They had colored lights to add to the mood (you can switch the lights to any color). The floors are marble which give that elegant touch. We didn't use any of their props but the owner did mention that they had plenty available to help create the scene. This is located in a very residential area so there is parking on the street. Of course it can still vary by the hour. I definitely recommend booking them for your next party OR if you need a creative space!

Updating my review after hearing more of the full picture of what happened. The company fell short…read morebecause the on-site helper did not show up to the boat until 6:20pm (boat opened at 6, several of us were there at 6 and waiting in the pouring rain for 20 minutes) and there was generally poor communication / lack of clarity in the whole process. We also felt that given the weather conditions (this was the Saturday during Hurricane Helene) we should have been given the option of changing our boat to a different date or given a discounted rate. I now understand it's the coast guard's call, but I think the company should have enough knowledge of the boats to know whether they can handle such waters. Our boat was so rocky and wet it was nearly impossible to walk around without fear of falling / gripping the handrails, and there was even a flood on the lower level. However, what really took the icing on the cake was the owner's behavior. Once we made our experience known to Nancee and she directed us to Eric, owner of the boat (the Avalon), he was extremely dismissive and rude to my friend and co-host over the phone. He called her a liar because her experience did not 100% match with the contract-signer's experience (our other friend and co-host). He wasn't receptive to what she was saying and behaved in a shameful way for a man who has a family and owns a boat (!!!). Nancee, on the other hand, was apologetic and had a productive conversation with my friend on the phone, and even offered a discount for us if we were to ever charter with them again. I understand this might have been a one-off bad time with the company and my experience, but my advice is to not rent the Avalon for any of your needs for any occasion. The boat itself leaves much to be desired, and God forbid you have any problems because Eric does not care as long as he gets his money. And he will call you names on the phone and act unprofessionally if you try to have a conversation with him.

The decorations was beautiful and they even did my centerpieces which where tall glasses with pink water. We added our own centerpieces which were gold mason jars and pink roses. She did a arch of balloons and gave us a baby shower couple chair. Normally you have to rent them. What was great about the space was the dance floor I love the back and white tiles. I also loved the stage for the cake to be the center of attention. The lights were amazing gave it that disco club scene and there was a bar (you bring your own drinks). There also is a coat room and what I loved is that we had a security camera just in case anything went wrong. The surround sound was great too it was a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend this place and am looking forward to throwing my daughters future birthday party here because it was a no hassle event. Week days are cheaper then weekends! Love

After going over some suggestions of venues we decided to join their guest list at Marquee, it was a Friday night and there was some big DJ and a huge line. We met our personal host, Ariel, who was very welcoming. He introduced himself and after a few minutes asked us to follow him, we felt like VIP's. Those who like cooking will be thrilled with a night at Susi's home, but others who are happier socializing and eating (like myself) will be just as satisfied. As soon as we arrived Susi handed each of us a personalized apron (probably the only thing that I'll ever see Chef Andrea on), told us to tie our hair back (I appreciate a hairless kitchen) and directed us towards delish apps and wine. But the night got even better... We were split into groups and I was placed into the capable hands of Chef Charmaine. My group was in charge of the upside down strawberry cake. Yum- I hope there'd be batter testing involved!! Charmaine gave each of us a job (mine was to crack eggs). We chatted and drank wine while we baked so it was actually fun. I may have given her a slight heart attack when I dumped the vinegar into the batter way earlier than necessary, but for the most part Charmaine made sure the others would be able to enjoy our cake. By the time I was over cracking eggs, stirring batter (and yes, even taste testing) it was time to sit down for a 5 star meal of gazpacho, flatbread, salmon, quinoa and the cake. I wasn't a huge fan of the salmon, but it was probably just me because it quickly disappeared from everyone else's plates. Everything else was absolutely incredible. I love that Susi hosts these dinner parties right out of her cozy home and if I had a kitchen that gorgeous I may even consider cooking. Maybe.

While one group was cooking in the kitchen along side professional chefs the other group was being entertained in the dining area with some kitchen/cooking trivia which was loads of fun. The dining area is relatively small so I'm not certain what the capacity limit is for an event hosted by this company but my guess would be a cooking event by this company is probably limited to a group of about 50 at a time. Larger companies probably would have to break into two separate time slots (but of course only they can answer that question). The kitchen was very clean and we used quality pots, bowls and culinary products and it was apparent when you held the stuff. It truly was an amazing experience and the staff was patient and absolutely great. Heck we were even a tough crowd getting carried away during the entertainment portion. The staff probably wanted to hit us over the head with a couple frying pans but they were great sports! My only complaint from the event was that my company was cheap and didn't order beef, they opted instead for veggie options (Yuk!) but the food quality was great.
