I read all the positive reviews online.I paid the $100 consultation fee, believing it would be applied toward the treatment. (This was later refunded). Unfortunately, the consultation quickly turned into an upsell. Instead of simply discussing the IPL treatment I came in for, I was encouraged to purchase a series of three $700 treatments, along with approximately $600 worth of products to use for two weeks beforehand. I was not interested in spending that kind of money on skincare products, and I had made that fairly clear. What was especially disappointing is that I came in ready to become a customer. Had I been able to simply receive the IPL treatment my dermatologist and I had discussed, they likely would have had my business. Instead, the sales approach completely turned me off. I'm now out the $100 consultation fee and will be taking my business elsewhere. Sometimes the best way to gain a customer is to listen to what they came in for rather than trying to sell them something substantially more expensive. Unfortunately, My Skin Dealer lost a potential customer--and gained a poor review instead. Update: my consultation fee was returned with an apology.

The aesthetician was Annamaria and she did a great job with my face. She was so nice, warm, and friendly. The treatment is very thorough in cleaning your face and making it brighter. I'm not a huge fan of staying silent during a facial. I like talking to the person and for the person to explain the process of what they're doing as well as how it benefits my face. I didn't receive that but it was still a nice and relaxing experience. I walked out with my face brighter and refreshed. I highly recommend trying a facial here.

And so I was able to observe how Zuhra has been setting up her space and the products she was putting on her shelf (while she was not there :D) Zuhra and my nail tech don't keep same schedule on purpose. My nail technician said that Zuhra has an ongoing promotion on the 8th of March for 50% off (she is new to the area, and it's important to get new returning clients) so I bit the bullet and went to see her, for me, but also to hopefully be a returning AND referring client for her. I did also read her already existing reviews on her instagram and didn't have doubts for her quality of work, since clients don't typically just leave raving feedback :) I felt that I met with a friend as we first got into discussions of something else entirely as I came in, and shared in our experiences about a subject we clearly both felt passionate about, before we got to the skin questions or anything. :D She takes great interest genuinely and is a great listener too. I arrived with unusually flaky, sensitive skin, likely due to recent hormonal changes (part of our discussion actually) as well as my sport. Zuhra was incredibly warm and welcoming, and she immediately knew how to adjust the treatment for my skin's condition (she recommended to me the treatment as well after hearing what I typically do, what are my concerns and when and what was my last procedure, but also looking at my skin as. a professional). She took great care to keep me comfortable while still making the procedure she recommended to me effective. This was a roller used together with the best in peeling solutions blue (I think) serum, that would stimulate collagen and take away some of the dry skin (more so apparent) "wrinkles", for the lack of a better word. We finished with red light therapy, which I absolutely loved! My skin felt amazing afterward -- a baby's face. I highly recommend Zuhra! She's a true professional, I am going to scurr away now and put on the lotion and serum she gave me to put on at home for the next few days each morning. I haven't used it this morning yet and woke up with baby face just the same btw :)
