We missed so many shops in Michigan because they wouldn't allow well behaved dogs! Their loss! The owner, Sabrina, is as sweet as her shop! There are SO many wonderful things at reasonable prices and the place is bigger than it looks! It's neat, tidy, and well organized. My only complaint is that it is over 2 hours from where I live! I found a sweet artist print that I took home but had to pass on a furniture piece that we didn't have room for! Don't miss this one if you love antiques, collectibles or home decor!! I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Anyway, without further ado, my review of Touches of Time Antique Mall: I love antiques! I love anything that's old, any thing that reminds me of the past. My favorite subject growing up was history... still is one of my favorite types of book to read. I just feel like I was born in the wrong time. More over, one of my favorite hobbies is shopping for home decor. I love making my home more beautiful and comfortable. Antique stores, which combine both my love of old things and my love of decor... is one of my favorite types of store to shop in. Touches of Time, is one of the better antique stores I have been to and has become one of my favorite stores in my new home town of Van Wert. I have come several times already. I have bought items for myself including beer steins, antique candle holders, and other items. I bought my friend apple some cute gifts from here, that she loved. I also came here during the 2020 Van Wert Chocolate Walk, which they were involved to giving out free chocolate. This store is just wonderful, it has items of all kinds: Christmas decorations, books, furniture, collectibles, tools, a huge grandfather clock, coins, etc. Come here often because there is always sometime new and interesting here to find. Place is huge, three floors for you to explore! What more can I say about it, except that you need to come check it out!

I stumbled upon this store way back in February/March during the Van Wert Chocolate Walk. It was on of the stops and the moment I walked in the store, i gave an audible gasp. This place was beautiful! The decor was amazing! I was immediately imagining how it would look like in the house i was buying. I knew at that moment this store was dangerous... because it would separate me from my money in no time! I spoke with the owner of the store, Joanne, when i found out that they also did drapes. My new home came with some awfully garish drapes... purple drapes!?!?! Black drapes for a dining room? Ridiculous! I needed some new drapes and Joanne promised me she would show me some great options. She came to my new home and measured, she came up with someone wonderful ideas. During this time i also found out she was an interior designer. I just hired her to help me decorate the home and get me new drapes and decor to make my home beautiful. This was a great decision! Joanne has impeccable taste! She listens and understands the type of style her customers have... she then takes that and brings pieces that tastefully use that style to adorn and enrich your home. Thanksgiving weekend it snowed inch or so. They plowed. Two more times after that last being first week of December. Get bill for 2x one November and one December. Called again. " yeah, yeah, we got you down for NO snow removal " January 2 they come again with 1/2inch snow. They say they take pictures before and after. I'm done with them.
