A girl greets me and says it's going to be a few minutes if I want to look around As I am waiting she pulls out every album and checks them. A few minutes later this dude looks through my albums. She says to the other employee "most of them look okay" He Hands one back to me and offers me $5. I was so confused and responded I don't know what you're talking about I'm just trying to buy these. They both apologized and looked shocked. Then when she rings me out she charged me $1 for the .25 cent record he refused to take! It's just odd they both downgraded the albums and then argued about the priceI was trying to BUY from them. Anyway I still bought them. Support Local Businesses.

If you wanna find something that's brand new and still sealed maybe they have it you probably can get it at a better price elsewhere... But if you're looking for used records definitely avoid this store!! Dishonest and if you bring up There shortcomings they attack you online. They never admitted to their mistake and yes they did offer $1.25 refund and they were pretty snarky in their message but it's really the point of the matter it's not the value of the record it's the fact that even visually someone would have to have quite quite the imagination or be on LSD to think that this record was Fiji Plus was scratches and scuffs all through it writing on the label and worn out label are you kidding me? Then you will know actual prices items are worth based on the real money paid. Basing your items on what is currently for sale on eBay is no intelligent source since many sellers type in all sorts of delusional prices. This location offers a rather specific genre focus we found out, a lot of unique and collector centric vinyl with a mostly broad selection of hard rock, classic, and alternative, little for us budget stuck young kids. But would certainly be exciting for the old fashioned purist devoted to the analogue format and established names, a smattering of new artists as well gave us pause but eventually realized upon inquiry the other store is the bigger and more token forward for the younger generation. I still had a fun time listening to the owner speak in a comic book styled script going full nerd on music gossip with a customer. There's a timeless appeal to the days of yore here served up for both ears.

I can always pretty much guarantee that when I listen to or hear of some random band whose album I'm sure I'll never be able to find, Finders will have that release waiting contentedly for me. Their vinyl selection is growing by leaps and bounds as the months move along, as well. Additionally, I specifically appreciate the fact that they give ample attention to genres such as classical, world, and electronic music - good stuff, and nice that I can find Tinariwen and Ali Farke Toure as easily as I can something in Sub Pop. Their used section is great, too, vaulting wildly down one whole wall of the store - my only complaint with the section on the whole is that its shelves stretch up a good ways and the CDs are stored horizontally (as is normal, I know, I know). This makes reading the titles on most of the shelves frankly overwhelming, to be honest, and on the upper shelves, nearly impossible. A mild downer, however, in what overall is a great store to purchase music from. Dangerously good.

I have been disappointed 4/5 times because I show up when the website AND the had written sign on the door say they are open, but instead they are closed... I think this is the last time I make the trip just to be met with a locked door. I have no problem with making your own hours, but when you do make your own hours, stick to them because I know I'm not the only comic book junkie that drives a distance to shop!

Initial review after one visit is 4 stars...although honestly I'm not too impressed with some…read morethings, overall there was a very strong selection. What made me cringe? It made me feel like a standard comic book shop you see on tv - a very sexist promotion of sexualized women. In the poster section, there's a gorgeous Psyloche poster...except for how it tries to center and show off her butt and Venus mound with just a slim piece of fabric. There are other hyper sexualized posters of women in comics...and then real women scantily clad like I'm in a teenage boy's (or drunken frat guy's) room. Next to the posters is a drawn pin-up against 'censorship' with the woman's nipples poking out so hard it could take an eye out. By the new comics, there's more drawn pin-up art. Like...so skeevey and clearly the owner doesn't realize how many women read comics? U G H. The good parts that made it so I won't nuke this review (so tempting tho): - it's locally owned - located in sylvania which doesn't have that much - walls are covered with back issues, art, and many collectible toys. - bins and bins of older comics - good variety of new comics There does seem to be a lot of focus on DC/Marvel, but there are some other publishers located. I'll return again to give it another try; I was there for 20 minutes and still hadn't looked at everything. But if I lived here, I would not be a regular subscriber, because the environment is not friendly to me.
