I had to miss a wedding I was a bridesmaids for since I had this bacterial infection. I messaged Mariko informing her that this happened and asked politely to get refunded and to try different way to make her practice more sanitary. Her response was far less than satisfactory. She informed me that she could not give me a refund and that she was sorry. Overall, I would highly highly recommend finding someone else to do your eyelashes. They are natural looking but not too subtle either, and they blend my ash-brown roots into my ombre blonde tips really well. It's so pretty and feminine. Plus she's super nice and fun to talk to! So, I have decided to write this review. I had an appointment on Monday at 2:50pm for a custom facial. This was my first time to the spa. Kayla was my esthetician. She seemed very nice. The problems began when I got on the table. It was really cold in the room. I guess I expected the table and blankets to be warm considering it was snowing outside. When she started the facial, I just felt she had little to no experience in what she was doing. I have had many facials, and this was by far the worst I've ever experienced. I couldn't even relax and enjoy it because it was so bad. She was also wearing gloves that were too big for her hands, and it just felt so bad on my face. I've never had a facial where the esthetician wore gloves. I am an ER nurse, and I haven't had a facial in over a year. I was really looking forward to this. For a $155.00 facial, my expectations were high. I booked the Custom Facial online and the description I copy pasted below from Vagaro. There were a few extractions which she mostly just concentrated on my nose. I felt she was distracted or something. There was no pressure at all used when she was trying to massage my shoulders. It was uncomfortable to have to sit in such a negative environment, but my foils had already begun so I couldn't leave. I observed the other more experienced stylist put color on clients and either leave them for an extended period or take other clients in between. The client who sat when I was processing booked with one stylist and was sat with another. Super unprofessional and weird to not notify the client of that change. My stylist at the recommendation of the more experienced male stylist toned my very light hair with an ash toner which I told my stylist not to use in my formula. This left me with an overall darker tone probably three levels too dark. I'm unhappy and know I can't go get the toner stripped for another week. My hair is much weaker because I was over processed and I'm very disappointed overall.
