As he looked around my home he noticed a number of things that needed painting which I appreciated. When I confirmed the job for him, he told me would start "around early Sept." When early Sept arrived, I had to follow up to confirm an actual start date. He said "around the 7th." On the 6th, I texted to see if we were on for the next day. His response was to ask if it was me. I then called him to express my concern that after several texts he wasn't sure of my number and text history. He mentioned issues with his phone vs email and not being very technologically savvy. I mentioned I felt I was chasing him for updates, but once work starts I need proactive updates and predictability. I also mentioned he wasn't wearing a mask when he arrived and asked that he please do so when we interact further, to which he said: "well neither were you." Wow. True, I wasn't, but he was coming to my home and should have come prepared. My mask was simply inside. He then said, "if you're so stressed out about this, I don't really care that much about painting your house." At which point I agreed this is a no go. Can't comment on his work, but attitude was clearly arrogant and unprofessional. No thanks.

I've never seen anything like their quality and care with an exemplary note to detail. This last job was removing 2 full grown Junipers mistakenly planted by previous owners in a space with little to no room for error as you can see from the photos. I even ok'd it with the joining neighbor to come over to their side of the fence to clean up any strays afterwards but... not a single branch fell over the fence even though you can see most of our two trees hung over to the neighbors side! Sesar and Ziara are miraculous, kind and really great to speak with and work with. I'll not hire or even think of hiring anyone other than In & Out Services, their price is fair, work is perfect and work area is always left cleaned up. We had hired him to paint almost the full interior and exterior of our home but only got to doors, base molding, wainscoting, kitchen cabinets, and 1 bedroom. All of which have drips galore and missed spots. Zero prep on the cabinets, literally just sprayed over nails sticking out. He would say "I'm not sure what's going on with the paint because it keeps dripping but I'll go back and sand it off" or he would say "the drips were there before". He would ask me to go around with tape to mark anything that needed attention. The final straw was painting a bedroom. He painted the ceiling the wall color mistakenly. The walls were super stripey and soooo poorly painted. I mentioned this to him and he said "I don't know what's going on with the paint, I put two coats on. Would it be possible if I purchased higher quality paint?". We had given him a $3k deposit which he felt he had earned that week and decided not to refund us any of it (not even the portion for the exterior). We asked him to come pick up his supplies and leave all paint for us the next day. He said he could be at our house at 9am so we planned to meet him at that time. Instead he texts us at 7:30am saying he was there grabbing his supplies. My husband drove over to get the key back and discovered he brought "help", apparently another employee who was quite defensive about their (mostly the owner Felix's) work. It felt wildly unprofessional. But anyways, I'm all for giving credit where credit is due so you can be the judge, all I can say is hire wall to wall at your own risk.

On the Friday they called, a contractor had pushed a job out and they offered to start the following Tuesday (just over 1 week from the show). We immediately agreed (we're retired and had nothing going on that week). On the Monday morning they had a residential job postponed at the last minute by the homeowner so we said great, come on down!! I moved the motorhome and they did all the prep (sod and old curb removal, leveling, forms, crushed rock base, etc. on Monday - and it's a really weird shape! Tuesday they poured and stamped the concrete including placing the support tube for our new umbrella. Wednesday morning they finished it - stained and sealed!! They are not satisfied by the "joints" between the "flagstones" produced by the stamps and grind them all out by hand to define them better. Could hardly believe it!! They really take pride in their work. Absolutely fabulous job!! Great guys, all of them. Friendly, enthusiastic and very professional. They show up promptly when they say they will. The patio is gorgeous. He painstakingly measured it afterwards to calculate the actual square footage to charge us only for the actual amount (weird shape to quote on like I said). Their price is was very reasonable and per sq ft all inclusive. These guys are THE best. They even fitted in a small ad hoc job widening the driveway for our neighbor while they were here. We are awaiting the final bill so we can pay them as promptly as they did our job. Next year we plan to have them back to refinish our larger existing patio to match. I guess that happens, but it really shouldn't have. Plus, they never even called saying they couldn't make it. I made appointments 2 other times and the same thing happened - no notification. We recently set out on a journey like no other as we decided to bite the preverbal bullet and get…read moreour old cedar-shake roof replaced this year before material prices rocket toward the stratosphere even further.  After researching top subcontractors, and reading the horror stories of folks getting scammed by ethically challenged folks, we ended up getting bids from numerous subcontractors and after much sticker-shock therapy we began our earnest best-value review of each proposal.  One of the things that set Columbia Roofing (CR) apart, for us at least, was the fact that Daniel took the time to describe the process that would be used, including the materials to be used and how they all worked together to protect the house.  After some back and forth on the contract language, we opted to go forward with CR and we are very glad we did.  Day one of the shake tear-down I was chatting with the help and met two brothers who are part of the CR crew.  In short order I picked up on the fact that they were amazing guys with an outstanding work ethic, and no fear.  When I asked them about the time involved in getting the job completed, they let me know that it would take some time as "it's a big roof and extremely steep."  Tear-down took only a few days and they had the new synthetic underlayment and ice barrier up there almost immediately to ensure protection against a random rainstorm.  The crew then got significantly smaller as it was either 2 or 3 guys working weekdays and Saturdays to get the job complete.  They stood on small areas of roof that made me sick just to watch them, but they were properly secured to the roof and the brothers told me that they had been doing this for almost 2-decades.  Additionally, we did ask them to help some out-of-scope manual labor (move a hot tub about 20') and they were more than willing to assist, which again simply points to the nature of these guys and the firm they work for.  For our project, Columbia Roofing was absolutely top-shelf and as such they have my endorsement and recommendation.  They did an awesome job for us!

I highly recommend Andrew Peterson owner of Revive TC Handyman Services. He came to fix a broken…read morelatch that came off during the recent strong winds. He also checked a second gate and tightened the latch screws. Andrew recommended that the latches be replaced as they can come off again due to the wear and tear. He texted me pictures of latches that were similar to mine and said he would come back to put them on without charge. I let him know that I had purchased the new latches and he set up an appointment to install them. He was prompt and professional and showed up when he said he would. I appreciate his thoroughness and cleaning up everything. He also assembled a small side table for me while he was here and included it in just the cost of the gate repair work. Andrew is one of the nicest business owner I've met and a man of his word. I would definitely hire Andrew again for any other repairs or maintenance work that is needed.
