This location offers a rather specific genre focus we found out, a lot of unique and collector centric vinyl with a mostly broad selection of hard rock, classic, and alternative, little for us budget stuck young kids. But would certainly be exciting for the old fashioned purist devoted to the analogue format and established names, a smattering of new artists as well gave us pause but eventually realized upon inquiry the other store is the bigger and more token forward for the younger generation. I still had a fun time listening to the owner speak in a comic book styled script going full nerd on music gossip with a customer. They also have current music including some that is a little harder to come by sometimes (and some very niche stuff as well), some anime and manga, and various other things and collectibles (i.e. band shirts, figurines). The staff is nice enough, the location is now much bigger than it used to be as well as they moved to another spot in the mall across from where they had been, and the prices can vary from really good to very marked up. If you are a collector and want authentic stuff be warned they do have a lot of bootleg DVDs mostly when it comes to anime and television shows specifically. If the owners/staff disagree with this then I apologize, I do not mean to defame or damage your business - this is strictly my personal opinion as a fan collector of these things with decades of my own research that I personally believe, NOT a factual proven statement from an authority on the subject, and readers of this review can and should take this as nothing more than the view of an unofficial fan purchaser who could be completely mistaken. My other, and probably biggest issue, is that they had marijuana stuff for sale next to a rack of children's Disney movies. Perhaps it won't stay that way (and possibly has even been removed/moved by now), but they were both on solid fixtures and out for sale near the back of the store. I have a problem with this stuff being in the store at all to begin with (and am not sure it's even entirely legal to have in Ohio for sale in a store like that), but it's really irresponsible and distasteful to have it next to what kids would be interested in and makes me question the owners decisions. If you bring your children just keep an eye on them the whole time so they don't have to see this stuff or get a chance to interact with it. While I point out two negatives that may be big depending on you personally, I still actually really like this place and the staff are, again, very nice so I don't wish to discourage people from visiting. There's a lot of cool items, a lot of rare items, a lot of popular typical things you'd expect...and all of it is bundled up in a store straight out of the mid 90s - a type of store I, personally, really miss. I wish the best for them and will, even with said issues, keep coming back and absolutely recommend checking it out if you're ever at the mall.

I can always pretty much guarantee that when I listen to or hear of some random band whose album I'm sure I'll never be able to find, Finders will have that release waiting contentedly for me. Their vinyl selection is growing by leaps and bounds as the months move along, as well. Additionally, I specifically appreciate the fact that they give ample attention to genres such as classical, world, and electronic music - good stuff, and nice that I can find Tinariwen and Ali Farke Toure as easily as I can something in Sub Pop. Their used section is great, too, vaulting wildly down one whole wall of the store - my only complaint with the section on the whole is that its shelves stretch up a good ways and the CDs are stored horizontally (as is normal, I know, I know). This makes reading the titles on most of the shelves frankly overwhelming, to be honest, and on the upper shelves, nearly impossible. A mild downer, however, in what overall is a great store to purchase music from. Dangerously good.

The week of January 11th, 2021 when I entered the store I was shocked to see owners (or I think they are) not wearing masks. I realize for some people this is a personal choice yet when one is running a business and elect not to wear a mask is unsetteling. One other employee was there and she never wore a mask. At that point I should have left the items I intended to purchase yet I thought I would distance myself. Then there were a small family of customers that weren't wearing masks either! Went to the counter to pay, used the hand sanitizer that was on the counter and the lady checking me out scolded me as the sanitize was runny and got on a newspaper! Excuse me, not my fault the stuff was like water. I don't like wearing a mask yet with a spouce with COPD and taking care of a 92 year old mother in law, I don't have a choice. Plus I'm a 70 year old that does not want to get COVID. I will never set foot in that store again. Instead I'll make the short drive to MI where store owners adhere to the requirements. Product wise it's a nice store with variety. Take your chances entering this establishment. My husband loved going through their old LP records yet there are too many other antique stores in the area that sell them too.
