And I probably should, once I'm not longer a scardy cat, but I like that you can't tell if they are shooting, because it's like impossible that I have gone there when no one is practicing. The place is quiet, cold, clean, and just a gun club. Google maps will sometimes try to send you a building up or down, so be aware. Came here with some friends during a rifle marketing event in which they were offering free range…read moretime with their showcased rifles. We used the opportunity to become more familiar with rifles since most of us had only shot a handgun prior. The staff and vendors were welcoming and it was an easy process registering for the range as a first time customer. They had plenty of eye and ear protection included for free and a good selection of targets, ammo, and rental pistols. The range itself seemed pretty standard in my experience with indoor ranges, so no complaints there. While I like the central location of this range, I think my only hesitancy of coming back here is the parking. I mean it is a very small lot to begin with and only half the spots are available to Top Gun because they share it with another business. We got there shortly after opening and it was already full by then. We were forced to park way down the street because street parking is limited as well. Multiple times while we were there, the staff were calling out vehicles that had parked in a non-Top Gun space for removal before they would get towed. I just feel a business of this size needs more guaranteed parking. To note, the range wasn't even that packed inside when we first got there because again we got there shortly after opening, so I can only imagine how frustrating the parking situation will be during peak hours. Otherwise, I recommend this place if you are looking for a decent range in Houston. They also sell all your firearm needs and my friend actually bought a handgun while we were there. It also looks like they host firearm classes as well which is helpful for beginners or those that want to sharpen their skills.

Shouda done more research because I found out after that the scope only cost $330 brand new straight off of SIGs website..... They got me for $595. Feel like I was scammed a little bit because it's not even close to a $500 scope and they know that. So I paid $300 for a scope and $295 for them to mount it (mounting a scope isn't a $300 service btw). Not a bad place. Seemed like ok guys. But I won't buy from them I can tell you that much.

I've been coming to American Shooting Centers for clays and range time for 25+ years, and until last Friday (12/11/25) around 11:30 a.m., it was a place I regularly recommended. We visited as a family across three generations: a grandfather (Navy veteran and lifelong East Texas hunter), his two sons, and his grandson who was learning to shoot his deer rifle. For roughly the first 1 hour and 45 minutes, everything was fine--one range officer on duty was professional, helpful, and encouraging. As we were wrapping up to head to the pistol range, a different range officer took over and the tone changed abruptly. He repeatedly reprimanded the Navy veteran in a confrontational, in-your-face manner over muzzle angle while the rifle was being carried away from the bench to be cased/put away. From my perspective, the muzzle was angled upward (not level or toward others), but not perfectly vertical. Even if the officer believed it needed correction, the delivery was unnecessarily aggressive. A few minutes later, as we were packing to leave, the officer escalated again and told the veteran he could not walk to his car with his gear until the "line was hot again," because the range was in ceasefire. When I reviewed ASC's posted rules afterward, I could not find anything stating that access to/from the shooting area is restricted during ceasefire in that way. Bottom line: the safety expectations may be valid, but the way they were enforced--especially toward an older customer and veteran--was disrespectful and ruined the experience. Our family won't be returning, and I can't recommend the range based on this incident.

After a horrific visit at a close by competitor that has USA in their name... this place stood out like a beacon in the night on a foggy night at sea. Upon entering we were immediately greated within 3 seconds. The gentlemen there welcomed us in as if we were familiar family. We approached the counter and I asked them if they did trades and he said yes but it depends on exactly what I was interested in trading. I went back to my vehicle to show them my trade and a little background and they were more than happy to give me close to what I purchased it for as it was only 2 days old from where I originally purchased it from. They happily gave us a small tour of their facilities and showed us some products of interest. They were extremely knowledgeable about every product there as they are also a gunsmith shop so can also do any type of modification allowable. I was extremely happy to hear that they have a 30 days return policy on anything you buy there. Their nearby competitor surely doesn't have that same policy. The customer service is excellent and I was able to make my trade as well as buy new hardware. I'm also happy to announce that they are adding a range early next year right next to them. I love that small shop feel of a place vs the corporate treatment where you're treated only as a number. In fact, whilst I was there another customer walked in complaining about that same nearby competitor and how bad they were with customer service. Clearly they have a reputation that Texas Underground doesn't have and have been the savior of many. This is my official spot going forward for Ammo and Armory. Be secure and Prosper.

I recently bought my son a shotgun for skeet to introduce him to the sport and he absolutely loves it, they have a great little area for skeet. I love the staff, they are respectful and plain spoken. No frills at this place what you see is what you get and I really appreciate that. It's never too crowded which I really appreciate from a safety standpoint when compared to other highly trafficked ranges, I never need to look over my shoulder. Very fair price point to for the quality of service provided. Great facility, terrific staff and convenient location for those of us South of the loop.

He told stories to make the classroom time flyby and I was entertained the whole day. The gun range was a blast. I've never really liked guns and have always been scared of them so I went in super nervous, having only shot a gun a handful of times. By the end of the hour at the gun range, I felt so much more comfortable around guns, understanding how they operate, and more confident with my ability to handle one.
