It was easy to schedule appointments, especially if there is an emergency - they were always able to get me in on the same day. It was mainly for wires poking into my cheeks since your teeth move during the process so it's normal. I was able to schedule appointments at the beginning or end of the day since that worked better with my schedule. I'd go in about every 4-6 weeks each time for adjustments. The doctors and staff are all friendly and nice. For potential customers, I would avoid getting crowns prior to getting braces. Chances of needing to redo crowns are high.. at least for my own experience. When they take off your brackets or metal bands (usually on molars), they might chip your crowns with their tools. Crowns are not cheap so save yourself some money and stick with fillings until you're done with your braces if possible. Overall I'm very happy with my newly aligned teeth! These orthodontists know what they're doing and does the best job ever! Thank you! :)

UPDATE Dec 18, 2024 My son is a patient for the past 9…read moremonths. Absolutely would NOT recommend. My daughter had braces for 4 years, was a patient of Haeger Orthodontics (Kent/Maple Valley) and this place is night and day in comparison. We were absolutely spoiled with Haeger. Pristera does not open until 8am (so never a before school option), they will not schedule appointments out so if we need to cancel or reschedule it is usually another month wait. They charge for EVERY broken bracket - for kids braces. The cost of son's broken brackets alone by the time we are done will probably be another $1k. There are a lot of very young newer in career assistants and the doctor does not come out (for me anyway) to ever give me an update on my son's progress. Office staff are not friendly. The office in Renton is old, dingy and not cozy at all. Not even coffee or water available while parents wait. Haeger's had fresh baked cookies, Keurig machine, water bottles, ice cream in the summer, iPads and nice clean books for kids waiting, magazines for parents, monthly contests like spirit week where kids could collect coins to cash in at the end of treatment for gifts cards. This place is the same price with none of the above. I'm not even sure they have in office WiFi. I rather sit in my car and use my hotspot. If I wasn't locked into a contract I would absolutely switch to another provider. April 2024 First impression - office lobby (Renton) is dated and dingy. Not even a coffee/water station for parents waiting. 5% discount for paying in full is is a poor discount, most other orthos offered at least 10%. After committing and signing the contract I immediately began having regrets. At the first appointment the doctor and techs did not sound confident in my son's treatment plan. They kept saying we'll try to correct, try to fix. For $7k I was expecting them to be saying we are going to fix his teeth and give him the smile he wants! It's a lot of money to be a gamble, I'd much rather you be honest and say you can either fix his teeth or not. Will update as treatment begins.

I needed a file from their records for my dentist. ==== original 2023 review ==== Got my braces off today and I had a great experience with Renton Orthodontics. Here is some of what I liked: - I was able to get an initial visit and quote scheduled quickly. The 2 other orthodontists that I got estimates from both had many weeks wait before the initial visit, which I took as a bad sign. - Every appointment that started on time or ahead of time. - Office is staffed every day of the week, although some days were only one assistant to handle unexpected needs. It was easy to schedule my visits around my working time constraints. When I needed something suddenly, I was able to go in on the non-appointment days. - I liked the payment option with a discount for paying in full in advance. - The office is run very efficiently. The staff seem highly competent with an upbeat can-do outlook. - Dr. Kuo and the assistants were always keen to answer questions thoroughly. - I was given several alternatives for treatment, and some alternatives during treatments. When aligners did not work for me for an unexpected reason, I was able to change to braces. - Results look really good! They are always on top of our appointments and remind us of them day of. If something goes wrong, they are quick to fit us in to fix the problem. We like them so much that we are on our third kid getting braces with Kirby. They even give the kids a nice big package of assorted candy they couldn't eat with braces on, after they get their braces off. Just really love this place!! And I recommend anyone, any age to get braces through one of Kirbys locations. They treat you like family!
