Terrible place - Owner is rude. Waited in the lobby for nearly 40 min read more

This place is the most disgusting, unprofessional, dirty, old, moldy SCAM! I purchased Groupon for laser hair removal. Not only they NEVER keep their scheduled appointment times (made me wait several times for 30 minutes while she took a walk in) but once it was my turn, their laser machine (old piece of ...) overheated and wouldn't work! It happened not once but few times. This place is a disaster with the worst customer service I have ever experienced! They keep their doors locked from the street, and when tech/receptionist is in the back with customer you end up standing outside on the street like an idiot. Oh, did I mention mold on the treatment beds???!!! Horror read more

My face is scarred from this place. I have gone to two dermatologists to try to reverse hyperpigmentation from the laser the owner performed in my face, but no luck. Stay away especially if you have black skin. read more

yes, a super fan just 2 treatments and NO Hair ... so friendly and warm I am so very happy with the results...and I just booked 6 more sessions !!!! read more

Don't go to this place for something as delicate as laser treatment on your skin. I had a terrible experience here and walked out before I even had the treatment. Small, shitty little place. Closed when I got there 10 minutes before my appointment. Technician shows up to me and another customer. She is rushed. Makes no eye contact, no apologies. Starts to complain about how she never makes appointments at that time because she has other responsibilities. She has her son with her and is barking at him to put the signs up. She goes back and forth with other customer about the wrong appointment time and finally looks at me and says, " what are you having done." No regard to my privacy, no politeness. Just horrible. She tells me to take a clipboard and go the back but not before she pulled her kids arm roughly and asked him to stop playing with something. That's when I walked out. I would never trust an establishment like this to do laser. I hate having my time wasted like this. Stay away from this place! read more

Late last year, 2016, I purchased a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal sessions in RVC. I normally purchase sessions in NYC for things like this, but after moving to RVC I definitely hate the LIRR and am making an effort to patronize local businesses more often. My first session I was doubtful I would see results. I didn't think the girl I dealt with zapped me enough times and I left freaking out that I dropped 200$ to be disappointed. This wasn't the case going forward and ultimately I am satisfied with everything. The girl I dealt with for my remaining 5 sessions in 2017 was great, we had several funny and interesting conversations and she was very thorough. I don't see that they offer the Groupon right now, but if you are interested I would give them a call in case I am incorrect. I finished my sessions right before summer began and I may take up a few more depending on their regular pricing. read more

I called to make an appt for full body laser, and the lady asked me : what does that entail of? I told her she should know that better than I would. Which was my question to her. But she said " i had no idea we did full body laser" From the bad reviews I read, and the phone call I just experienced, I would never call back again or even give them a try. How do you trust a place that doesn't know what services they offer. I'll pass. read more

Bought a Groupon for this establishment package of 3. Had 2 more as this an old black tattoo. Owner is down to earth and friendly. Considering this my first tattoo removal it is not painful at all. Location is convenient by car and half a block from the LIRR. read more

The worst.. This place doesn't even deserve one star I got second degree burns on both my full arms and they didnt even care. As a result I know how scars for the rest of my life . I decided to get this treatment because I always felt insecure about the hair on my body and ended up being worse than I was now I have to cover my arms at all times. Please do not go there . read more

Laser Spa And Techniques - Laser Hair Removal Near Me - Rockville Centre, New York

Worst ever experience!!! You know they say u get what u pay for... do not buy Groupon and do NOT do laser tattoo removal here!! I've done NINE sessions and my tattoo hasn't budged!!! Yesterday I went to a specialist and after she asked me a million questions, she realized that The owner had used a HAIR REMOVAL LASER on my tattoo!!! It all made sense as the specialist explained it to me. What a waste of time, money and PAIN!!! Her laser (not Lasers) was very old and had to be cooled down every few minutes. The establishment was filthy and there were kids running around. This was not professional and I will report my experience with the help of an expert to the BBB to hopefully keep others from being potentially scarred and ripped off!!! read more

They are quite inconsistent with prices and although I do love one of the laser techs, or USED to. I'm being nice by giving two stars because of the results I did see and also for Jewel who seemed very knowledgeable and makes you feel quite comfortable which is essential during a FULL Brazilian. But when you return for another session or call for an appt it's as if she's answering from a cell phone and doesn't seem to remember you. They also aren't keeping up with the competitive market that laser hair removal is becoming. When I called to get a quote for a package instead of paying per session (I also added that id rather not go to a random cheaper place I found on groupon because I did enjoy going there). She seemed uninterested and gave me a quote for almost DOUBLEE what I used to pay with her. I guess random place in astoria it issssss This place has got to work on its customer service or I'm sorry to say it won't be open much longer read more

By far the worst facial experience of my life, absolutely do not go to this spa (if you even want to call it a spa). You first walk in to a dirty digusting couch only to be led in the back to a dirty disgusting room. The facial room has no sink, which should have been the first indicator of what was to come. The products were purchased down the road at the local CVS, the "techincian" was chomping gum as she was speedily applying multiple masks to my face which in between would leave the room. What happened to getting a scalp or arm massage while trying to relax with a mask on? Well she did massage my right arm but totally ignored my left. When asked if the mast was supposed to burn my face she told me she knew what she was doing. My friend and I made appointments together, and when I finished I learned that they never even took her. Had I known, I would have walked out mid "facial" DO NOT GO HERE IT IS A SCAM read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I have called numerous times left messages and the owner or manager will not return any phone calls or emails. The employees will not tell me who the owner or manager is and no one from the facility returns my calls. Don't go here! read more

I've been going here for years now I've never been disappointed. Jewel knows exactly what she's doing and I trust her advice. The place of business is clean and welcoming. I'd recommend this to friends and family. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. Really dirty. Not appealing to the eye. Called one day to make a appt, the receptionist was very rude. I only found this spa because of a deal on groupon. I was getting a tattoo removed I didn't get any numbing cream (the worst pain). I call again to get my next session and the receptionist says you have to pay $50, I replied why I prepaid the service on groupon. She couldn't give me a straight answer why I was actually paying $50.. Decided not to attend the next session because it still wasn't clear on why I would have to pay more money. read more

I have had a really good experience here!! I love the owner and the place is being renovated quite nicely! I had my underarms done and am very happy with the results. Going back for my 3rd lip laser hair removal session and already see major results with my upper lip. Recommended a friend and she is happy as well..... read more

I found this jewel through a referral and I am pleased with my results. I started with a Groupon and after my first session I was surprised at the results from just 1 session. The owner, Jewel, was very informative and always pleasant. Prices are reasonable and I have referred several people interested in the services she offers. read more

I have been going here for about 2 years (consecutively for about 9 months) and I've seen a HUGE difference from what I used to have! Definitely works, go here and try it out. Jewel offers very reasonable prices as well! Definitely will continue to go and I've recommended 2 people that go here too and they love it! read more

Jewel is great! My boyfriend and I have both been coming here for a little less than a year for tattoo removal. Jewel is very thoughtful and explains the procedure very clearly. She is really dedicated and caring about helping to remove our tattoos. We have both seen a lot of progress and I would highly recommend to others considering tattoo removal. She is also very affordable compared to other salons. read more

Very clean and very nice staff. I have never gotten laser treatment before. The staff walks you through everything and even ask midway if it's ok and if you want it adjusted. They are redoing the place but it never felt messy or unclean whenever you arrive. They are very understanding if you're stuck at a light or delayed, they're always available to reach and always send you an email or text reminder. If you're interested in getting laser treatment and its your first time, I would 100% recommend this place ! read more

So far I'm pretty happy with the service and results of my facial hair removal. Never had a problem making an appointment, and always received a reminder for my appointment (since I always tend to forget). The price was really affordable compared to my research on others laser companies. I had a bad experience on my second section with one of the girls that used to work there, that's why i prefer to be taking care by jewel. I would definitely consider coming back in the future for hair removal read more

Jewel is amazing and knows what she's doing. She's the reason I go back every time, I hope that people can look past the negative reviews because she really makes your experience worth being there and the results are great! I have only had the best experience here with my laser and dealing with the Jewel. read more

The actual service I received was acceptable, however the aesthetician was unprofessional and rude. During one visit we waited over 15 minutes for someone to even greet us while the aesthetician's teenage son (I'm guessing) slept in the receptionist's chair. We were made to wait over 1/2 hour, after she stated it was a small business so I guess I had to expect rude treatment, a long wait and unprofessionalism? I suppose for the amount I paid for a laser treatment, it was worth it but the customer service end was definitely lacking. I probably would just pay extra next time for a nicer experience. read more

I love coming here to get my laser treatments done. I purchased a groupon and I can honestly say, I was not treated any different from a regular customer. I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews, granted the receptionist isn't nice but overall the place is amazing, well kept, clean, Jewel is knowledgeable, and my treatments do not hurt. AMAZING, I WILL CONTINUE TO COME HERE FOR AS LONG AS IT IS OPEN! Another important thing, I went in for my appointment, it was my 1st time and Jewel eased me into the process. Absolutely wonderful and kind. read more

Paid for a groupon for this terrible place. I called to inquire about making an appointment and I think I spoke to the owner or operator who had an attitude from the beginning of our conversation. She kept cutting me off and talking over me when I asked if she can get back to me regarding how many sessions I had left. She told me she is not in her office and doesn't have time to tell me that. I said, "ok, call me when you get back to the office". She replied, she won't have time for that either bc. She's booked all day when she's in the office. What?? She told me to just keep calling back and hopefully she will have time to look it up. Hopefully?? She'll have time to look it up?!??. The gall. The audacity. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. I don't mess with any places that do not know what customer service is. She should be out of business. No wonder why she only have two stars, borderline one star!! She's a joke! read more

I definitely reviewed the correct place. I purchased a Groupon for 3 visits for hair removal on a small area. Jewel was the technician for 2 of those visits. She was quite pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I would not be complaining if the place was "no frills" but it was dirty and the equipment was old and outdated. I would have been willing to overlook all of that if the treatment worked but (sadly) it didn't. read more

Great place! The staff is sweet and accommodating. I have seen a huge decrease in hair because of the laser removal. I highly recommend this place! You won't be disappointed! Five stars read more

Thought it would be nice to support a black owned business but I was highly disappointed with service and the laser treatment... I have 1 session remaining and I have no desire to return... Before I buy anything on Groupon I will have to check the place out first... I feel as if I wasted my hard earned money. read more

I have had laser hair removal several times on different areas and have no skin sensitivity whatsoever to it. I decided to try my arms and after just moving to the area went to this laser spa in Rockville Centre. I would echo the other reviewers that the place is filthy and unprofessional. To start, when you call it is as if someone is on a cell phone and they have no clue about appointments or anything that someone answering the phone of a business should. The technician was outside smoking several times when I would arrive, then would complain the entire session about money and work. On one occasion no one was there when I arrived for my appointment and they tried to ding me for a session. However, the worst came this fall during my fifth session - the machine seemed to start overheating during my process and my skin was really burning. The technician finished the pass and I noticed red marks all over my right arm. When I commented she seemed to care less and blamed it on the air not working on the machine (another red flag to the schottiness of this business). When I got home my fiancé was shocked to see I had burn marks all over my right forearm. I now have white depigmentation scars that may never go away. I have photos that are attached and I am actually looking into a lawyer for this. Needless to say, I will never go back there and I would never recommend this place. Negative stars would be appropriate. read more

Are you kidding me? Who lights people on fire??? I purchased a groupon for a SWEDISH massage at Laser and spa techniques in Rockville Centre, hoping to try it out. I have passed it many times and from the store front it looked nice. Boy was I wrong. When you walk in the door, it is clear this place is worse than one of these new foot spa/massage places. The front is decorated with a old, dirty couch where 2 employees were lounging when I arrived. I arrived on time however was made to wait 10m before my massage. I was brought to a room that had a make-shit, folding type, uncomfortable, massage table covered in a thin fitted sheet with a small fleece blanket. I was told to take off my clothes and put on a velcro towel. My therapist entered the room and reached into my breast area to un-velcro the towel and took it off (strange). The massage proceeded ok, but I was never asked if I had pain, problem areas or any medical conditions etc. After a light back massage, I began feeling suction on my back and realized that I was getting light cupping (I did not ask for this). The therapists cell phone rang. She ignored it but then 2 min later just left the room, I was not sure where she was, but she came back with a warm, wet washcloth. She washed the oil off my back and then began spraying me with what I soon recognized to be rubbing alcohol. I then heard a click and felt my back burning!! I jumped up and realized that she had lit the washcloth on fire and was now briskly shaking the towel to put out the fire!!! I screamed at her- asked what the heck she was doing and why, or at least why I was not warned about this. I added that it is dangerous to spray flammable liquids and light fire near people, especially near hair. She explained that this is how they relax muscles and if I did not like it should would stop. The rest of the massage proceeded with the oil, suction, cleaning (now with a wet, cold towel) then a light application of lotion. The quality of the treatment was poor and the professionalism was non-existent. As I was leaving I noticed the products that were being used were things that were likely purchased at the dollar store. As I left, my therapist was sitting on the dirty brown couch, talking on her cell phone. No one asked how my treatment was... it's a good thing I guess because I was irate! I went home, jumped in the shower and found a small first degree burn (like a sunburn) on my back and later that evening realized that I actually hurt my back jumping off the table while being lit on fire- it will all heel but I left my massage in way worse shape than I went in! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE, IT IS A SCAM! read more

Worst place ever!!!!! The prices seem amazing but wait until you need 20 or more sessions to see any results! Unprofessional, dirty, terrible results and did I say unprofessional? Don't fall for their seemingly great groups it's a scam read more

Doesn't even deserve one star. Went to get a SMALL tattoo removed. Should have been done in about 3 visits. She talked me into buying more and I went for 5 treatments which barely worked. I went for a consultation elsewhere and they told me that she was probably using the laser on the lowest setting so I'd buy more treatments. Unprofessional. And the place is filthy. read more

Very unhappy with the treatment there. I had a 6PM appt. got there at 5:50 to be early. When I got there the place had a bad odor and the couch had 2 older kids asleep on it. I was not greeted by anyone. I stood there waiting for someone to come out. After 20 min standing I started to walk back into the salon to let someone know I was there. A little boy came out and I asked him do you work here? He said My Mom does , I said can you tell her Im here. He did and this women came out and I said I have a 6PM and I have been waiting,(got a blank look) She proceeded to not even to apologize for the wait and said 'Im done now - here is the room to change. I went in to change and again I heard her talking to the same client she was working on. Now it is 6:35 Still nothing is starting with me. I opened the door and I said I have another appointment I thought you were done - she said I am. I said to her you told me that 15 min ago. Still no apology. I got feed up changed and when I was leaving I told her she does not know how to run a business. She said bye - Have a good day! I was treated very bad and would never recommend this place. What a shame! Groupon should take her off!!!! Place was a mess too. read more

Most uncomfortable "spa" experience of my life! Bought a living social deal for this place to get facials for myself and my mom. Had a very difficult time getting someone on the phone to book an appointment (took weeks of calling with no answer). Show up ten minutes early to this weird storefront that looks like an entrance to a house/apartment, very hard to find and wouldn't have found it if there wasn't a standee outside on the sidewalk that day with something about spa written on it. Go to open the door and it is locked! Knock for minutes and no one answers. Finally another patron opens the door for us a crack and says she's not sure if she's allowed to let us in because the employees aren't around and she was told not to open the door?!?! So she does let us in anyways (it's winter and freezing). You go in to this waiting room with the grossest (grossest might be an understatement for how stained and filthy it was) saggy old couch and we waited with the other patron. Not an employee in sight to meet us. Oh wait I forgot to mention there was a 3-4 year old boy sitting at the desk! One if the employees sons. He was trying to play some sort of game or get on a website but had no idea how to do it. I tried to ignore it but being an elementary teacher I ended up taking pity on him and helped him get on nickjr.com to play a Dora game. Essentially we ended up babysitting this kid while we are there waiting for a solid 15-20 min at least. So awkward. Finally an employee came out and we were taken for our facials which were lackluster to say the least and the only time I've been nearly choked by stream. I've been to a lot of places from living social or groupon deals that were hole in the wall small businesses and not a super fancy "professional" spa so I went into this with realistic expectations. This is by far the worse "spa experience" I have ever had at a gross and very not relaxing environment. Super unprofessional, like they didn't even try. I am continuously surprised that they still have offers on living social, I thought they would be out of business by now. Stay away!! read more

jewel is very nice and down to earth. the place is small but clean. i called before purchasing a groupon and found out all the information i needed before going in for an appt. jewel honored the price of the groupon at the office. i have purchased 6 session for full bikini treatment. she is very good and knowledgeable about the laser treatments. i have only did 2 treatments so far but i do see results. i have been to another place before and the experience was horrible. i would recommend my friends and family to her. read more

This is the worst place I have ever been to. went here about 2 years ago for a laser treatment. The technician or owner Jewel acts like she knows everything but really doesn't. The laser machines never worked. They are cheap outdated machines that are not even used in the competition, but Jewel will tell you otherwise. I now go to another laser place and have seen real results. You pay double price on first treatment and on your last treatment your supposed to get the extra you payed back. I never got anything back. It is simply the worst place. Hard to believe its still here on long island. After reading the reviews I see nothing has changed. If you don't value yourself or your hard earned money then go here. But if you want to see real laser results please spend the extra money and go to a reputable place. I thought i was saving money but your skin and health shouldn't be compromised for low prices and services that don't even work. read more

Buyer beware! Unfortunately this experience was a bust. I purchased a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal treatments to a small area. The person who picked up the phone when I called to make an appointment was a bit rude so I was slightly put off, but decided to go ahead anyways. When I got to the location I was surprised to see it was basically a store front with a cloth banner outside. I almost didn't go in! But I wanted to at least try. Inside wasn't much better. The receptionist is also the technician. I had to fill out some paper work which included my credit card info, that didn't make sense since I had paid for the Groupon of 6 treatments. The technician did not introduce herself, did not explain the procedure, did not give any aftercare instructions. This was my biggest issue as I've had laser hair removal before and I know sunblock on the area treated is imperative. I was dismissed in 5 minutes. I will not be returning. If you are looking for a spa like experience you will be very dissapointed! Groupon was kind enough to issue a refund! read more
