When I went in for a consultation in 2016 I was told it would be $5,000 for 9 treatments for full body laser hair removal including face. I honestly didn't do enough research and this is expensive! I was eager to do something about my biggest insecurity that I didn't realize there were better deals at other laser hair removal places. I get to treatment #6 and I express my unhappiness with the results. They tell me I still have two more treatments and asked if I wanted to add 3 more for $1000. I told the front desk worker I was told 9 treatments for $5000 during my consultation. She laughed at me and said "9?! That's such a weird number. Who told you that?" I thought to myself, how is 8 less weird than 9? When I told her it was a brunette that I never saw again after my consultation. She said "yea she obviously didn't know what she was saying". My naive, 21-year old self signed up for 3 more treatments . They didn't help at all! There is also a different nurse every time. I would have preferred the same person to do my entire treatment to keep it consistent. 3 years post-treatment, my hair is thinner after 11 treatments and grows slower, but it's still visible and def not removed. Only result I liked were my lower legs. Maybe it's because I'm brown-skinned that it didn't work well. Moral of the story: Don't go here for laser hair removal. They're all about sales. If you're receiving treatment rn or thinking of signing up, this what I learned a little too late: schedule the appointments 8 weeks apart, shave 2 two days before not the night before, and EXFOLIATE!!!! Over due review, but I am finally booking a laser tattoo removal at another medspa and am bummed that I have to spend this much again:( I was told that I should buy a package of 10 sessions, which could take two years to finish all treatments. I told the lady I might be moving back to my hometown in the next year or two (to a place that does not have a LaserAway). She said it was no problem because if I moved they would just give me a refund on the remaining sessions I never used. Well I ended up moving a year later and when I called them they said they couldn't refund me for the unused sessions b/c it was 12 months since I purchased the package. I clearly told the sales lady about my concern of moving and she mislead me into buying a large package. And, they make you wait 2-3 months between each laser session so its not like I could have used all 10 treatments within the 12 month period anyways. I am not sure what to make of the progress of my Clear and Brilliant treatments but only time will tell. My pores seem slightly smaller, maybe? (Photos attached). After my first treatment my face was EXTREMELY red and felt very hot to the touch. I initially worried some damage may have happened because for the following week my face would turn pretty red and get hot randomly. Though that subsided. I told Láser away of the issue and the recommended I try more sessions. I initially said no but they convinced me I needed more to see results and that they could turn the laser down a notch. they also tried to sell me on other services such as IPL even though I'm already doing a package of laser hair removal on my armpits, Brazilian, legs and upper lip.
