedy the situation. Oh, and you might consider updating the website, as you highlight both spaghetti and meatballs and saltimbocca, but serve neither."

Absolutely adorable spot for Italian in Versailles!…read more I met up with some friend here for a girls dinner and luckily it was nice enough to be seated on the patio. We started with the arancini as well as the house bread that's served after you're seated- both super tasty. I'm not a huge pasta fan so I ordered a grilled romaine salad (that may be seasonal because I no longer see it on the menu). I added salmon and it was great! Our service was great and I definitely think Vallozzi's is worth the drive from Lexington!

My wife points out Vallozzi's as we were walking back to the car, and we decided to try. We walked in and immediate love the vibe. The restaurant is gorgeous! And they were busy too. We walked up to see if we could get a table. She asked if we had a reservation and we didn't. She said they were totally booked. We were bummed but said thank you and agreed we'd come back when we did. As we were leaving, the hostess chased us down and asked if we still wanted to grab dinner, of course we said yes ...... and so began our dining journey with Vallozzis! Ashley as was our server and we took her recommendations on just about everything! The menu is varied with plenty of options. We started with the prosciutto plate and recommended wine - Teresa got the Angel Rose and I chose the Hall Chardonnay. Perfect. Our daughter had a Sprite, just to put that out there. Our daughter got the manicotti which looked fab! My wife got the Parma, and I got the special beef filet ravioli. Everything was prepared perfectly and we could not have been better service. Thanks Ashley! The ambiance is quite charming and you'll feel very comfortable being here! We needed to get dessert of course so we chose the banana tiramisu and got two of them to go! No disappointment at all. Really enjoyed our time and dining experience here and we'll definitely be back. There's too much on that fabulous menu to try, not yo come back and back and back. Check out Vallozzis! Make sure to get a reservation just to be safe. We will too!

After passing it many times, curiosity led the Fat Man and his wife to Mama Devechio's Pizzeria in…read moredowntown Stanford, Kentucky, known for its Neapolitan-style, stone-fired pizzas made with local ingredients. We decided to try a couple of different pies to see what this place had to offer. We started with The Kentuscany. This pizza was made with smoked pork, goat cheese, sweet red onions, and bourbon sorghum reduction. The crust had a great chew, texture, and crunch. There is a great buttery, salty flavor that melts in your mouth. The pork was dry but had good taste and some smoky notes. The red onion adds crunch, while the goat cheese has an incredible salty creaminess that the sorghum reduction mellows out and cuts through with its sweetness. The next pizza we sampled was a Cheese pizza with pepperoni, beef, and banana peppers. Once again, the crust was phenomenal with a great crunch, buttery flavor, and chew. The cup pepperoni was mild in spice with good beef flavor. The beef had a good, mellow taste, but it was dry and overcooked. The banana peppers add a great acid from the vinegar, but the cheese didn't have the melty, ooey-gooey stretch that pizza should have, almost like the cheese was out of a bag. Mama's also offers a Savor Flight of their sauces or dips. We tried the Marinara, Tuscany Ranch, Calabrian Chili Ceaser, and Pesto. The ranch was very thick, fresh, and dill-forward, with a cooling balance and a hint of salt. This was some of the best homemade ranch that I have ever had. The chili was salty, with a lot of heat on the backend, and the Parmesan cheese added texture. The marinara was thick and chunky, with delicious tomato flavor. The pesto was vibrant green, chunky, fresh, and had great flavor and texture from the pine nuts. However, all of the sauces were served cold. The ranch and Calabrian Chili were fine that way, but the marinara and pesto should have been served warm. Mama's features a small menu of pizzas, salads, sandwiches, breadsticks, and desserts, plus a full bar with beer and wine. The Fat Man says that Mama Devechio's Pizzeria is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.

Our group of three had fun ordering three pizzas and mixing and matching. I had the very unique "Kentuscany," made with smoked pork, goat cheese, sweet red onions, and house-made bourbon sorghum reduction. A little sweet for me (no surprise there), but I appreciated the flavors. Another member of our group had the La Cicciona, made with ground beef, Italian sausage, ham, and pepperoni. I felt this pie could have used a little more seasoning. Another peep had the pesto di pollo, made with pesto, roasted chicken, artichoke hearts, red onions, and pine nuts. I'm not a fan of these types of pizzas, but this one was quite flavorful. I really appreciated it. Savory and delicious. They also have fungi (mushroom) pizzas, pepperoni, veggie, plain cheese pizzas. You can also make your own pizzas with various toppings. Anti-pasta includes: meatballs, spicy kale cesar salad, spaghetti. They have wine and cocktails as well. I had the sidecar, made with brandy, lemon juice, and orange liqueur. Very refreshing, a little on the sweet and thick side. Attentive service.
