Lydia is the best! She's sweet, professional, efficient and does a wonderful job. My lashes last longer here than anywhere else I have tried in the past (6-7 weeks!). I always look forward to my appts at Lash Cosmo. read more

My girl Jin is still killing it and I couldn't be more proud or happy for her and her growing business! After many years of business, Lash Cosmo now has it's very own commercial space in downtown Bethesda and it's beautiful. There's a waiting area with a coffee bar, a reception desk and two beds behind glamorous sheer curtains where your lashes will be done. Additionally, despite being in downtown Bethesda, the location allows for easy street parking or garage parking just across the street. Jin has always been so warm, communicative and professional so nothing has changed there. And if you're a fan of her dog like I am, you'll be happy to know you still might get to see him as well. What has changed is the space and an expanding list of services. I've been a client for years and still feel satisfied every time I set an appointment up with her and can still enthusiastically recommend! read more

I purchased a Groupon and tried this place out. The studio is girly, chic, and beautiful on the inside. Upon walking in, the woman at the front desk greeted me and had me fill out a questionnaire in a timely manner. The eyelash extensions itself didn't take very long- I was in and out in an hour. I've received extensions in the past and they've always taken minimum an hour so I was pretty surprised she finished so quickly. The adhesive glue used did have a harsher smell than previous studios, but not the biggest deal. A few lashes fell off within the first day, but most stayed on for about 2 weeks before it started looking sparse. I wouldn't come back to the studio or recommend it without a Groupon or some type of deal. read more

Recently relocated to Bethesda from NJ. I have been with my lash stylist for years and totally trust her but unfortunately not an easy commute. Lash Cosmo accommodated a last minute appointment so I would be ready for a photo shoot. Lovely environment, very professional and lashes look great. Will check back in to see if they last but the meticulous work done to apply makes me confident for a great look until refill time. read more

Excellent work. The results are naturally glamorous. I was a customer prior to the pandemic and I've just returned. I forgot how very good Cosmo's lash extensions were. I get compliments nearly everyday. read more

Expensive compared to others, but very fast. She always seems pretty frustrated by the state of my lashes, but not the easiest to read due to language barrier. Cute set up. Park behind the building. Not clear which spot is hers. Never got a ticket. read more

Jin was sweet and the location is nice but the process was painful like she was plucking my eyelashes and she kept getting glue in my eyes. She only asked me what length I wanted but did not consult with me about what would match my eye shape or my face. She used the same length across my whole lid which I find odd since your lashes are shorter near the corner of your eye. When it was over she rushed me out of the door. You can see the glue clumped in my lashes in the photo below and there were lashes on my pillow the next morning. read more

I really can't say enough about how wonderful Lash Cosmo is!! I would highly HIGHLY recommend!! Jin has an adorable studio and is just so fabulous herself!! Wonderful to chat with, and her work is absolutely flawless! I got my lashes as a "trial run" of sorts before my wedding, and I absolutely loved them! So, I had them filled in for my actual wedding, and Jin took the extra time to make them absolutely perfect. And I mean PERFECT. I'm not sure I've ever had so many compliments in my life!! Needless to say, I'm hooked on the lashes, and hooked on her! She is so sweet, wonderful to talk with, precise, and very accommodating with my crazy schedule. She is great for everyday lashes (I'm in the military, so I have to keep mine a little more simple!) and wonderful for special events! If you are even thinking about giving it a try, go to her! You won't be dissapointed!! read more

After a terrible experience with a salon in Wheaton Mall, I was in desperate need to "fill in" my eyelashes since it was 90% wiped out after the removal of cluster extensions. Thanks to fellow Yelpers, I found Jin of Lash Cosmo... Environment: conveniently located near the beltway, Takoma Park exit, off of New Hampshire. There are ample parking at the residential location. Once, you arrived, you might get greeted by a cute dog - no worries, he does not bite. He's just very excited to see you! Inside is clean with a touch of glam. Beware, that memory mattress will knock you to sleep! Service: I bought the Cosmopolitan and it took about 2 hours: Jin will ask you what you are looking for ie. natural look, fuller look etc. Fill-ins are about 1hr and 30 minutes, give or take. Jin is a pro and friendly. She pays attention to her craft and never once I feel like she is rushing you out, just like in a salon. Additional Info: the website and the online appointment app is very convenient and user-friendly. If you're a returning customer and planning to book a fill in, all you have to do is go to Lashcosmo.com click on Set Up An Appointment, Online Store, Re-lash and from there you can see the prices. Overall, I would NEVER go back to a salon to do my extensions! Also, you know you're in great care when you do not feel a sting in your eye from the glue when putting on your extensions! read more

Such a good experience! I found Jin on Yelp, and was able to get an appointment quickly for an eyelash refill coming about 3 weeks out from a full set at another salon. She was very pleasant, conversational, and professional. My eyelashes looked great and it took just about an hour! I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town! read more

Let me tell you...Jin is AMAZING! She's such a doll to get along with and not is she so pleasant to be around, she's very talented! My lashes look amazing and I LOVE THEM! I've received so many compliments from strangers saying that I have beautiful lashes and they have no idea they are extensions! My friends/colleagues who knew what I looked like before I had lashes stated that "I looked different and prettier" and couldn't pin point exactly what it was. I love them and will probably continue with the extensions. I was a newbie and it does take some getting used to at first, but after the first 2 days they feel normal or maybe I just got used to them :) Well, I'm definitely used to how they look and happy that with a little bit of lip gloss I feel like my face is complete! Thanks, Jin!!! If you're thinking about getting lashes, DO IT and go to Jin...you will LOVE THEM! read more

Had my first appointment with Olesia and absolutely loved the results. This was the most comfortable lash application I have ever had and least irritation I have felt after an application. Have already made another appointment. The salon is also very cute and looks very clean. read more

I wanted to try softer lash extensions (like the Korean ones I can get done in NYC at blinglash), which ExtremeLash did not offer (at the time), and I found Jin. She is a sweetie! Flexible with scheduling, and she does a great job with lashes. ALSO, her pricing is really great. read more

Jim is very nice and personable, but all of my lashes fell out after using her for less then two months. I knew something was wrong when they started coming out in clumps, so I went to another highly regarded provider to get them removed. She took a picture of my lashes and showed me that four or five lashes were clumped together with one lash on top, when it's supposed to be one lash extension on one lash. She also told me the amount of glue on my lashes was ridiculous. Because of all the glue and all the lashes bunched together, my lashes are now gone. It looks like they were waxed off. I have so few lashes that I couldn't even have extensions put on. Hundreds of dollars spent on a service that ended up costing me my lashes. Also, it shouldn't hurt to have lash extensions put on, but I felt like I was having my lashes ripped apart and pulled at during my appointments. That should've been the first sign. I really hate to leave a bad review, but what happened to me was not ok. read more

I found Jin on YELP! and I am so glad I found her. She is so sweet and friendly and her dog is adorable. She is a perfectionist and does her job very well. She is also $100 cheaper than other lash experts and the quality is by far amazing and the best I have seen thus far. Most importantly, these lashes are very light and not heavy on my eyelids, which is a plus. Please come and see Jin and stay away from the nail salons for lashes. Jin uses professional quality products and gives you great customer service as well. I felt like I was at my friend's house, the atmosphere was amazing. I already have long lashes but I wanted something a little more noticeable for my event this weekend. Jin is a jewel, you just have to go see for yourself! Oh and BTW I am not easy to please, so this review is alot coming from me! *See the pics of my lashes in the photo gallery* read more

OMG! My hidden secret--Jin is my new secret weapon. People kept commenting on my appearance, and said "your makeup looks AMAZING!" "something looks different" --well here's my secret :) Her location is wonderful, clean, and her service was impeccable. She was running a little behind and made sure that I was comfortable and was so apologetic I felt like she truly cared. She made me feel so relaxed and comfortable, and she showed me pictures of different examples of eyelashes. I looked up and she was done! It looks SOOO natural and the eyelashes that I've always wanted. I will definitely make this a regular in my beauty routine. Thanks Jin! #youdabest read more

I started going to Jin for a "Lush" set of lash extensions in June, which I've since been refilling every 3-4 weeks with either Jin or Lydia. The extensions make enough of an impact without overwhelming my eyes, and I've never left an appointment feeling any pain. The experience is pretty relaxing, although Jin is more than willing to make "girl talk" with you if you want. COVID protocols are also quite thorough. All in all, choosing to try lash extensions has been one of my favorite decisions this year. They're a confidence booster for sure! read more

So due to events beyond my control I missed two attempts to get my lashes done from my regular place. I was headed out of town and decided to search Yelp because of course you can't just walk in anywhere in hopes of good service. When I saw Tara L.'s review of Lashcosmo I knew I was on the right track. Today was my second visit. I needed a refill and I absolutely love my lashes! I'm very picky and have had bad experiences. .good and great..over the past 3 years of getting lashes. This experience ranks up there with great. Prices are reasonable. I love the convenience of being able to book online. Clearly this women knows her craft well. She is quick and efficient and as much as I like my previous technician I've decided to jump ship and make Lash Cosmo my new place. read more

Attention to detail and patience are crucial when it comes to your lashes. I love getting my lashes done by Jin. After the first time, I kept coming back for more - and still do. It's great to just wake-up-and-go some mornings - the lashes make such a huge difference. I have very short and thin lashes, but not after Jin gets through with them. I have gotten so many compliments on my eyes, shhh! I never tell the men... Jin has a wonderful array of different types and lengths. She listens and creates a natural look for your preference. I like to have fuller lashes that fan out the most at the edges, although we have also done the center. She has silk ones that feel amazingly natural and light. However, I still like the traditional ones because they are a bit thicker. I can hardly wait for my next appointment for refill because I want to try the mink ones next. I take care of my lashes by trying to wash around them and I listen to Jin's directions to not get them wet for the first 48 hours. They last a really long time and I never wear mascara - the lashes do enough for me! read more

Ummmm NO! Jin is money hungry. She did my lashes (basic) and had the nerve to charge me $200. I was pissed because the job she did was shitty and not worth that amount. I recently got individual lashes done for the first time, Kishawn the artist there was informative, punctual, polite, and professional. She explained the process, each step before she proceeded with each action, and did a great job. We all love it when as soon as you get in the chair you know that you're in good hands-- that's what it's like with her! After loving my lashes and about 3-4 weeks I made an appointment and came in for a refill. My appointment was for 1:15 and I arrived a few minutes late around 1:25/30 which worked out well as she was finishing another customer. The owner quickly approached, greeted me, asked if I was new, and offered me tea/coffee. I waited about 5 min for Kishawn to finish up. When she did and I saw the customer before me emerge she looked amazing! I had a lot of questions for Kishawn, (what kind of lash was used for that look, etc). I'd let her know I wanted to use a groupon. Unbeknownst to me you can only use a Groupon coupon once per customer (which I used for my first visit). Kishawn warmly explained that per the policy, I wouldn't be able to use a Groupon. I really valued her expertise and service and didn't mind paying full price. I asked Kishawn a few follow up questions just to understand the cost for full price. She was in the middle of explaining the price for services before taking me back when the owner yelled from the back, "WE HAVE BACK TO BACK CUSTOMERS TODAY WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?" How rude!!! Mind you, this is the same woman that greeted me and asked ME to wait as they were behind when I walked in. I responded "I'm trying to decide what I want to get" - expecting to get some form of an apology. I'd never had to wait for service then been rushed like this. SO RUDE. No apology, no anything, she just said "ok". At that point it was clear that this owner did not value my time, or me as a customer. I decided to cancel on the spot and go elsewhere. KISHAWN - you should get out of that shop before she runs away your clientele. I know you would never yell across the shop at one of her customers to hurry up- it's a shame she doesn't extend that courtesy to you. Happy to visit you for services if you decide to leave that shop. I won't be spending a DIME where I'm yelled at and rushed. To be clear, this was not about a voucher or Groupon rules. I had no issue paying full price for services (rules are rules, and Kishawn is so good it's definitely worth the price). The issue was the lack of professionalism and literally being yelled at from across the salon by the owner. It was rude, and was unwarranted. I literally was being yelled at by the owner as I'd just determined with the tech Kishawn the appropriate style I wanted to get. She literally yelled at us to hurry up AS we were turning to head back to get started. How insulting! read more

Tried this place out since they had a Groupon deal. Was my first time getting lash extensions. The salon was cute and clean. I got the 'lush' lashes service and Jin was my technician. I think she did a good job, but she talked way too much. I thought getting lash extensions was supposed to be relaxing, most people I know who had them said they fell asleep during. I had a long week, and had an event to go to after my lash appointment, so I was really looking forward to relaxing a little. She is very friendly and personable, but the constant chit chat was super annoying and I think it took away from the experience for me. I didn't come for girl talk, but maybe others do and enjoy it. My lash extensions are natural looking, but I prefer them more full. I wish I had asked to upgrade to the 'doll' lashes, that might have been more of the look I was going for. They don't really pop. Nobody noticed and I didn't get any compliments. When I told my friends I got me lashes done, they said 'Really?? Let me see??!' And stared at me with squinty eyes trying to figure out what I meant by 'lashes done' I guess lol! My friend said she preferred my strips better, they make my eyes pop more. I kind of agree, but I guess I can wear mascara for a thicker, longer look. It was a nice service for the deal I got, but I would have been pissed at paying almost $300 full price for the results I got. I will probably get lash extensions again, but go somewhere where I can get them at the fullness I like for a more affordable price. Edited to add that it is less than two weeks later, half of them have fallen out and they look very sparse, and I think I'm having some kind of allergic reaction to the adhesive. Both my upper and lower lashline (which is weird because I only got extensions on the upper lashes) are extremely itchy and slightly swollen. My eyes also burn every time my lashes get wet in the shower. I am not blaming the lash tech, it is probably a chemical in the adhesive I'm sure almost all salons use, but I'm a little pissed I paid for lashes when they're almost gone not even 14 days later, and I'll probably need to take an antihistamine to get my skin back normal. Not worth it in my opinion. read more

Contact Jin at Lash Cosmo. She is conveniently located in Wheaton and does a phenomenal job! I found her by doing a google search for the best place for lashes. Her online reviews are outstanding, so I tried her! She's a bit pricey for the first set, but it was well worth it, and they tend to last longer than others. Also her fill-ins are about the going rate and you'll get them less often. I've only been to her twice but I'm truly pleased with her work and will continue to go to keep my lashes looking this great! Tell her I sent you! http://www.lashcosmo.com read more

I'm all about aZn PrYdE but the one thing that I have to complain about (besides our inability to digest lactose) is our spare, thin, and stick straight lashes. When I had heard that several of my coworkers were dabbling in the world of lash extensions, I was simultaneously horrified and intrigued. But the proof is in the pudding: having thicker, fuller, lashes instantly makes you look more wide-eyed and awake. For eight months I toyed back and forth with the idea and finally decided to bite the bullet. After getting my first full set of Xtreme lashes at another salon, I decided to get relashed by Jin at Tara L's recommendation. Even though I had to travel state lines to visit her (only a quick 35 minutes from Arlington plus there's a Ren's Ramen nearby), I definitely know that I will become a long time customer. Here is why: + Online booking - So, so, so necessary + Bright and Airy Modern Studio - The space is located in her apartment but it is tastefully decorated and very clean. The last place I went too seemed a little bit crowded and hectic so this was very appreciated. + Memory Foam Bed - So comfy! I was surprised how easily I zoned out. + Technique + Quality Products - Jin was as patient as can be to provide me with a look that I loved. Her glue is formaldehyde-free which is a must for me and the lashes she used (Novalash) were a lot lighter and softer than the Xtreme lashes I had used in the past. They also seem to last longer and I am able to easily glide eyeliner on my eyes if I want to play up my look a bit (something that I was unable to do in the past). + Pricing - Lash extensions are an investment since you have to go back every three weeks. I am happy to report that her pricing is about $10 - $20 less than other eyelash services in the area. ....and as a bonus. Puppies!!! Jin has the sweetest puppy who will curl up in your lap to cuddle while you are waiting. Can't wait to go back! read more

I had talked to several people about their lash extensions (both good and bad!) before I finally decided to give it a try myself. They all recommended their lash stylists, but I am very picky and I decided that I would do some online research before settling on who I would go to. I found two people that had high marks here on Yelp and I contacted them. Jin returned my call and answered all of my questions, and I am so glad I decided to make the trip to her studio from Germantown! That was last June and I have been completely addicted to Jin and lash extensions ever since! She really knows what she is doing and she also knows exactly how picky I am and what I like. Jin is a great conversationalist and I love talking to her, but I have to say it is so relaxing that I sometimes doze off! Booking appointments online is a terrific convenience and the prices at Lash Cosmo are by far the best in the area! There is no other lash salon that offers such attention to detail, such a quality outcome, and such a reasonable price. I get so many compliments on my lashes! No one suspects that they are extensions because they look so authentic. Usually people just ask me what mascara I wear or they say "Wow, you have the most gorgeous lashes! You are so lucky!" I AM so lucky because I have Jin who can make my aging thin lashes look amazing! I truly don't feel like I need to wear makeup at all! I had a set of lashes about five years ago. I decided to get them again and the prices were atrocious!! I wanted to find a service with quality but was also affordable. So Yelp to the rescue! I found Jin based on the Yelp reviews, the website, reasonable pricing structure, and privacy. I called for an appt. and it's been history ever since. Her website is very intuitive. You can sign in with a FB account, each appt. is logged, and you can set recurring appts. Jin was able to give me an idea of what to expect in the appt., consulted on the length, duration the lashes would last, and suggestions to perserve them. Her place of business is very quaint. Her dog is her office mate just so you're aware. She is very professional, but also has the vibe of an old friend. I visit for a appt. about every three weeks. read more

Just finished getting my first full set of lashes from Jin and I look HOT. Still need more convincing? 1) Jin is one of the more affordable lash stylists in the area - my full set was $160+tip compared to the ridiculous $300+ that other places charge. Her refills start at only $35! 2) She's been doing extensions for 4 years and is certified with Xtreme and Lavish Lashes. 3) You will look damn sexy. Jin is meticulous, really friendly, and so good at what she does. Being that this was my first time, I wasn't sure what kind of lashes I wanted - there were so many options! Jin took the time to show me different examples from her past work and talked to me about my lifestyle and what would work best with my eyes. After an hour and a half of talking to her like she was one of my best girlfriends, Jin was done and I looked fabulous. My lashes are a bit longer than what I'm used to but they look so good! Things to Note: - I am giving her 5 stars because I love her work. However, the location isn't the best (on the border of Silver Spring and College Park) but once you get inside her home studio, it is clean, nicely decorated, and so comfortable you'll forget about the neighborhood. - She has a really easy to use online appointment book if you go to her website. It's very convenient and has additional information about the types of lash extensions she offers. - If you refer a friend, she has a referral discount for you! read more

Part 2 Well even though I am a heavy handed contact lens wearer, the lashes stayed on. Didn't really have to use mascara that much. I decided on my fill in to add volume.
