Does not know how to do certain jobs. She messed it up. Then claimed she would fix it and blocked my number from receiving texts. She asked me to pay her direct rather than Groupon. I even paid her an additional tip. Buyer be aware. read more

I am beyond happy with the results from my laser hair removal done by Lynda. She is kind, smart, and the med spa she works out of is very clean. I had been thinking about doing laser for years and am so happy that I finally did it, and that I got it done at Laser Nurse. She's a certified nurse and truly knows what she's talking about. If you're looking to do laser hair removal, Laser Nurse is definitely the place to go! read more

I was referred to Lynda by a friend a couple years ago, and I'm so glad I was. I saw great results after just a couple sessions. I've saved so much money by not having to wax every month and don't have to deal with the "growing back in" period ever again. Definitely way worth it. read more

I have been to over a dozen different laser (and electrolysis) places here in Manhattan and Lynda is head and shoulders (no pun intended) better than anyone I have tried. The good: Lynda is a certified nurse (hence the name), she is knowledgeable and honest. Unlike other companies -I'm looking at you Lucy Peters- she says it the way it is. She doesn't give false hope to entice you into buying packages that somehow the customer always gets the short end of the stick. The Better: Lynda is so easy to get along with, she is kind, compassionate and understanding. The previous locations I went to, the lady doing the procedure seemed like when she got home her significant other wouldn't give her the time of day and she would therefore bombard me with endless chit chat about her cat dog grandchild boyfriend etc to the point where I wanted to scream "shut the **** up". Lynda on the other hand, doesn't chew your ear off talking, while you are going through a procedure that sometimes can be a bit uncomfortable. She understands each client and caters to their particular need. She is accessible by text anytime of the day. Her routine and procedure is exceptionally thorough, doesn't miss a spot! The Best: Her pricing is fare and inexpensive compared to the competing services. When you go to Lynda, you don't feel like your are paying for an elaborate over the top office overlooking Central Park with floor to ceiling windows. Rather what you get is a clean pleasant office in a Doctors office (no basement of some downtrodden and neglected hotel, flower shop, or some back room in a nasty warehouse) with a helpful friendly and caring person. Long story short: Finding the right Laser Hair technician could be a nightmare, take it from someone with experience, Lynda is a dream! read more

Lynda's the best! She's so meticulous and will take the time to try to get every little hair. I really appreciate that she never rushes her work and makes sure that you feel comfortable. She's very sweet and personable, and her prices are fair. You'll know right away she's experienced with laser hair removal - she's an expert with her laser machine and understands different hair types. She'll take the time to explain her recommendations (how many sessions you'll need) and will take the time to answer all of your questions. One thing is if you're planning on getting hair removal in sensitive areas, you may need to get a numbing cream prescription from your doctor. Also, if you're coming from out of state, there's a parking garage right across her office. Highly recommend! read more

I have been getting waxed since I was in college. I have extremely dense hair follicles and since I began waxing, I had developed extremely painful ingrown hairs in my bikini area. I tried every waxing salon for awhile, not realizing that it was the waxing that was aggravating my ingrowns. When I say I had bad ingrowns, I am not kidding. Every waxing specialist would take one look at me and say, "wow, that's bad." They would all give me their own remedies of exfoliating, and selling me their magic cream, not believing me when I told them I already tried it all! Nothing helped. I felt hopeless and truly humiliated whenever I had to wear a bikini. I did a little research on laser hair removal and thought I'd give it a try. I got a free consultation at Completely Bare and their prices were completely unaffordable. Then, I found Lynda. I met with her and she took a look at my bikini area and said the same thing that the waxers said, "wow, that's bad." She was honest in telling me it would take a few sessions over the course of several months, but eventually, I should see good results with the laser treatment. Her prices were affordable and it was worth it to me to try it. She was right: it took until the third treatment to begin to see results. I decided to get my entire area lasered to prevent any further ingrown hairs. Slowly but surely, I began to see truly incredible results. Now, I am nearly completely hairless down there, and what hair I do have is extremely fine. What's even better is that the scars have healed. I have no more ingrown hairs anywhere. I do go back every few months for a touch up but I am so amazed and grateful for what Lynda did for me. It's pretty brutal to go through your life dreading every moment you have to put on a bathing suit. Now, I can wear it confidently without constantly picking at my bikini bottoms. I also appreciate Lynda 's generosity in offering affordable prices and reliable services. I see deals all the time to use laser services for cheap prices on Lifebooker and Groupon, but you have to be SO careful with laser treatment. Lynda is a registered nurse. She knows skin well and knows what strength of the laser to use for each patch of your skin. I have since gotten my underarms and legs treated too, all with just incredible results. read more

I have been here multiple times for my laser treatment. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: -She is kind -Great customer service -Works with your schedule Cons: She takes a bit longer than most places but that is because she is very thorough and wants to hit every hair follicle You end up having to deal with the pain a bit longer but you are getting your money's worth. I would however recommend getting a test patch done and if you have olive/tan skin, request the settings on the lower side during the treatments. Overall she is knowledgeable (she is a registered nurse), has delivered great results, and is nice. I know there are salons who do it for cheaper but personally one of my requirements are that the person doing it be a medical professional, so if I do get burned they know how to deal with it. Keep in mind she is also more reasonable price wise than other places who have nurses and doctors who perform it. read more

Ok so I have a wooly boyfriend. Looks like he's wearing a sweater when he takes off his shirt kind of wooly. Old men in the locker rooms at the 14th street YMCA kind of wooly. You get my point. Well, anyway, he wanted to give laser hair removal a try, so I searched and searched for the perfect person to make him feel comfortable with this whole process.... and that's where I found Lynda. She was so kind and welcoming. He's sort of a big baby, and she walked him through the whole process and suggested things to help with the pain that comes along with blasting your follicles with a laser. She also helped him decide how much hair he was going to remove, so he would wind up looking like normal and not a seal or an olympic swimmer. It's a year after she worked extensively on his chest and back, and he looks MARVELOUS. Even though we've moved to a completely different coast, I want to go back so she can help me out next! Thanks Lynda!!!!!! read more

Lynda is honestly the best out there! She is a registered nurse who will provide you with a consultation and tell you if your hair meets the criteria for the treatments. She is not the type of person who would lie to you to make money. After the very FIRST session, I saw a big difference. I'm already on my 4th session for underarm and brazillian. For my underarms, I honestly don't have anymore hair. I used to hate shaving because after a day my hair would grow and there would be ingrowns and pimples. My skin is the type where if I shave, I break out the following day and it's painful when my hair grows back, especially in the Brazilian area. So for a while I turned to waxing but then I thought to myself, I might as well put that money towards laser and not have to deal with hair anymore. It's very hard to find someone that's affordable and knows what they are doing. I searched around and came upon Laser Nurse (Lynda). This was the best decision I ever made! I will definielty recommend Lynda and keep recommending her to people. Once I am finished with my sessions, I will do an update on here. The way things are going, I know there will be no disappointments. read more

Lynda is wonderful. She doesn't rush you & answers all of your questions. She explains to you exactly what's going to be done so there are no surprises. I found Lynda after reading reviews on yelp. She is exactly what the reviews say she is and more. Her work is good and she is very knowledgeable about her craft. It's my first time doing laser treatment for my under arms & Lynda did not disappoint. I felt very comfortable. Price is reasonable. I did not wait long at all and was done with my treatment quickly. Lynda responds to you almost immediately via text if you have any questions or concerns. I've already made my next appointment. So glad I don't need to look further as Lynda has done great! Her office is clean & cozy. You will not be disappointed. read more

I highly recommend Lynda. Friendly, & professional laser hair removal offered by a qualified nurse. Lynda doesn't over book people and gives people the time they need. She responds to messages quickly and is easy to get hold of. read more

Thanks to Lynda, Every time I go to her, she's really easy going when I get my brazilian laser hair removal. The prices are reasonable, and affordable at her location and I've been looking for a good place to get my laser hair removal around NY area since I am from California, I found her on Yelp based on reviews & ratings. The location is not really that hard to find, It's past Madison Square Park, couple minutes away from where I live. Lynda gives you a confirmation for your appointment a day before the actual appointment and she gives a very quick response when you want to make an appointment with her as well via text. When I arrived to her office, She will buzz you in and check in with you; when I walked into her room to get my treatment done, She immediately gets started with the hair removal and prepares you for everything you need, but she always will do her best to make you feel comfortable (i.e. ask for ice pack :) , cool gel...). The procedure of the laser hair removal takes only 15-20 minutes, and it goes by really quick; Lynda lasered down every spot that was needed to be removed which I appreciate, haha. I was able to make my next appointment with her, and she recommend that I get my next treatment within 6 to 8 weeks. I most definitely will recommend her to my friends or family, she's really great with what she does at her job :) And I'm glad that I was able to have my hair removal done with her immediately. You will most def get great service from her! Thanks again, Lynda! :) read more

Lynda is excellent. She's very responsive via txt and email, and provides answers to all the questions you can think of. She's also relatable and fun to chat with. At the appointment, she's professional and very quick... and not to mention, so reasonably priced! I'm getting my unibrow, lip, armpits, and brazilian lasered and she charges me only $350 per session, and it's over in about 20 minutes! That is insane! But the best part is how amazingly effective this treatment is. Just after one treatment, I barely have anything left in the areas I treated. I wish I had done this sooner. read more

Just left my 4th Brazilian laser appointment with Lynda. The results have been drastic since the very first appointment. I was constantly plagued with ingrown and wild hairs going in all different directions before beginning treatment, and am now pleased to say that I don't spend precious time thinking about that area at all anymore. I imagine I will be finished with the process within the next two treatments, of course I had a lot of hair to begin with. Lynda has always been courteous and professional, providing comforts such as cooling gel to make the process less painful. The price also cannot be beat. I highly recommend her. read more

Lynda is amazing! She made me very comfortable, answered all of my questions, and made appointments with me that always worked with my schedule. Truth be told, laser hair removal hurt a lot - but I also did it over my entire body and certain "personal" areas hurt more than others. Due to how personal this can be, I recommend Lynda, as she is very professional and does everything in her power to make you comfortable with the pain or the "personal" aspects of the procedure. I also have had little to NO hair growth after seeing her. She does a GREAT job - she really knows what she's doing. Thanks Lynda! This was one of the best things I've ever done for myself! read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Linda this past weekend. Scheduling a consultation was very easy. It was clear that she was very experienced and knowledgeable with laser hair removal. She was able to schedule me during the weekend. She suggested different packages and was very accommodating with her payment plan. She also did a patch test. It was refreshing to meet someone so dedicated to providing the best treatment for clients and yet not acting like a pushy saleswoman. I highly recommend her services in the city :)) read more

For under a year, Lynda has treated all my problem areas: legs, underarms, bikini area. I'm happy to say that the results have left me with more confidence and better self esteem. She is VERY fast, professional and a registered nurse, so you know she is a professional. She has been doing this for years--started off with electrolysis and moved onto laser. An underarm session would take only seconds. She is very friendly, courteous, accommodating and hip. Both men and women have frequented her, so you know she will never judge you and she will outperform others. Her location is very easy to reach in the East Village, very close to the L, 6 and F trains. read more

The very first time I got laser, it was at a very well known high end spa. The results were terrific and I wanted to go again, but I reasoned with myself and I knew I could not sensibly afford it. I began to do some research, and I found the Laser Nurse Lynda. Not only was she located just a couple store fronts away in the east village, but her prices were reasonable and AFFORDABLE. Before going to my first appointment I was worried that "you get what you pay for" and the results wouldn't be as good as I had experienced at the other place. But I was wrong. The treatments are so successful that I keep deciding on new parts of my body to laser, because I can actually afford it! Lynda is very sweet and methodical, and I do NOT want to go back to life before I found her. I no longer have armpit stubble! Yay! I have also recommended her to friends and family, anyone who has gone has been thrilled with the results. Sometimes I even give out sessions as presents. * A note about the number of sessions required.... 6 Sessions are recommended for each part you want to treat, but the number of sessions actually depends on your skin color and the color and texture of your hair, so everyone will achieve different results, but Lynda will be honest with you from the start about what results you will likely achieve. read more

Lynda is amazing--so kind and caring, she makes getting lasered much more fun than it probably should be. I love that she owns her own business, and there is zero upselling. She's total a pro, and I'm so happy I found her. I recommend her to everyone I know! read more

I have been getting laser treatments with Lynda for a few months now, and I am totally in love with the results! Lynda is professional, organized, and explains each treatment before she starts. I have had her laser my underarm area, and I have had smooth and hair-free underarms since I started. This makes tank tops, bathing suits, and strapless dresses so much easier to wear, and you don't even have to think about shaving! The process is fairly quick, and while it is a tad uncomfortable (the actual hair removal part), it isn't terribly painful! I was actually surprised by that, I expected it to be a lot worse. Lynda's office is clean and neat, and she is always on time. Overall, I would highly recommend her for your hair-removal needs. read more

My experience with Lynda was the best laser experience I've had. She discussed everything with me and answered all my questions and she really made me feel comfortable. There was redness after the treatment and a little swelling but it went away after a couple of hours. The hair on my arms never grew back and it's been 3 years. I live in Queens and getting to Lynda was a bit inconvenient so I tried Laser Cosmetica because it's closer to my home and I could drive there. Unfortunately I got suckered into a 3 year deal and I'm dying for it to be finished so I can go back to Lynda. Their machines do not work and their customer service sucks. I recommend staying away from them and those other big laser companies. With Lynda, it's just her working on you so she remembers your needs and comes up with a treatment plan for you. She's also friendly and personable. I can't recommend her enough read more

I feel awful for not having reviewed sooner, but here we go. My experience with Lynda was no different than the rest. She is utterly sweet, professional, and fair. Her prices were amazing, and in 5 sessions I had the results I was looking for. If there is something else I would like lasered, and likely there is, I will be back! I so much appreciate the time she took, the reminder appointment phone calls, and the very reasonable prices. Thanks Lynda! read more

Lynda is amazing! I started getting laser hair removal treatments on my face about 7 months ago. I noticed great results even after my first treatment. I would say after my first treatment, I saw about a 50% difference in the amount of hair and thickness on my face ( I had very thick hair that would grow on my face prior to my first treatment). I have gotten 6 treatments with Lynda and I must say I have very little to no hair growth on my face. I would say I have seen about a 98% difference in the growth of the hair on my face. I'm so thankful for Lynda and her expertise. She's also really patient and kind and will make sure you are comfortable with everything. The hair and hyperpigmentation on my face due to shaving was something I was super insecure about. Lynda has really helped give me a boost of confidence! Lynda's pricing is also very affordable compared to other laser hair removal spots and she gets the job done fast and well! She is my go-to laser hair removal woman haha. Thank you Lynda! read more

Amazing service. Lynda explains everything thoroughly and moves smoothly to prevent pain. After just one session I saw an amazing difference, just went in for my second session and there was barely any pain at all! She works with you with payments and is extremely affordable. Makes me feel secure that she's a registered nurse, I wouldn't want just anyone touching down there. After waxing for a year, I will NEVER go back. She's the very best, if it's your first time don't be scared, Lynda will take good care of you! read more

Lynda is amazing!!! I can't thank her enough for my smooth body! I've done a lot of research before starting my sessions with Lynda and visited quite a few places. None however made feel so at ease as Lynda did. And trust me you want to feel comfortable during this somewhat painful procedure. Lynda is always very patient with me. I have super sensitive skin and she always lets me take my time to ice the areas. Surprisingly, the redness goes away pretty quickly. As I mentioned, my skin is extremely sensitive and Lynda, with all her years of experience, definitely knows how to deal with my skin type. I am near the end of my treatment. The results are absolutely fantastic!! Cant be happier!! read more

Been to other laser removal places and this is by far the most relaxed and private. Lynda is super nice, always on time, careful and thorough. I've been going to her on and off for years to work on different areas and can say her treatments are very effective. She used to be in the East Village and I found her because she was close by, but she's worth traveling for! The first laser treatment I had was a dermatologists, and they technician burned my skin, but Lynda has never caused any burns. Getting the settings right matters a lot. read more

It's really surprising how much laser treatment varies from location to location. The first time I had my bikini line lasered, I had five treatments (the recommended number) and found that my hair was growing back after a few months. It grew slower than before, but it grew back! The touch ups Linda did to my bikini line were perfect. No regrowth! Now I've done my legs at well. She's a perfect professional and a skilled technician. I would recommend her to anyone. read more
