I had LASIK done about two weeks ago and I could not be happier! I don't normally leave reviews, but I just had to for LasikPlus. I cannot thank Dr. Eugene Smith, Dr. Patel, and their entire staff for making it such a pleasant experience! From the moment you walk in the door everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions at the consultation and didn't put any pressure into my decision. On the day of my procedure I was feeling very nervous, I mean it IS my eyes, but everyone had excellent bedside manner. The procedure itself is pain free, they give you numbing drops so you don't feel a thing. I've had some light sensitivity and dryness since, but following the after care instructions greatly reduces the discomfort. When I went in for my follow-up my vision was better than perfect, it was 20/15. Coming from someone whose worn high prescription glasses since the third grade, I can't tell you how much my life has changed. I can see when I'm driving, working, and even shaving in the shower. HA! I still reach for my glasses in the morning and have these little ahah moments throughout the day. I had lasik on one eye just 3 days ago, and my vision is perfect! I was ready to get new glasses and decided I would check out lasik instead. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it, and I was naturally nervous about letting someone cut my eyes with a laser. So I went to the free consultation appointment just to get more information. The staff was so professional, courteous, and helpful that I was blown away. They gave me all the information I needed with no pressure to commit to the procedure. They made me feel totally comfortable with my decision to get lasik. Dr. Eugene Smith did my procedure, and he was equally professional and super nice. The actual surgery was VERY quick and only slightly uncomfortable. And after it was over, I felt just fine. I went home, took a nap, woke up and felt surprisingly good. I went to get a pedicure and came home and watched a movie - easiest recovery ever! I'm not even sure I have the words to express my gratitude to Dr. Eugene Smith, Dr. Patel and the entire caring staff at Lasik Plus at Galleria. I had Lasik last Saturday, went home took a nap, and woke up being able to see the television AND the computer without glasses! I'm seeing better now at 61 years old than I did in 7th grade when I started wearing glasses. I wore contacts for 35 years, then went back to glasses about a year ago. I hated wearing glasses, but was so unhappy with multi-focal contacts. While I didn't get too excited about having eye surgery, I was so tired of not being able to see clearly that I scheduled an appointment. This entire staff is incredible. They know how to make their patients feel completely comfortable. More than that -- they make you feel excited about the life changing experience! I went to LasikPlus because I was having trouble seeing at night. I had a prior lasik experienced in November 2014 with a different doctor and had complained about my blurry vision at night after the initial 3 months of expected halos and blurry vision. I was given restasis and told that it's just dry eye syndrome. I later followed up with my primary eye care physician and he said that I have an astigmatism. After several conversations with the doctor and his staff that perform my initial lasik procedure, I decided to take advantage of the free consultation at LasikPlus. Dr. Smith, Dr. Patel, and his entire staff is so professional, courteous, and showed a genuine concern for me and my happiness with the procedure and outcome. After researching for many years I finally decided to pursue getting the procedure on my eyes. Its only been 24 hours and I am very happy that I decided to get the procedure. There has been minimal discomfort mainly from constantly putting drops on my eyes for healing purposes. The procedure itself, yesterday took about 10 minutes. When I went in for consultation I did not expect to be able to get a schedule date so quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to get the surgery. If you are thinking about doing it, please do your research on your own but the staff at Lasikplus Galleria in Atlanta do a great job of answering all of your questions. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Dr. Smith did my procedure and he followed up with a phone call last night to ensure I was doing well. Pleasantly surprised with the personal touch. I would recommend this location if you are looking at vision correction. Results can vary but I am very happy with mine. read more

I recently had laser eye surgery here and was initially very nervous (understandably so)! However, the staff was incredibly friendly and everyone made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. The environment is comfortable, clean, parking was very easy and the office couldn't have been easier to locate. The surgery itself was quick and simple. The OR is cold (for sterility) so wear warm clothes! I was a lot more anxious than necessary. Dr. Smith was great, professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire procedure. Additionally, Dr. Smith personally called to see how I was doing the evening of my surgery. I would highly recommend having your laser eye surgery done here. A very experienced staff and surgeon (85,000+ eye surgeries!) HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I could not be more pleased with my LASIK surgery at lasik plus. The staff and Dr. Patel were all fantastic, comforting, and kind. But more importantly, Dr. Eugene Smith was such an incredible doctor throughout the entire process. There was an issue with one of the lasers during my procedure (which was no fault of his own or the staff), and he realized that it was not safe to proceed. I went back the following morning to finish it up and was done within 15 minutes max. A doctor's true abilities shine when faced with obstacles more-so than when everything works out as planned because it shows how he or she handles, manages, and fixes complications. Not only did Dr. Smith put my safety before everything, but he also checked up on me multiple times with incredible care and concern, was present for my follow up, and performed my surgery perfectly. This Lasik center was absolutely amazing. I got lasik 3 days ago, and my eyes feel great. Everyone who worked there was extremely nice and caring, they answered all my questions and didn't mind helping out. Dr. Patel did my consultation and was extremely nice and answered all my questions, and made me feel more comfortable about the surgery. Dr. Smith did my lasik surgery, and that guy is a miracle worker. He is extremely kind, and very thorough, he did the surgery perfectly, I had no problems the day of or after the surgery at all. My eyes felt great, and the night after I had surgery, he called to make sure I was feeling OK and asked if I had any questions. Had done Lasik at AtlVI 8+ or - yrs. ago. Although I asked for distance acuity for both eyes Dr A gave me mono vision. Through time my left eye (dominant eye) returned to distance acuity, my right eye to focus about 20 feet out, it became useless. Because of the previous Lasik, Dr Smith and His excellent team recommended the latest in PRK procedure. I went ahead and am on my way to having both eyes for far acuity. Doctor Smith is truly an excellent surgeon, for with all the warnings of pain , there was none. Trick is to use the eye drops to keep lens bandaid hydrated and if looking to your sides move your head not your eyes. Its also incredible that after 8 years LasikPlus cost around 1000$ less , maybe its because the other Dr is also plastic surgeon. read more

Wow! LasikPlus is amazing. The staff is friendly from the beginning to the end. I was very nervous for my consultation and surgery and they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The staff is supportive and respectful. Their facility is clean and comfortable. I could not say enough positive things. Extra shout out to John. He was absolutely fantastic. i was remcommended to this clinic by various coworkers and friends. I had another consultation at another lasik clinic but I decided to come back to lasik plus because of their staff and doctor. Dr. smith is ranked in the top 5 in the country and best in GA! He'll answer any questions and provide you with his cell phone in case you have any questions after the procedure. the staff is great as well. very helpful and the way they run the tests on you give you a sense of confidense. The staff at Galleria is amazing and very friendly and eager to assist. Karen the receptionist greeted me with a warm friendly smile. I arrived at my designated appointment time and Mona assisted immediately with the evaluation for the lasik procedure. Mona also advised me that I could have my procedure done the same day. The idea knowing I can have my procedure done the same of my evaluation is truly amazing because this a surgery I have wanted and need for years. They took very good care of my daughters eyes. I remember the drive home from the procedure, daughter says "hey, I can see blades of grass!". That moment I realized that I underestimated her vision challenges, and secondly, what a great job LasikPlus did. As a nervous father the doctor was very understanding and allowed me to be in the room were the procedure was to take place to video the event. Although this happened back back in 2017, thanks to LasikPlus my daughter will be graduating from nursing school as a RN in 2022. If you want the best Lasik outcome, in my opinion, it may be a mistake to go anywhere else. read more

It's been 3 months since i had lasik and i have better than perfect vision! Everyone here is so friendly. The staff is great at making sure you understand every step of the process. The office is clean and inviting, parking in easy. Lastly, Dr. Smith is amazing. While I wasn't a good fit for Lasik, once that was determined they did not just rush me out of the office. Dr. Wright still saw me and conducted a thorough exam of my eyes. He took time to go over with me my eye health. I was very impressed that they still took a caring attitude and time with me even though I wasn't going to go ahead with the procedure. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one today after this experience. The other staff there that I dealt with were very friendly and professional as well. LASIK Plus staff have been wonderful. The procedure was quick and I had very little down time. I completed all of my follow up visits, which were completed in a timely manner. When I started developing an eye allergy, the staff treated me quickly. I was disappointed that the office closest to my home was closed, which forced me to drive further away for my visits. Despite the drive, the overall experience has been positive. I have had 20/15 vision since my procedure and it has almost been a year. I was told I needed the PRK surgery, which scared me a little because of the recovery and what it entailed (I was looking forward to the one day recovery). But Dr. Smith and the office staff were so welcoming and made sure I was comfortable. The surgery was quick and painless. I went there because a friend of mine had her surgery there, but I had been thinking of doing the surgery for years. I have worn contacts over 30 years. Started having trouble with my contacts, and opted to get Lasik done. So glad I chose Lasik Plus. Everyone was very nice. Answered all of my questions. They were very patient with me and very informative. I was very nervous and everyone was very supportive. This has been one of the best things I've experienced in my life! Dr. Smith and his staff were professional, helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure that I understood every aspect of the procedure. They even went so far as to take a good twenty minutes to make sure I understood all of the potential risks. I felt well cared for and, right after the procedure, my vision was better than perfect.
